Hardy Aydon 10ft #5. 3 fish to the net with 2 flies. Well its winter fly fishing but not as we know it, we have had so much rain and local floods, this week has seen the first cold snap with a light dusting of snow. Not a busy day but some good fish hooked and lost, started with a couple of rainbow trout that was soon beaten by a couple of Brown trout.
A good day was had at Frensham Trout Fishery. Fly's used were green a popper and a white eggstacy doing the most damage. Concidering all the rain we have had the water was clearing and a good day was had at Frensham trout fishery and what lovely Brown's all three off them.

Frensham is a great little venue with a great mixture of species to catch. Don’t be fooled there are a few bigger fish hidden in the depths too. It’s a nice intimate little venue … if you go back I really urge you to try the dry fly sport there it honestly is one of the best dry fly waters I have ever fished

Worth a look on there facebook page, they stock with some very nice fish, you can catch some monsters. they have also just started catch and release for the winter season. It does keep going up in price but all fisheries seem to be doing the same. @@Tightlinesandscreamingreels
