    Awesome video! You just got me back in to fishing after 4 years. Used to fish the tulpehocken years ago with my grandfather when he was still here, lived in bucks county and would come up all spring. Now I live in Berks county in amity and have local streams abundant. Would love to link up and fish or even chat to pick your brain about something’s and really help me get back at it! Tight lines🤘

    Nice big male Dusty! That clip shows how you have to get the spinner,fly etc.. so close because not always but many times those big fish don’t like leaving cover very far so your casting has to be spot on. Nicely done.

    Precisely…… and most times they don’t even show you a glimpse of their existence & if you’re not persistent with a spot that you feel confident that there’s a big one dwelling in, you’d never know it was in the world! 🤙👌😁 I’ve showcased this in several other videos….. definitely a game of inches!

    Lol…… yeah that’s what happens when you hack into the Matrix! Lmao😂 Fortunately, when I was young, my dad took me to small streams with tight quarters to fish and I developed that flip cast pretty well. It’s definitely served me super well the latter part of my fishing career since I’ve started using spinners and streamers. 🤙😁🎣

  • @chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620

    @chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620

    Thank you Kindly! 👌😁 Well in 99% of the cases I’m always fishing upstream & in 99% of the cases the fish are facing upstream so if you’re approaching them from behind they can’t see you….. other than that in most cases also the fish are hiding in some sort of cover therefore when I retrieve my cast delivery past them they ambush it as it goes past them! If the water happens to be clear though, and the fish is out in the open, you have to keep your movements to a bare minimum though or you will spook them chances are. Hope this was helpful👌🤙😁

    I mainly fish streams that I’ve fished my whole life….. but when I go exploring I just try fishing a whole watershed, even if it takes a few trips! You can pretty much narrow things down on which water has potential by what they produce on your first outing…. Whether it be visuals or actual catches! 👌😁🎣

    Beavers help trout streams and the surrounding ecosystem. The dams don’t make the water warmer in the summer. They actually help cool them along with providing habitat for fish and other organisms. There are lots of studies showing that trout have no problem moving past beaver dams. Take a look at “Eager” by Ben Goldfarb and he also appears on an Orvis podcast episode discussing this topic.

  • @chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620

    @chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620

    I’m not arguing that with smaller beaver dams, but how does a trout get up over a 5 or 6 foot high Beaverdam? I have been fishing many of these streams for years, and I noticed the decline in numbers above these dams where I was catching larger fish to nearly 0 on the streams where there are large dams like I mentioned present! I’m pretty good at adding 2 & 2 without a study! 👌 I feel that beaver dams are great for growing big fish because all they eat is bait fish essentially, and possibly baby ducks, geese Muskrats & Beavers lol….. but the beaver problem is getting out of hand in many of the streams that I fish, there is no denying that and I’m seeing the results first hand! 🤷‍♂️
