Today your video was a late morning treat of "me" time. The grandkids are entertained with their playtime, and I am sitting at the dining table with my knitting and with your video. It has been a lovely half hour on this Saturday morning, pondering how to bring peace to my home environment by sorting, organizing, and making more space "between the hangers". My extra "hangers" are not only in my closet. I see some things to arrange and organize in order to capture the peace a lovely and minimal (sort of) environment can bring. Thank you.

Hi Nikki, I remember long ago I used to go to the Metropolitan Museum where they had these collections called "Wing period rooms". The rooms displayed different vintage room decor. You can look it up so you can see it. I remember standing in front of them for a good while just imagining myself in them and enjoying the furniture styles and the upholstery. The dim lighting gave them such a cozy feel. Your rooms reminded of those beautiful cozy rooms. I used to spend hours sitting by those rooms sketching stuff just for fun. I love Museums, but it's been a while. Thank you for taking me back down memory lane. Love the Michael's additions.

8:48 oh how i relate to this! We have free range chickens and they have helped ...they eat those scorpions❤ but at this time of year a few seem to always find their way inside and oooooohhhhhh am i NOT HAPPY. I have been stung before and it hurts BAD. I also relate to the dog door needing cleaned often. We have a Boston Terrier, my daughter's fur baby ooooohhhhh is this baby ADORABLE ...Jingles is her name and she has her own dog door and sun spot outside 😂😂😂 My husband put some THICK NICE astro turf right outside the dog door...it is placed on top of cement a 4 by 4 i think anyway this has helped Jing get some of the dirt off her paws before she comes in... i still have to clean often and i wash the turf w a water spray hose. by the way i am still enjoying your LIFE BOOK....6 months now and my car is still clean...new habits have been established....thanks to YOU! oh by the way...a large wood child's play house has been a great place for our two larger fur babies to chill out w out making a mess in the house during the summer...we have a dog door in the play house, a fan ...even run an AC sometimes and of couse a dog swimming pool for the big dogs to jump into...i used to let them come inside but my husband had enough and said either he was moving to the play house or they were 😂😂😂

I’ve been slowly trying to replace my “practical items” with things of beauty and the atomizer for a setting spray sounds like a wonderful idea! I'm particular about word art too. I tend to favor landscapes but if the words really really speak to my core values I may consider the piece. Like a scripture. If you're going for traditional and elegant it's harder for it to be cohesive I think. If you sit with your wishlist it helps keep your decor looking upscale and deliberate while saving money as well. 😉

Nikki, While watching the video I was thinking about how nice it would be if you could also help me out with my wardrobe & right after that you mentioned that you would consider helping another lady. If only we did not live in different continents

Good morning! Thank you for such a lovely video. I don't know if it's true but I remember in watching the movie "A Good Year" they use fresh lavender as a scorpion repellent. Hope that helps.

I love your Cottage Diaries. When I see you cleaning it motivates me to clean. We got a Ross here, but it’s disappointing. They hardly have anything. Our TJ Maxx and Marshall’s are better than our Ross.

Nikki, your home is lovely but I am curious why you have no rugs in any of your rooms?

Can the doggie door be locked if you didn't want the dogs outside for a time? And how do you stop other things ( scorpions, mice, etc) from coming inside when it’s open?
