I love how she said as a young designer she wanted to use the luxury curtains and unfortunately she couldn’t afford it so she decided to buy linen curtains that was budget friendly and she added the curtain tape to trim them. If you are a young designer, most people can’t afford those luxury products and it’s okay to admit that. I feel like her humbleness is very important in knowing when to splurge on items and when it’s not affordable to not just get it on credit card debt.

Ellie has created a simply smashing one-of-a-kind home. Her talent is HUGE! I adore her (she's hysterical) and her whimsical touches.

I was just thinking the same thing. Everyone I know who is under 40 seems to decorate their homes in "Early Ikea", and so it's wonderful to see this lovely young lady decorating with such a delightful sense of style and whimsey.

This is soooo Birmingham and I’m here for it! I love her mix of whimsy and traditional. It’s such a cozy, beautifully finished space!

Ellie is an artist and it shows. Such a classic and classy home made so much more interesting by all of the quirky elements that are surprisingly complementary (well, not that surprising, she’s a very talented designer!). Also, her floral designer friend is super talented as well.

Lovely condo-she’s added a whole lot of charming personality to a very plain space. Well done!

Oh my goodness. I kept wanting to give this a thumbs up but I had already. She has an elegant touch and eye for mixing textiles in terms of feel, color, style, era, functionality. Her mixes of vintage and modern are not forced as I've seen in some of the other videos where the designers claim to enjoy mixing modern with vintage or antique. She actually does it elegantly. Her straight forward delivery and open personality are very charming.

I really enjoyed this home tour, was great to see a smaller home decorated so beautifully while being mindful of budget. I enjoyed her presentation and stories very much and was inspired to look up 'Antiques at The Gardens' that sounds like a fantastic event, wish we had something like that in the U.K.!
