Welcome to my next project! The French Tank FT-17 from Meng in 1/35 scale. This part will focus on the gerenal construction fo the tank and the included diorama base as well as the interior of said tank.

I'm so happy that I've accumulated a lifetime supply of shipping foam from hobby parcels.
I miss Old Guard Hobby of Sterling Heights, Michigan. They had the best sanding sticks with their name on them. RIP...
Interesting 45-degree sable. Comes in handy in those hard-to-reach places.

Yes, this is a really nice addition. In the coming episodes I will also prepare and improve the base

No, I have not heard of them yet
I beg to differ, my 6-grain Dollar Store nail files tend to have the sandpaper lift from the foam quicker than hobby sanders due to lower-quality adhesive...

When it comes to cheap files, there will be good ones and bad ones. I got mine from Amazon and so far they haven't fallen apart
It still makes me laugh that the license-built American FT-17s had every dimension, nut, and bolt converted from Metric to SAE.

Yes, that must have been quite an effort instead of just using metric units
