You make it look so easy, like driving the family mini van. If at all possible I always let the big trucks over, by flashing my lights to let them know it's ok to change lanes. I get the biggest thrill when they flash all their lights to say "Thank You". I giggle!! Love the big trucks...

Nice tutorial for those of us who've only ever shifted a 10 speed. Loving all your content, Rasim! Keep putting them out and I'll keep watching!

Never get the big city attitude. Just sit back and go for a ride. You can't race anyone but yourself. Professional is the word of everyday.

I wondered if your Classic was Detroit powered. I've only ever owned 1 60 series, a 12.7L in a 2001 Freightliner FLD12064ST. It had a Super 10 "top 2" trans and 3.73 rears. It wasn't a bad engine, but, it seemed like the peak torque and power hit about 500 rpm higher than my Cummins M11 Celect-Plus. The Cummins was only rated @ 370 hp while the Detroit was rated @ 500. Torque for both was 1750. The Cummins is in a 95 FLD120 that I still own. The trans and rears in both trucks were the same. The 95 would out pull the newer truck from a start and on hills with an identical load. The Detroit did get better fuel economy though. I traded the newer one in late 2005 for my 06 Classic XL. I went back to Cummins at the same time and haven't looked back. As I said before though, Detroits aren't bad, I just prefer Cummins power.

They should still be making the Classic and so many others instead of some of the crap they make nowadays, keep on keeping on bud, you got a good channel here

Yea I guess new age classic is a Coronado, probably my favorite truck out of the new rigs nowadays. Just something about it opposed to Pete or Kenworth’s

They should still be building a lot of things instead of the crap available today! Cascadias aren't bad, we own 2 of them. We also own a Coronado glider that was built from the drivetrain of a wrecked Classic XL. It was the fraternal twin to my Classic-one # different in the VIN and the paint job was opposite of mine. We also still own the first tractor that I ever bought-a 95 FLD12064ST. It's a backup unit. All are Cummins powered. The Cascadias have automatics, the Coronado has a 13 over and the 120 has a Super 10. All have 3.73 rears. I recently checked out an SD122. Nice truck, but, to me, it needs external breathers. I'll just keep my 06 Classic XL. My wife named her "The Mistress" years ago but they get along fine lol! She has a Cummins ISX 15, 13 over, 3.73 rears and ALL the bells and whistles!

You got some really low rpms I don't shift that low. 1000rpm is basically lugging the engine. 1300-1600 is the range everyone should be shifting at
