THAT was fun! I'm kinda proud of myself for recognizing a 13 speed shift pattern. I mentioned on another video that I drove for a VERY short period of time. But I learned shifting by watching videos like this one. My trainer would always ask, "you sure you haven't driven before?" Once I'd try to downshift, he knew the answer was "Yeah, I'm quite sure u haven't driven before!" I don't drive anymore and I certainly didn't do it long enough to even claim rookie status. I was whatever is below a rookie! But I've always loved trucks and love watching these types of videos of drivers shifting through gears. Stay safe out there.

Jaime Hernandez hell yeah the old KW’s had one hell of an engine. The newer ones they make now are too toned down and the exhaust is toned down too. Sucks lol

Absolutely amazing sound and video man can you please do more exactly like this one only a lot longer with high rpm up shifting because that Detroit sounds amazing I’d really appreciate it man stay safe

When I started driving log truck I drove a 1966 Kenworth with a 335hp Cummins engine with a 5 speed main transmission and a 4 speed auxiliary transmission. Sometimes I would have to drive a 1959 KW where 5th gear was way over to the left and up under the steering wheel. It was different and hard to get use to.

Prairie Dog ; hey thats great knowing that someone else got to put time in that year of KW but I use to haul swing Meat to Portland Oregon and Denver then to Las Vegas; but I had 400 Cummins it was fun to shifting those gears and no AC the wing windows was my air conditioning.

"Well, that was fun" Don't know where we were or where we went, and with a tall boy to boot, looking forward to more!!!

great video son if you decide to do another can you put your camera in the middle of the sleeper so we can see both your rear view mirrors,im retired now 9 years and i love to watch what i used to see every day out of my cab,great gear change keep the revs low and the range changes fine,your engine is a cummins i believe could be a cat correct me if im wrong son.

I had a 2000 9200 international single screw with a 10 over and a series 60 Detroit that would run with any truck on the road.

Is that a 10 speed and it looks a little tight in there to peace and be safe out there

Very nice truck!Sounds very good! Here some man from town close to mine had KW W900 from 1969 with Cummins 903-vt!It was one badass truck and sounds awesome but too noisy inside of truck!60s and 70s were great years for trucking!Today stupid and lasy people bring electronic and automatic shifter!There isn't a point of truck driving if you have everything automatic and like modern European truck have shifter on wheel!They could just made robot truck if they are so lazy to shift!That is stupid!I prefer long hood KWs and Petes with good engine sound and manual shiter!10/13 speed shifter is just great!
