Freight Trains around Victoria

In this video we see various freight trains at various locations around suburban Melbourne and the state of Victoria. Recorded from August - December 2018 we see trains container, steel, grain and even rail trains operated by Pacific National, Southern Shorthaul Railroad, and QUBE. Some locations visited include Werribee, Lara, South Kingsville, Moonee Ponds Creek viaduct, and more!
Note that all the clips were filmed from publicly accessible areas outside the rail corridor including station platforms, footpaths, roads, level/pedestrian crossings and behind fences. Don't trespass into the rail corridor to get your shots.

Nice! The shot at 6:49 at Lara was one of the best. Does Geelong have a lot of daily grain traffic?🌾

Thanks! It's tricky to tell how much grain traffic there is on the western standard gauge line as grain trains tend not to run on a specific schedule unlike the usual intermodal container trains. I'd say there's a grain train out that way a couple of times a week. There's also a large grain mill in Geelong which sometimes gets grain trains from as far as South Australia.
I like the SSR trains.

01:14 the speed is just unbelievable. And amazing compilation. I always wait around hoppers crossing to spot a few fast ones, but I guess i am always there at the wrong times...can you help??

Agreed, I thought the video was sped up for some reason. Definitely faster than 115! At least it seems.

When the liveried NR's aren't hauling the Ghan/Indian Pacific they're treated like any other NR so they can be seen on freight trains all over the country.
