Way cool! I was a Tweet IP for 2 consecutive tours (6 years in a row) and this recreates that ear-splitting, shrieking engine noise PRECISELY! Yes, I now have tinnitus something fierce. Pretty impressive how well you did. The T-37 was basically a flying go-kart. Fun to toss around, almost impossible to crash (although a few managed to), and built like an absolute tank; a very solid, predictable primary trainer. LOL, that cockpit was in way better shape than anything I flew! Small point - the performance numbers shown aren't realistic. The operational ceiling was FL250 (because it's unpressurized), the max operational speed was 275 kts, and you'd be lucky to coax more than a 1.5 hour flight out of it on a cross country flight under ideal conditions. Great program though!

I was a Crew Chief on one of these back in the 80s at Reese AFB. I later went on to the major doc maintenance, rigged flight controls and changed landing gear during major inspections. A few of our T-37s had over 100,000 hours of flight on them. It was very loud! When an aircraft left the hanger after inspection it would get a check flight from a test pilot. One time an emergency was declared. The "rebuilt" elevator trim motor malfunctioned and went to full up trim. The test pilot said he had to use both arms to push the stick down to fly the airplane and it was very difficult. Thanks for sharing.

I flew these back in the 80’s and have been wishing for a good MSFS mod. This looks really awesome!! Where did you get the additional liveries? The ones I flew were the USAF white version you showed at Vance AFB in Enid, Oklahoma.

Good ol Columbus AFB. Down by my birthplace and where I grew up. Love landing helis on the family land around the surrounding areas. Was just at the lock and damn a few miles SE of the airport in January. This plane looks pretty good and something fun to fly with friends. Love the sound and how maneuverable it is. Definitely will check this out this evening. Appreciate the video and info. Hope all has been well with you 💯 💪

It has had a little update since the video and now the noise level is supressed in cockpit so it's a bit more bearable! Columbus is a great addon for MSFS and as a freeware is worth getting as well. Didn't realise you were so close to the base!

Born there and grew up in West Point... spent years on tractors and combines 7 minutes from the base across the Tombigbee River

I'm usually an airliner simmer, but this aircraft really is a joy to fly, and for zero cost is amazing.

This is an absolutely awesome addon for MSFS, the amount of effort put into it and as you say, zero cost is just outstanding!

Vance AFB grad here. I truly hope they can bring it to Xbox. Lots of nostalgia for me on this one.

I hope it does too, it would be great to get the console users in on the action. Would be interesting to hear what people with first hand experience think of the jet too! Thanks for watching

When I flew these we had to wear hearing protectors ( like gun hearing protection) on the ramp going to the jet and then back into the ops building after a sortie. The T-38 ramp didn’t require them. Lol

You are very lucky, I would love to get a ride in a fast jet trainer, I plan to do a video on navigation at some point which will include TACAN and ILS, I am just trying to figure it out myself as it seems there are some issues with the nav systems.
