Everyone's going to want to hug a young attractive female. No one's going to want to hug a guy. Guys won't because they're not gay, and girls won't because they think it's creepy. Guys pretty much don't find a lot of things creepy so of course they're going to try and hug/kiss/be near an attractive woman anytime.

Lol. Let me get this straight. I stated a fact about the general opinion of men. This makes me sexist because I apparently trust men less. Yet you clearly state that women should be trusted less. Well according to your definition doesn't that make you sexist too, just in the opposite direction? Maybe I could have believed your argument if you said I was sexist and the proper answer was to treat men and women equally, but you're apparently sexist against women and didn't notice the glaring irony and hypocrisy in your statement. Thanks for the good laugh though.

*Society in a nutshell*
I know that no one wants to admit it but the diffrance between a girls hug and a guys is a sexual thing, if a guy holds that sign and a guy see's him then he will think that it's a gay thing unfortunatly, if a girl saw him she would think he's doing it's sexualy motivated towards her, now if a girl hold's the sign no mater what gender see's her they will instantly think that it's cute and sweet cause society see's every single girl as a non sexual being. #SadButTrue

8monica101 lol I hug everyone already. Guys to girls. Clean to Shabby. Sad to Happy! Honestly I was hugging the monitor. But I have my limits. I mean everyone has to draw a line somewhere. My parents would flip out if a hugged a bearded man (even more so with a woman) wearing a shaggy trench coat on the streets. Although I'd be tempted if he was holding a sign and looking like he hated life. Because even they need hugs.

This doesn't surprise me at all. Most physical contact between two women is seen as non-sexual, but physical contact between a man and a woman or between two men is seen as sexual. So a woman with a hug sign is kind of seen like "hi friend!" in a silly way to other women. To men that are attracted to her, they might enjoy the physical contact with her in a mildly sexual/romantic way but she's not a threat to them. The man with a hug sign is seen with suspicion by women because if he chose to be, he is physically a threat (ex: "is this guy going to molest me or does he have some sexual motive for doing this?"). There is still a stigma about male homosexuality and men don't want to do anything that will make them seem "homo" like hugging another man. They might also have the same suspicions as women "is he going to molest me, could he do something bad to me?" Even knowing this, and even being much taller and bigger than most women (so not in much danger usually), I still end up with the same thoughts: "that's cute/fun" for women vs "is this some weird sexual thing?" for men.

Haha I don't find it gay. It's just I like my personal space.
This is for all the guys that are complaining about double standard. Before you say that I'm some feminist, I'd like to inform you that I am NOT a feminist. I am merely a guy who believes in equal treatment regardless of gender. I also try my best to avoid violence, but if circumstance is such, I'd punch a woman (AND/OR A MAN) without a moment's hesitation. It's highly unlikely, but still probable. Let me get to the point, what are the odds that a guy would hug a random dude holding a "free hugs" sign without feeling awkward? And don't pull the "homophobe" card on me because let's face it, guys don't hug random guys without feeling awkward. And two: girls (mostly) refuse to hug random guys because the male population has a fairly bad reputation with harassment. And as much as I hate to admit it, we (guys) brought this upon ourselves. So as the saying goes, "Charity begins at home," before blaming the society for this, we need change our thinking. Don't treat females right because they're females, treat them right because they're humans. There's a difference.

I think people tend to hesitate hugging men because they are usually stronger. If the guy had bad intentions and was just luring people with the "hug" deal, things would go grim for you. With a girl asking for hugs, you have a better chance to fight back if she had some weird hidden intention. To prove my point.... repeat the experiment with a male CHILD... I'm 100% sure a lot of people would hug him.

Michael Watkinson In my country +90% of everyone who dies or injure themselves are men. 3/4 of everyone commiting sucide here is men. Yet feminists claim that that "they do all the hard work and don't even get paid for it" - meaning that they clean the house sometimes. Some work at kindergardens which is a place where it's known you don't earn good money.But ofcourse it's not their fault that they choose a jobb where you don't get payed that well, everything is the mens fault! If your country is in EU you'll soon see what i mean. One of the political parties(?) got in to EU just a few days ago - they want to send every man to different schools where they'll be learned not to rape... FUCKING IDIOTS!!
@daltoncowin2263
10 жыл бұрын
Niskinatorn You're embarrassing yourself. Firstly, if you haven't even mastered grammar enough to know that the proper word in that context is taught, not "learned," then you should not be participating in this debate. Secondly, just because more than ninety percent of people who die or injure themselves in your country are men (which I would definitely like to see a reliable source for all of your statistics because that sounds completely false) doesn't mean that the men are doing harder work. If anything, it makes us sound weaker. Your point is completely irrelevant. Thirdly, feminists don't claim they do all of the work. Now, I'm not a feminist, and I certainly consider many feminist views to be complete loads of crap, but asking for equal rights is the main idea of feminism, which is reasonable. When they ask for equal rights, that means equal pay. There are women out there who do more work in a job than many of the men in the same line of work, but they receive different levels of pay. On the other hand, yes, there are men who do more work. Either way you could say either side works harder because both are true statements from a narrow view. If you broaden your view, you are trying to make an argument about a majority that you really can't make. There is no basis for that statistic except for personal experience, which is biased. If I'm wrong about that and there is an actual, reliable, unbiased statistic than please send it to me, because I would find it fascinating. If not, all you've done is dance around and make a scene, produce biased false statements, and make a fool of yourself.

+jenny gooley If Erica was 60-years-old and unattractive, would a phony like you still be accepting her free hugs ha Jenny?? What if Erica was an African American female offering free hugs to you?? Would you still accept her free hugs or would you turn them down because she wasn't white enough or attractive enough?? And what if Erica was a man who was offering free hugs?? I bet a hypocrite like you wouldn't want to hug the person had it been a man since there is some sexism and discrimination. Men aren't trusted when it comes to hugs but only women are?? This is a man-hating culture we live in.

+Mrs. Anti Feminazism I'm a man and i would give a hood to a 60 year old unattractive women African American female white asian chinese russian arabian texas horseback riding yeehaw person. A man on the other hand, no, unless he is elderly because im not a gay and dont support it.

Mrs. Anti Feminazism I paid a female stripper at the club for my first and only.dance ever and she was....an African American female. And I hug all of my friends..whether they be attractive, not so much, older, or younger, no matter what race or gender...so I don't know who you are to judge me. I feel like everybody likely needs a hug for something they're going through. & I could almost always use one, too. So, why would I turn a free one down, judgmental Judy?
I LOVE THESE!!! These set-ups are so clearly intented to bash-the-crap out of natural male (and human) attraction to young women. Afterwards, the "surprise" comes when the "revelation" of what has clearly been known throughout human history. Men LOVE 'EM YOUNG (and attractive --- and especially both.)

I think this doesnt really prove that but this video proves that people are more willing to hug a woman than a man because the woman never changed she looked the same just a pair of glasses and a hoodie
I still love this video.
She acts like putting on glasses and putting her hair up makes her ugly haha This is why guys and girls are not equal. Girls get favored because they're weak/fragile. They can't do as much as guys can. Which is basic physiology. That's why when I see a female at a supermarket I'll offer to either reach something or help pick something up etc. I do the same if I see a really old male as well because women and most old men can't do as much as guys younger than 70. Nobody was surprised about this experiment, we all knew that guy wasn't getting any hugs and the girl was getting all of the hugs.

Well I mean, there's a little more to it. In our society there's also a lot of homophobia and touchiness toward showing affection to another man if you're a man, even if you support gay rights. As for women, there's the idea that women feel a little more apprehensive as yes, in general it is taught in our society that men tend to be more capable of physically harming you since biologically they are usually of stronger physiques. Furthermore, our society also conditions girls and women to "play hard to get" and not show their love for another man so as to not be labelled as slutty. This may have also subconsciously affected the women who didn't hug Hussein (a girl hugging another man, even in this setting, can still be considered scandalous in countries where these societal institutions are more blatant). Btw, if you see a man struggling to reach something, you should help him too :). I'm sure he needs it as much as any other woman who can't reach something.

ilinaeternity Men can find ways of doing things. Women can't think far like like men can. What I see at the supermarket, where I work. If a woman can't reach something she'll will stare at it, not come up with anything. Than walk away and find someone. A man on the other hand with figure a way to get it! They'll for example kneel on the bar below, use something from their cart to push it closer to grab, jump up etc. Men will always figure a way out, women aren't as good of a problem solver as men that's a good way to put it. Regardless how or why it happens. Women still get favored and gets everything handed to them. I hear so much "you can't hit girls no matter what!!!" "you gotta help girls lift things" you gotta do this you gotta do that. Than women want equal rights?? Where I work girls only use the cash register, along with some guys like a 70-30 ratio. They're never in the back room. They're never lifting boxes. They're rarely ever packing out. Unless it's shampoo or girly stuff like soaps brushes etc. Than they have all day to pack out one box. They do the easiest jobs in the place and by far the least amount of work. Or they're giving out the meats in the deli. Men are unloading the truck, packing out the aisles, maintenance, shopping cart collector, receiving. When someone says "girls can do anything guys can" I laugh. Obviously they can not. They can't even handle a simple supermarket job. I don't mind treating girls equal, but look at all of what I said. Do they deserve it? Lift a gallon of water and not complain about it. Stop sitting down after every time you put a bar of soap on the shelf. They never even touch the pallet jack. They can't even crush their own cardboard!! You say it's because of our society. I say it's because that's how girls act. They got the helpless, fragile, and weak image going on. It's not society, it's because girls make it that way. If they want to act inferior don't complain when equality isn't met. We all get paid the same there. I mean the longer you worked there the more money you'll make. But instead of recognizing us for our work they recognize seniority. Which is dumb because I should be getting paid more than the girls. Reason is obvious, I do more work. I work harder, I can do everything. It's like two people getting paid the same while one works their ass off while another lays down sleeping.

***** I see it everyday. And it's in every store not just the one I'm in most of the time. I get put in surrounding places that are in my union to help out. It happens everywhere, not just one place. And way more than a couple people. You break it down very simplistic. You lower the scenario by so much. Not a valid response to the facts. I have immense knowledge on biology/psychology/sociology. By your simplistic answer I can you're a kid. Probably trying to troll me, I wouldn't be surprised. Breaking down everything I said in 49 lines into one. Shows how much thought you put into it. Think a little more, it'll go a long way.

You should both stand there and do it together and see who gets more hugs. I'm sure that with a girl nearby people will be more comfortable to hug the dude as they know it's a legit free hug and not some creep.

That kinda defeats the purpose of the experiment, i agree he would likely get more hugs but thats the truth the experiment is setting out, guys are just seen as creeps whereas girls aren't.
This is like, the most anti COVID thing I’ve seen all year
A hoodie makes you dirty or ugly, glasses and brasses do too? I like hoodies on people and maybe the glasses were not "popular" BUT it still does not make you "ugly" or anything.

i love girls that wear hoodies lol. dont see many of them !
I'm gonna be honest here, i wouldn't hug him, but i would hug her. Not being sexist, in fact i'm a guy and just love hugs lol (: However, when a girl does this it really seems cute, but really hate to be honest but hugging a random guy would just make me feel weird.

I’m a teenager and I have no bad intentions. Your saying I’ll automatically be threatening by growing up? Often when helping others it has a way of coming back around for me. So will all my god deeds just be considered a threat in the future?
@UnknownUser-sv3ny

For example when I was in kindergarten it was normal to hold hands. It makes me and the person holding my hand feel safer. Will doing that while crossing a street be threatening or kind hearted hearted as a man?
