    A wonderful and revealing interview, thank you both very much! Frank is clearly what is called "omniscient" in Dzogchen, he knows everything (and no-thing) at any given moment, spontaneously and laser-like. His answer to a certain question/situation might be different at another moment, so will be his ("non-karmic") actions. This is Truth and that´s why it seems that Enlightenment includes all these paradoxes. A paradox is just another concept. And finally the question "Why?" will fall away by itself, too.

    Thank you for feedback! It does make me wonder, is there anything special about 'Frank'? After all, what he so-called knows you know also! I also don't see anything wrong with asking 'Why?' even if we may know the answer as such, as asking something from a genuine place reveals a fresh answer without the knowledge that we may have accumulated. I would also be curious to know what you mean by 'Omniscient' that word has always interested me. It seems to me that the human mind / thought will always be limited, no matter how spiritual / scientific / philosophical / sophisticated it may be.

    @@UnveilingWholenessthank you again, dom, for your interested and interesting reply! frank can be considered "special" in this context here as he obviously had a major shift in consciousness and now "speaks the truth", clearly. which means, he is not talking as a person anymore (most of the time) but as something beyond. this something (which is no-thing but all encompassing) is also beyond time and space, so it speaks the truth "laser-like" = matching exactly each moment. which, again, can lead to seemingly contradictions or paradoxes. of course you or whoever can ask the question "why" in this field of exploration, as often as you like, and, believe me, i have done it countless times on this human journey (a seventy years old german grandmother here) but the need to ask it falls away more and more as you learn to let REALITY be as it is. the answer to "why" can ever only be something created/artificially composed by humans with their admittedly limited knowledge. the point is: we are not simply humans but much more, and all so-called spirituality is about dis-covering this immense potential and the vast knowledge/wisdom that comes with it.

    @@felice9907 Right, but when it comes to the actual direct experience, there is nothing extraordinary about it, it's an ordinary, natural thing. In that regard, there is nothing special about this. I say this, because I feel like Spirituality makes something ordinary into something extraordinary that takes lifetimes to accomplish, when in fact it's the most natural thing there is. Do you see what I am saying?

    yes, i see! it´s the same as in the japanese zen quote: before enlightenment: chop wood, carry water. after enlightenment: chop wood, carry water! the idea of spirituality or religion is to intensify the bond between you and the universe, a bond that is already there, actually, and already INTENSE. but to make you aware of it, this natural (!) process is necessary. after a while awareness takes over and you, as a person with agenda, are finished. it´s all as natural as a plant developing a blossom. ancient scriptures and teachings say that this unbound awareness is only possible for a human being, usually, and therefore a human life is considered a precious chance.

    The answer to the concern Frank has with doing Shadow work BEFORE waking up - that has been solved by IFS. Very speedy method to discovering the Self, depathologizing all parts of the psyche that are called issues and proving the power and love of teh Self that can heal better than any therapeutic relationship. It's then a way of doing the work without effort, reducing trapped/unconcious/sticky contractions and the energy involved in the keeping that stuff locked up and the disowned energy itself. AND from that: more Self availible with each part healed. It's a positive feedback loop from less wasted effort in the body-mind from trapping pain, more energy released, more awake, more conciousness availible so more/easier healing. It's very popular now because it works so well. Even non-pathologizing in psychology is a quantum leap because hating on parts of us that cause problems is so counterproductive or straight up damaging

    So amazing - although words can't tell truth. This conversation comes closest I've ever come across. I have learned : Just get out of the way and effortlessly everything falls into place. Even resistance has to be acknowledged. Being contented how/where existence arranges me and everything related. Do what drives you most and experience the outcome. Being open minded helps not to contract or cling. Regular practice helps to explore conditioning. Yes it helped! Thank you both (being one 😉) for your dedication to the subject and expressing it eloquently.

    this is where pratcice - artful, gentle, smart, intutive, common sense practicing and finding the way that you know inside when you listen to yourself with care and respect. Suffering will show you plenty too - just treat yourself with dignity, understanding and love along the way. IFS is actually the best system so far - coupled with frank's approach - He really is one of if not the best teacher I've come across. Incredible

    that codependant origination thing - ken wilber talks about:"tetra arising". (if i remmeber right) it's because it's not just subject and object - it's a whole bunch of holons, (wholes composed wholes of lesser complexity), holons of internal/external,individual/collective, subject/object - inter/co-relating with all the things at the same time

    A great interview, really, like Frank said, with some quite different questions. Guess this is due to a lesser experience and understanding of the interviewer himself, which brought up more basic subjects, but they are so fundamental to understand and digest before moving next. And even though sometimes Frank would already get into a discussion of some subject and try to go deeper, my respect to the interviewer, who would insist on asking again exactly what he wanted to clarify and in this way would make Frank get down and spend more time and attention for getting a puzzle together. Great job done from both sides, thanks!

    Thank you! May I ask, and I genuinely mean this, what is there to actually know in terms of Spiritual matters? I don't even understand what's a simple vs a complex subject. It puzzles me that there is so much material about Spirituality, yet was is there to actually know? More definitions, terms, philosophies, paradoxes, viewpoints or to find out what's actually true? I say this to open up a discussion, as it was one of the intention's to have these kinds of conversations in the first place. What do you feel?

  • @KaterinaUniversal

    @KaterinaUniversal

    @@UnveilingWholeness sure, your true sincere interest is vivid! So, well, there's to know that much as you have asked, and more than that. A lot to learn and to know intellectually till we get to know it in our own experience and many questions cease or transform to other form of enquiries. To be more specific, I mean, just like you asked, about understanding what is the truth, then figuring out the difference between the conventional and the absolute truth; questions out of lack of rooting into impermanence; about the diversity of teachings; questions about the significance of events in the world and trying to solve them... And what one may ask with some realization from their experience but not yet attained as far as the speaker... Like about states of mind in deep practice, about falls down on the way, triggers and cheating of the mind when it "protests" being cleaned and liberated; the rapidity of the change seen; the feeling of indescribable and unbelievable but such self proclaiming processes and stages, etc... The world of created truths is so vast to experiment, going around in the search of the original truth... I can see you tend to ask same set of questions to different people... and every time comes out something different out of that. I like this interview where the investment from both sides: questions and answers looked genuine and natural, while in some others some tension is felt and/or I wonder how difficult (easy?) it might have been for you to run that interview... Thanks.

    @@KaterinaUniversal Alright, thank you for your thorough reply. You said quite a lot of things here, so naturally it will be difficult to respond to every point via the KZread Comment section haha :), But we can arrange a video call if that's an option to discuss it deeper. First, it was never my intention to interview anyone, but rather to have a genuine dialogue, exchange, so we can see the same thing together. I'm aware that there are many questions that we can ask, but what I am interested in is the question that answers all the other questions. It seems to me that such questions always deal with the root, the essence of things. So I hope you can see why such questions are asked. Perhaps 'Tension' is the right word, I'm not sure, I would say a curiosity more than anything, but in those instances, there's a feeling to say something at that moment, and that's why such questions are asked, but then again it's not to get an answer, but rather to explore something together from that proposed question haha :) What I'm interested in is making things simpler, concise, rather than make into something complicated. After all, if we can speak simply about something, why make it it complicated?

    @@UnveilingWholeness it's OK, you don't have to respond more than that :) I said many things as to avoid empty-wordedness replying to you :) It would be useless to respond vaguely in general phrases, without bringing examples. So, no worries, those aren't my questions - so I am not waiting for you to respond, - those are merely examples given to answer your question :) Good luck in your path and the work you've chosen to do sharing to others, appreciated!

    Very good, actually I feel the best interview in this subjects I ever watched, not that I watch many for the exact opposite reason this one is good. It’s not self centered and trying to find true nature as a person thing, or to the person only. When asked, what about someone who hasn’t access to this knowledge, what if Jesus or Buddha didn’t let a legacy for us to continue from …exactly! There is no need of that, some were already already that literally organically since birth and weren’t conditioned ever, like “myself” here, so then also I needed just one cessation to realize this but even before I would roll my eyes to this because it was obvious and didn’t felt the need to any practice and first time I did one, boom. Though I always meditated a lot. But if so I’m feeling evolving to be a human like I wasn’t able to be before until recently than to be enlightened lol Also Jesus actually wasn’t only teaching about true nature if at all, like Buddha, he was coming from the same (non) space but something higher that isn’t around or about the person , it was of service , it was for the All, a greater Good….for Heaven that is this____ Realization of true nature or self realization path is still a person thing like like the name itself points it. I never felt ressonance to any guru , I never ressonated to beeing a seeker or studying any of it , I had my own enlightened grand mother to pass me all, but one I feel to suggest is Anandamaya.ma It’s the only one I ressonate and her teachings can add to this table :)

    Frank means that the experience of Energy is a more fundamental reality than the direct experience of the thought, a thought is the phenomenological out come of contracted Energy in the head area, regering to 36 min. It’s a bit funny When you say a three year old would just say “thoughts”. But Word are not the point, its about understanding What experiental reality they are pointerns to. I agree that the energetic experience seems to be closer to truth than the conceptual thought reality.

    I notice that many awake teachers refer to the body as a meat suit or body mind or the unit..but also say they experience themselves as open infinite awareness...not contracted. I have attempted to experience this open awareness (on purpose) during mediation. I do this because I want to wake up and think that it somehow will give me an idea of what it may feel like. I have had glimpses of truths but not openness. When I practice feeling open awareness I imagine my physical body as open awareness as well as my mind. Am I doing this incorrectly? Any insight is very appreciated ❤
