I just bought my first wheel the other day. I love how you ply and I would really like to learn that method. I don't have a lazy kate and I'm not sure if I want to make one from a shoebox.

This may sound goofy, but how large of a project can you fit on a single bobbin? I'm really new to fiber crafts (including crochet and knitting) and I don't want to run out of yarn on a blanket or sweater (for example). How do you ensure you spin enough for your project?

+Sarah oh boy. This is definitely not a goofy question! Many many many spinners have debated this! Basically the amount of yarn you need will be noted in the pattern. The amount of fiber you need to get that yardage will depend on how thick of a yarn you spin. The number of bobbins you use will depend on all those things PLUS the size of your bobbin. Giggle. Definitely look up some articles for a better idea. I may make a video on it though!
