If anyone is worried about the high voltage - Just add a couple of big diodes in series with the battery, that should take down the voltage around 0.5V per diode.

I'm not going to do this because I'm not so sure this tx can stand the higher voltage. I used an external voltage regulator to bring he 2s voltage down to 6v.

I just use rechargable AA batteries, I have no problem with that, the AA's seem to last long enough for me between charges, I have Spares to swap when needed, works for me without having another extra lipo to charge.

Your option is perfect! I didn't think about it before, but you are right. A battery indicator will work too, i will be able to see the level of charging in this way. If I use LiPO pack and voltage regulator, i will not be able to control the voltage level and RX will shut down suddenly

If you are using it with a simulator would it work if you also put a usb plug on it? 5v instead of 6v but maybe enough?

To run a 2s lipo/ li-ion pack you have to check the voltage regulators in the flysky fsi6/X. Some regulator can only handle up to 7v before overheating and burning out. A heat sink can prevent this but it is better to change out the voltage regulators with better ones.

No sir. I have not connected wrong. I have been working on electronics for several year so I know what’s up. But it’s Ok. I guess it was the voltage regulator transistor that probably was not good quality or something. But it’s fixed

hello, I liked the post but I think the voltage is high for the radio I have an FS-i6x I'm going to use two 14500 3.7v batteries but I'm going to use a small voltage regulator to lower it to 6v, it's safer! I liked the video the most !! answered some questions, does anyone here have the data sheet for the main board of this radio?
