Foundation Day (18th Dec 19) message to employees from MD & CEO V Vaidyanathan IDFC First Bank

In this video for employees, Mr. V Vaidyanathan, the MD & CEO of the merged bank, IDFC FIRST Bank, former founder and Chairman of Capital First, speaks about the rapid progress made by the bank, and the strong foundation laid by the bank during the last one year. More importantly he highlights to employees some guiding philosophies for the bank including maintaining the highest level of corporate governance, trust, and integrity. Finally he has explained views on genuinely keeping customers’ interest in mind when formulating products, programs, making clear disclosures, selling right, and keeping customers’ interest in mind at all times. In the end he talks about the closing message for employees.

    Sir I am a staff sry I am breaking the hierarchy but following that may take a lot of time. This is the thing we can think of implementing immediately. Can we conduct a campaign of KYB ( Know Your Bank) in which we can Highlight how we are focusing and increasing Retail Base. Our performance as a Bank in last one year has been phenomenal if we look at CASA book, retailers franchise, Transparency in recognition of NPAs (only bank to provide fr VODAFONE IDEA). It shouldn't be like activities we are conducting but like every branch having a Standee or a printed sheet at the time of account opening or distributing pamphlets in news papers or DIGITAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN. We all receive msgs and even people are now talking about KYB. Every bank is focusing on KYC we will be the only bank in India focusing on KYB ( Know Your Bank) and it may give us huge huge good publicity and who knows our social media campaign may become Viral ( Highly possible) People are worried and we will step forward like Mr. Vaidyanathan sir. It may build our brand and increase our reliability.

    For all this reason, and many more, I have a very high respect for Vaidyanathan sir, I really want to see IDFC FIRST BANK, to grow day by day and one day become the top bank of India. The only fear or concern remains is, whether the high ethics or commitment what Vaidyanathan sir pursue is being transmitted to every branch or not, like we seldom see in PSBs, where a very high value and commitment towards customer is advertised, but on ground level, customer are always and always neglected. My belief says, every customer here will be provided quality service and priority, as the bank philosophy is " Always you First" So, wishing all the best to IDFC FIRST Bank, for its great success.

    Number 1 priority customer first, corporate governance first and dont sell anything to customer... All of these are great core values of this organization... Not easy to find in every organization and really difficult to sustain for a long time. All the best for the growth that has to happen in next many many years...     I have opened account in this bank 3 months back,and I am happy with this bank services,and the intrest rate it's giving with belive that this bank will not destroy our hard earned money,I told my friends to open account in this bank ,and 5 account opened by my friends

    Dear sir. I really salute to your clear thinking and putting always customer first. I am a share holder of IDFC FIRST bank for you only. I was very interested to transfer my money from other banks to your bank but the response I got even after filling online form twice and visiting branch at Bhubaneswar, Odisha made me to think is that what your plan at top management is really being transmitted to the junior most branches? Ppl at branch r not that interested to serve customer, they only think that this highest interest rate on savings account will drive customer. Plz look into it.
