And best of all, the car sound and the overall gameplay depth. GT7 has everything on the car upgrades that can be bought with cash, whilst on FM8, you need to grind until even level 30s to unlock even small upgrade on the engines!

Forza sound devs litterally threw a mic inside the engine bay, closed it, recorded, and there you go the LFA sound, totally bypassing the exhausts

Yeah, sun nuclear blast is great, especially when I lose first place because I can't see anything and crash into the fence. Forza needs to decrease lighting if don't want to make players blind.

The difference is still not as much as it was back then. GT5 sounds were literally arcade. FM now you can still tell it’s an LFA

Look at the head and tail light details between the 2 GT7 has it all over Forza The interiors,sound and little details in GT7 like the gauge flashing red when it hits redline and also having a little 'beep' as well just adds to the detail PD put in

forza's LFA while sitting in the driver seat and engine at idle rpm sounds like an outboard motor on a boat

Forza messed up the scenery badly. No matter where I am racing, I always feel it's the USA, every part is the same. Gran Turismo changes scenery elements too. Grass, trees, and tree types. Also, why don't we have Japanese brands on ads in Forza? Billboards have no Japanese brands, Gran Turismo has it. I miss the old Forza 3-4, those had everything. Today Gran Turismo 7 is much better.

What were the devs doing in the 4 years of making? Cars that are blurry, details missing, tracks look the same, night environment is cut off with putting lights everywhere, giving only 20 tracks, half of it USA, and not even all the track length. Where is Nürburgring full? The second most iconic place after Le Mans de La Sarthe. Car numbers are big, but first, a lot of them are copied from Horizon games, second, where are the models from 2022-2023? Heck, with MS prestige we'd get 2024 models too. But no. Most of the cars are 2014-16 and 2018-19. The cars also. It's so understeering I can't get some corners on tracks. Also, why do we need to race on tracks with factory tires? Graphics effects are not the full details next to these, and what hurts me in this, everything is better in an approx 10 years old game than this one. Where are the damages details? Where is the track music? We can say Forza Motorsport is better, but not. No, I'm Not a PS fanboy, but I can't ignore the work and effort in GT7, and the lack of it in new FM. Love both game equally. Forza is very inconsistent. Noon lighting (shown here) looks very flat on car paint. But there are definitely moments when Forza looks better (dusk/dawn, rainy nights)

theres just something about the lighting in gt7 that looks so good

They both did a great job. GT wins in the sound department though. It's a shame Turn10 couldn't get the sound closer to the real thing. It's a really unique engine note. Yamaha were brilliant when they designed that engine.

Forza only wins in terms of the chase camera movement. The rest all goes to GT7; sound, interior cam movement, details, etc.

Gt7 being built for vr puts it ahead, the textures are meant to be looked at even up close, but actually playing it in vr when you just can't in forza is such a game changer, gt7 vr footage almost looks real because of head movements, and if you've actually tried the vr being able to gauge braking zones in what feels to be a 3d environment compared to a 2d screen gives your brain a lot more to work with, it's such a gamechanger.

Casting all bias aside, Forza's sound is more of a generic V10 while GT7's sounds like a recording of the actual car.

I always have the feeling that GT camera is too static, it just need a little bit more bouncing and zooming like Forza, it would add a bit more immersion in the race

Yes, this is adjusted camera setting. By default there is no movement.

At the end of the day you know which one you buying cuz you can only buy one of them unless you play on XBOX/PC and PS5. Most people just play on one console

Anyone gonna mention the track geometry? As you approach t1 in forza the track twists and becomes very cambered and holds that all the way through exit of t2. If you watch real life videos, gt7 seemingly has scanned the track in much higher detail and with far better accuracy.

In Forza it sounded like engine with rod problem.

Forza 7 looks flat compared to GT7. The geometric detail might be slightly better but it doesn't really matter when the overall look of the game is less realistic.

It's incredible to see how much more refinement GT has. Forza looks great, but next to GT it looks flat.

I wouldnt be suprised if that LFA model is recycled from Forza 4

I play both games a ton. From what I've noticed so far: Forza has way better track detail and weather/lighting conditions but GT7 has better interior detail and wheel support feels better. but forza feels way better with a controller. In terms of physics Forza def feels better but GT7 seems to have a slightly better online community.

Forza sounds like a BMW V10 would sound stock, GT7 is closer but could be a little bit louder....you can make it a lil bit louder in the menu i guess - graphics are not even close 😂

The driver seat view in GT7 is miles away better than Forza. Way more realistic.

So I have been jumping back and forth between both games since Forza Motorsport's launch. Comparing different things and feeling each game out. My conclusion right now is both do certain things better than others. But at the end of the day it comes down to this. If you love cars, car culture/history, a better "driving experience" play GT7, it's the game for you. If you enjoy customization from various UI, FOV settings to setting up every facet of a race including renting any car from the start, if you enjoy a better "racing experience" from improved sense of speed to multiple championships to participate in from the start, Forza is the game for you. tldr; play Forza for the racing experience & customization, play GT7 for the driving & car enthusiast style.😅

I don’t know how forza managed to downgrade graphics and sound from FH5. At least the physics is good

No bs. Out of all the videos ive seen this car models look exactly alike. Just tone down the brightness by 1 or 2 on forza and this comparison is equal

classic example.....quality over quantity! Forza dosnt care about fine details, that matter to real car enthusiasts. Example: In GT7 the revlimiter makes a titit....kind of sound when you hit the red region. Like in the rela car. On Forza? Nothing. In GT7 in the the s2000 the speedometer(the digital display) that shows how fast you are going goes up or down totaly uneven. 25km......34km.....44km...52km..and so on. In Forza? Shows it like if you press an adjust button on a watch and the numbers rise up 1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9.9.........an so on. Not to mention the absurd and insane details on the cars that are in GT7! Forza gives a shit on the details. They just want to make the casual crowed happy by saying: We have 600 cars.

There's no contest. GT7 looks cleaner, sounds more accurate, and runs smoother.

GRAN TURISMO 7, regardless with or without Spec II Update, its still miles above Forza Motorsport 8 despite it has slightly fewer cars.

God I hate the lack of front wheel traction in forza. Gt7 takes the cake

And the sound difference. Polyphony works too hard to be second rate.

GT is not a racing game it's car porn. FM is the better racing game imo.

Jesus Christ, FM makes GT7 look and sound last gen! Flat cardboard 2d trees from Cruis N' USA on N64 No damage or dirt accumulation on vehicles. Fake pingball collisions No ray tracing during gameplay Poor lame rain effects limited to only a few tracks Main menu and career that looks like a touch mobile game No voiced career. No racing engineer. Cars look fake when turning. As if the track is moving around the car. Extremely slow with poor sense of speed. Forza simply destroys GT7. It's embarrassing and pitiful. I feel sorry for GT fanboys who need to lie to themselves

Whats up with GT7 cockpit camera movement? Its like a fake driving scene in a movie.😂

Forza has a noise in the sound of the cars that is somewhat standardized, each car has a sound, but in the background you hear an additional sound, it seems like a breath, which all cars have, and in my opinion it breaks the atmosphere.

I noticed that too. It feels like they are making the car exhaust sounds from pieces of audio instead of recording the real car revving and dropping like they used to.
