If it was Italian it would be in the shop 6 out of 7 days. German if BMW would have made sure the windows would not go down after 3 years. I do have a E34 and a E39 estate.

@@toyotahontas9296 You can adjust the shift speed in 7 levels so you can choose between smooth shifting or maximum performance. Shift speed is also adjusted automatically depending on acceleration. When maxed out the shifts are definitely not slow.

When jeremy has said that LFA is the best car ever driven that means LFA is the best car ever made

I used to work at a Lexus dealership as an apprentice it the shop. The owner had ordered one and the guy I was apprenticed to was the only one who was qualified to do the Pre-Delivery Inspection. On a regular vehicle this took a couple hours. On The LFA it took two days. Big wigs from Cali came in to ensure all paperwork was perfect and that the Inspection was completed exactly as detailed in the very long guide. The bottom is nearly completely covered in carbon fiber panels to ensure air passes under with zero buffet spots in the mechanics. 2 piece windshield that costs 15,000, resonant chamber just before the 3 split exhaust tubes, part of the reason for the note of the engine. Yes the amount of engineering that went into this car is insane. Unfortunately I was able to participate in the drive but damn it was quite the two days. And I wish i still had the video of the walk around I did when it was running in the shop. So clean.

Can't beat that V10 sound.

When he said that the people who made it don't know how to make it again... That is a testament to the legend that is the LFA. Truly an engineering Marvel. I wonder if the generations in the future will listen to the howl of the V10 that stole the heart of the world and think of the great time we're living in right now.

And this car is one of the reasons that Lexus/Toyota is my favourite car brand. Just a perfect blend of Japanese technology and madness. Such a pure love of cars aswell. Actually built and designs by car enthusiasts.

I’ve sat in one, there’s a super luxurious car dealership specifically for sports cars in the UK and my step dad was interested in a Nissan GTR at the time so we all went in and the people there were extremely nice and help us take photos and let us get in it (I was about 11-12 at the time) I sat in a ford GT, Rolls Royce Ghost and a LFA (which I think was very new at the time)

It's amazing about how the noise a car make can elevate its worthiness. It may not be as capable or as fast as the R35 GTR, but it surely makes every car enthusiast rewarded.

There's two cars I recall Clarkson surprisingly falling for. The LFA was one of them, and oddly the Ford Mondeo ST200 was the other. He said despite having a pool of far more expensive test cars available at Top Gear, everyone kept grabbing the keys to the Mondeo.

Honestly, this has been my dream car since it's release. The exhaust note is purely orgasmic.

Jeremy's rant when comparing the LFA to the RC F is one of the most eloquent explanations of what makes a car exciting.

When I see "Jeremy Clarkson" in the title of the clip, I automatically switch on. The man that reformatted Top Gear. The man who drew a 350 million viewership. The man who revived Top Gear. The man is excellent.

This is my favorite car as well. You definitely feel the sweat and effort went into perfecting the car. Truly a masterpiece for the human kind. Hope to get to drive it one day.

This car is in my dream 10 car garage. No questions asked.

RIGHT??? Here's the crazy part, the music division of Yamaha (which makes Pianos) worked w/ Toyota/Lexus to develop that sound of the motor.

That is the best exhaust note I've ever heard...plus it's RAPID QUICK...Love it....

Just magical that engine note. Can never tire of it.

I respect this brand a lot. I don't think the LFA as a tech development project lost money. In fact the instrument cluster is used in the F Sport versions

Even the asking price (at its launch) was so much damn insufficient to recoup their money back then. Lexus is basically bleeding money here (despite being a Toyota) and even now, accounting to inflation, they probably haven't recouped their money spent on 5 years of R&D and testing, and another 4 years of starting over again for R&D when they switched to carbon fiber (and heck, it even cost one of their prolific Toyota racer/engineer their life while testing the LFA.)

All the character, all the beauty, all the excellence in engineering, of the LFA is in that V10 engine!

This is genuinely my dream car. I don't care how old it will be when I buy a most likely used one or how outdated it is, I believe that from the design to the sound it makes it is the most beautiful car in the world.

No matter how old it is, it will always be legendary and its value can only appreciate. Just look at the Toyota 2000 GT, the value is getting more and more expensive. The LFA will be just the same or even better in value. Well I must be happy with the Autoart 1:18 LFA model, since the real one will be forever out of my reach. 🤣

Literally one of the best sounding car in the world alongside the Murcielago. It's just majestic.

It seems all these car manufacturers have their genius moments at some point in their existence. I would love to see a documentary of each brands pinnacle of engineering genius.

Jeremy: I don't understand this car! *Proceeds to fall in love with it*

Because every car maker is climbing into the electric bandwagon, I have a bad feeling that probably we won´t hear again any vehicle that makes such an epic noise as the LFA.

Yep, they've just announced they're making an electric "lfa"

Jeremy is born to do car journalism and he does that. Very few people find that spot.

I love how Jeremy describes the lfa as a 'sad animal'. I would assume that he is implying that it's under constant suffering. I reckon it sounds like a wolf that howls a really high pitch. It sounds like the r8 gt from horizon one at 6000rpm and that is the best thing about it.

Of all the cars released in my lifetime, this is the one I wanted most, perhaps tied with the 2000 NSX.

It will also be one of the most reliable cars he's ever driven.

After watching this video,im grateful to be alive since i hear lexus lfa engine sound which is underrated supercar since 2010 and now several people are realize and regret underestimate this car after they watching this video.

How can you hate it? This thing is a marvel of engineering.

The engineers that made this car genuinely had a passion for creating something perfect

It’s one of those cars that seems to be more than the sum of its parts, you can hear the passion and dedication they put into it every time you hit the gas pedal.

He’s hard to impress and even with all its flaws I will say in my opinion it has one of the best sounding car engines I’ve ever heard.

Clarkson to the world : this is the best car I've ever driven. Lexus to all other car manufacturers : we won.

The LFA is the closest thing you car guys can get to understanding what us motorcycle riders feel when we ride. Granted, Yamaha helped build the v10 so of course they’re going to make the heart of the car an unbelievably sentient motor. It sounds like the first Gen R1s almost the way it falls down in the gears and then picks right back up again

Like the F40 its just another one off car that cant be ever forgotten

The Vanquish and the LFA are both such timeless, naturally aspirated classics

McLaren F1 ? Veyron ? I think those two are more likely to be pinnacles of engineering of their times than a supercars that only is different because of how insanely good it sounds

@@tungabunga4107 thats out of the subject. We get it, you can’t recognize that something you don’t like is good. The Veyron is a revolution, the LFA isn’t. That’s a fact that you can’t deny.

Ive watched the documentary of how lexus build this LFA. They collaborate with yamaha to tune the sound of the engine. That is why it sounds so good. Plus they channel some of the raw engine sound into the cockpit so that the driving experience become more amazing. Its mindblowing

This Lexus LFA is sooo good.

Whoever rendered all these moments is a legend

All these years on it is still one of the best cars ever made
