I want to point out that I wasn't happy with this edit. I encountered a lot of problems, and I was pressed for time, especially with overtime, Christmas, and the kids, etc. I also didn't save 3 hours of work on the video before I closed my computer off last night, hahah, that really frustrated me! The video quality is okay, but the commentary and editing were a little messy this time around. I felt no passion in the end result, so I'm sorry for that. My next video will be more grounded. Today, I am building my channel and editing from the 'ground up,' and I'm changing the way I approach this. I'm no longer going to respond to every Fanboy/Hate; I feel that trying to justify things all the time is just a waste of my energy. I will continue with banter and occasional playful jabs, and of course, I will address and respond to significant media outlets! My heart was not in this video; maybe it was the frustration. Nevertheless, I did not want to scrap it, and it shows that we sometimes have bad days. It's a stepping stone in trying to get better!

The GT350 R has a rear seat delete package which is what the GT7 model had along with no Infotainment with the shield cover option covering the missing info system.

The Connor McGregor Fake Out was prime. We need more people who call out the hate and BS surrounding GT7. Even when it comes from the GT community. I constantly see the “community” ripping the game down for what has become nothing more than clout chasing for views, and I honestly feel bad for PD having delivered a A+ product in a reasonable time frame to have nearly everything they do be met with negativity. Like who the F is doing it better…

Yeah suddenly I see people bashing GT7 on r/builtfromthegroundup too, and that latest article with Kazunori Yamauchi on GTPlanet has 3 pages of spitting at the game and Kaz, like, what the hell happened in the last few days that GT7 is the satan again? Is this another nostalgiatard moment when we have to praise the current game's 20 year old predecessor because when I was 6 playing that game I completely overlooked its flaws despite they were obvious? I have never played a GT title, and I really am a Forza fanboy since Forza Motorsport 3 on the Xbox 360, I have played all the titles since then (including Horizon). The point is that for a few years now I have been envying (in a good way) the GT titles, because since their inception it has been seen that these guys from Polyphony are masters in attention to detail, both with the cars and with the competition and the world of motorsport, but my god... with GT7 they broke all expectations in terms of attention to detail, you can really see the love they put into each of the cars and settings in the title and I have only been able to admire it from KZread, I can't imagine how it looks on my 4K monitor. On the contrary, Forza, its peak was on FM4 and from there it deteriorated to the incomplete and soulless garbage that we have today. And don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed FM 5, 6 and 7 but you can clearly notice the lack of personality, soul and affection that these titles used to show in their beginnings. Kudos for people who have a PS5 and can enjoy this gem of a video game, I really envy you haha. And for the toxic fanboys who only speak without foundation, think about this, I am critical of Forza Motorsport because it is a title THAT I LOVE, I grew up with it, I have spent hours and hours watching my favorite cars on my favorite console, if I say this it is because I am tired of mediocrity and that these multi-million dollar companies mock us in our faces and give us misery... remember, we are the ones who are really behind the wheel, we set the standard and we know where we want it.

Fully agree with you. I'm a fan since the very first Forza and still have all Forza Motorsport & Horizon iterations stored in a drawer. FM4 has been awesome indeed. I used to own a PS3 when that thing was new and played a decent amount of GT back then. Played GT7 at a friend's place too. This got me really excited to see how well FM8 would look. As AutomotiveVP points out through these comparisons, it's quite a deception as a long time Forza fan. Meanwhile, I quite enjoy racing in the new Forza. I like the addition of Hockenheim and I can't wait for the Nordschleife next spring. I like the strategies you can play around with in Featured multiplayer. I'm bummed that force feedback doesn't work that great on wheels. Assetto Corsa is leagues ahead in that regard.

I hope you get the opportunity to explore GT7 on a PS5. It really is an extraordinarily pretty game, but the physics feel pretty good, too (I may get attacked for saying this, but I just refer those people to the recent video from Random Callsign). I've been a GT player since the very first one in 1998, and have stuck with Sony and the series ever since, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't extremely jealous of Forza's car roster. As an Australian player, the list of Australian muscle and race cars has me salivating. If you do get a chance to play GT7, take it. If you're able to borrow a friend's PS5, it is absolutely worth it to invest time in just going through the car range to see how beautifully each vehicle is modelled. My personal favourites are the Subaru Impreza 22B and R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R Nismo - Polyphony absolutely nailed those two.

⁠@@n.r.c.wthat is true and I think the only thing that is keeping Forza Motorsport alive is the multiplayer, the little love that was put into it is there. And it really is incredible because there had never been anything like this with Forza before and I had been waiting for years for them to do something similar to what GT Sport did at the time. Obviously it's not perfect, like everything else, it's the lack of detail that really bothers me, you still can't save replays and the fact that they are only at 30 fps and with a quality lower than what the game actually runs is a joke, matchmaking sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't, you can't know the driver's license or rank of your opponents, I mean, you can't even put your flag next to your gamertag, and I know it may sound stupid but it's this kind of thing those that make a video game great. If they had labeled this release as a beta, no one would have to be so critical of them, but we all know perfectly well what they did.

⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠@@ajrichar0 I would be lying to you if I told you that I have not thought about buying a PS5 exclusively to play GT7 haha, and really bro, I have seen everything you mention in videos and reviews of the game and it looks totally incredible, even the replay mode which is definitely the best on the market, it is almost as if you saw it IRL. And you should also try some Forza title, leaving aside which is better (which obviously each one has its good and bad points) Forza is a very good title, especially Horizon, which has done things well lately thanks to the people at Playground who have heard its community, I would tell you to try FH 3 which is specifically in Australia but is no longer for sale, but FH 5 also has many Australian cars and thematically and graphically it also looks beautiful wherever you see it!

GT7 hands down.

I plan to do better next time with my video rebuild, and I'll pay more attention to camera control, perhaps adding a cinematic touch. I'll definitely incorporate it into all my videos from now on. Do you think I should continue speeding up segments like I did when viewing cars, to keep the videos from becoming too long?

I've been an Xbox guy since early 2000s. Forza has been my go to racing game. There's no denying Gran Turismo obliterates Forza this time around. Nothing else to say.

I would argue even the PS4 version of GT7, with the absence of the VR Showroom and VR mode in its entirety, would look better than Forza. I play GT7 on my bog standard ps4, not a pro or a slim or anything, and the detailing is phenomenal. Forza has great models on some of their cars, make no mistake, but Gran Turismo just takes the cake. Since they first introduced fully detailed, premium cars back on GT5 they have slowly perfected this art as the next titles came and went. GT6, GT Sport, and now GT7. They truly mastered it. Forza needs a little wake up call if they really want to "build from the ground up". GT7 is what "building from the ground up" looks like, car model wise. They take ancient car models that were first introduced in a near 20 year old title, that never saw updates to its detailing or interior, and completely rebuilt it with immaculate detailing. The Nissan 400R and the Mercedes 190E are but two examples of their work really paying off based on the cars going from basic detailing and solid exteriors with zero interior detailing to what they are now. Polyphony has really mastered their craft through Gran Turismo's evolution from PS3 all the way to PS4 and 5

GT7 has expanded it and has all the tuning and customization features added back as well as other features, both classic and new, that GTS didnt include and were last present on GT6 now 2 generations ago. My neighbor owns a 2017 Mustang GT350, we just watched this video and compared GT's and Forza's version to his real version witch happens to be the same blue. GT's version is a more accurate version of the real car, from the details to the overall body shape. My neighbor has never played a modern racing game and he agrees.

I was about to say This Forza model looks much better than others, but then I realized with the grill, and this is something John for DF pointed out in his GTSport vs FM7 comparisons, Forzas car models like that grill of the mustang, look like 3D cad renders. This was doublely apparent in your BAC mono comparison with the suspension and and things being rendered perfectly on GT7 but very blocky and out of place in FM2023. So yes GT has god like modeling skills that puts every other car game to shame...well do better, problem solved. Great comparison bro as usual. I think I'll wait til FM9 comes out to see if that will look any better, or just gamey effects.

However, I might check it out and see if they were chatting a load of BS there too. I feel like a newbie to this community, to be honest, ahaha. I also feel like the car in this comparison feels squashed up on Forza, but I'm not sure if that's the FOV (field of view) Forza offers in-game when I do the 360 camera spin. Also, at 0:33 in the video, Forza's car looks like it's from Crackdown 🤣. The whole point of me doing these comparisons was to show people the truth that was getting covered by fake videos. I feel like it's just the console war as a whole. I've never really encountered fanboys or hate; I have just always replied to them when they would say things online like 'Forza is better,' 'Forza is this' on my VP (Virtual Photography) work. So, I started responding. I thought, you know what, I will make the videos to respond with, and nothing more can be said. And now I know what people mean about the fanboy community; I get attacked non-stop now, hahaha. It's like, how do you even defend Forza in this state? The company behind it can spend Sony's net worth without even noticing, so don't give them any credit for this poor game! A lot of people don't know the history of GT, Kaz, and why it's so freaking good, and why the team behind it is so talented; it's just unmatched. I'm ranting again, hahahah. I mean, if you have an Xbox Series X or a PC, I would say it's worth the subscription to Game Pass to give Forza a try. I bought it before it came out and felt like I was mugged. At 1:08 I thought you put a real car in the game GT looked that good. Haters gonna hate for sure. There's this indie dev, I think the game is called drift masters. I haven't bought the game, but from what I could see from gameplay those models looks pretty good. It may still be free/early access maybe compare it to that or something. It may be true that Forza fans are vocal on the Forza forum, but man they need to get that messaging out to the public. Come to these comment sections and tell the truth. My comment about Forza fans being in denial wasn't about them personally having a problem but the game itself. Being vocal is through comments and videos at the same time with your wallets. The devs will hear you loud and clear.

Forza looks like were still looking at a game from 2018, not 2023. which is where Polyphony really shines. Always making their game look as photo realistic as possible with some of the best physics to boot (as far as consoles go anyways) Forza just wants money. I think this is why my heart wasn't into this video as much. I realize I tend to repeat the same things constantly. I mainly do this for new viewers who are just discovering my content, as I thought it might be a good strategy. However, I noticed that it might not be as appealing to returning viewers. I'm new to all this, and I find it challenging to speak in my videos, especially the car comparisons, because I can't say much more while staying on topic. I'm sorry about that, and in my next video, I will try to improve this aspect. Perhaps I should delve into more detail about the cars, like their history or something else. I consider myself a part of the active users that are frustrated and writing it out in online spaces, so I agree with all of your points. I like the format and appreciate you sacrificing the time to bring to light the frustrations we've been dealing with for years. There's really no way to counter what are mostly "objective" visual comparison points. I'm frustrated with the visuals and think the efforts T10 put here reflect their efforts with the rest of the game: just a total lack of direction and resolve leading to a mediocre and unfinished product. But even thought I could write about this stuff on end, I couldn't do what you do and narrate a 10 minute video without mixing up my words or thoughts.

I did not think it was sarcasm, especially considering your last comment on the Ferrari video. The last part of your comments seemed genuine. I'm just making sure haha. I share the same frustration as you can see. I'm not sure how people are even defending it, and that adds to the frustration as well. I literally feel no love, no passion, or anything in the game, and it's been like that since FM4 in my opinion. I don't get why. How can you not have the talent or resources with the huge empire you are? Why did you talk so much in the marketing and get away with it? This is what money does; money talks, and BS walks. They ruined my whole Forza hype on the same day it came out, and it's insulting to claim this to be the best next-gen car game. As a car gamer, car games are niche, and when a new one comes out, I'm so happy. I buy them without any question because we are starved for them a lot of times. Forza ticked all those boxes before it came out: a new track game, and it's Forza. I have never felt so robbed and gutted in my life. I wanted it to beat GT, not because I want GT to fail, but because I thought, 'Wow, this will be so good.' As I stated in my other video, nothing about this game feels genuine. It's like they just made it for the sake of it. The team was just employees finishing a task, whereas GT feels like it was built with love, heart, and soul, trying to prove a point. We could rant on about all the bad parts, I agree. As for my commentary, thanks, mate. I have only just started adding them to my videos, and it's hard to think back to what I've already said. the entire front end of the GT350R in Forza is stretched to fit the headlights which are placed too high, for that reason alone FM is not the winner here

Some of the Forza details are superb, and yet, in other parts looks extremely blocky. I'm mystified. Geez, my man, the VR Showroom of the Shelby, in GT7, is amazing. I have VR2 as well, but even on a (good) laptop screen, the detail just hits you in the face. Well done.

When FM came out I was very disappointed, best way to describe GT vs FM is like a oil painting sometimes they go back 3-5 times adding more detail GT went back 5 times while FM went back 2 times to add more detail.

That looks eerily real.

I've been a hardcore Forza fan since Motor Sport 2. I played Motorsport since launch and it's truly a disappointment. Just picked up a PS5 for GT7 and I'll touch Motorsport again. You can feel that the devs making GT7 put their heart and soul into the game. The game has a personality. It has a unique feel. And you can tell that there's a true love for the cars and car culture. Forza at this point just feels like an empty shell.

I feel like forza is still playing with its tech with Xbox. There are moments in Motorsport that is just mind blowing. Have not played GT 7 however it appears to be way more polished. I am looking forward to seeing what these consoles push out in the later years .

The thing is, if turn 10 wanted to, they COULD match or even surpass GT with car models. They just can’t be bothered to put the effort in to it…

Yes the GT350R has a larger wing, front spliter, no radio, red cobra badges and a seat delete over the standard GT350

Digital Foundry made a reaction video to their GT V Forza comparison, & they even pointed out that they were holding back their opinion so their findings wouldn't be weaponized as ammo to be used against X-Bots The other member even correctly pointed out that he should've been more blunt, with the it being said that he wasn't as blunt was because he didn't want the toxicity of how different people have different preferences for games, but it was also mentioned that such a game has a ground truth rather than artistic preference. Ground Truth being reality, & GT is simply closer to the ground truth because of simply looking closer to reality(as in the real places & things), it's just more accurate at most things most of the time, whilst Forza is always in a random pine forest & textures are rough estimations rather than bespoke most of the time I feel like they should've spared no feelings in their comparison, but I also understand their angle, since they also have to keep Microsoft happy to preserve the behind the scenes access allowed to them

Damn that model is amazing I must say. I've been playing Forza all week and the car models aren't as intricate as this. Are the engines modelled in gt7? As per Forza?

"Unfortunately, GT doesn't offer this feature. Only the cars that allow you to see the engines from the exteriors have it. So, do you prefer the engine views or the accurate cars in VR thats the choice you would need to make.

I suspect that Turn10 bit off a bit more than they could chew modelling the engine bays for "most" of the cars. As cool as it is the exterior car models seem to have suffered a bit... The time and resources they would have needed to do this would've been enormous. That said it still is really cool being able to take a look under the hood. They've done a great job. Turismo is just next level.

I guess the paint shader is better on GT7 but the paint texture seems more realistic in Forza. Free to disagree but paint on my cars isn't glass perfect, it almost has a flake texture from factory. Then again could just be on cheaper cars, no idea how the paint texture is on the GT350R

GT is a generation ahead.

Forza does a good job of showing orange peel effect in the paint, that's it while the paint in GT is glassy smooth. I don't look at it closely, but it seems like it's the same level of texture across everything, and it's just too much. My Honda Accord has less orange peel look to it than many of these much higher quality, expensive cars.

Digital Foundry is lying on this particular graphics comparison. Sad, because they have a decent track record. New Forza Motorsport is ugly and a downgrade from older Forza titles. Do NOT even think about comparing it to GT7 on PS5! GT7 is the all time best car graphics EVER. Just stop.

It's painful to see edges and character lines that has zero bavel. Do understand some has to be cut for performance in forza, but at least dish out a higher poly count model in display mode. (Only thing I can agree on regarding to this GT350 in forza is the headlights, which is actually good.) PS: when modders started export GT's model years ago for game mod instead of forza's , the reason's pretty simple: higher poly count, more details XD

Every time you show GT7 it looks like a photo professionally taken and edited. When you show Forza it looks like an iPhone photo, which weirdly makes it look more real when seeing though a video. Does that make sense?

I've been a long time Forza fan since the first one on the OG XBox. And I hate to say it but Forza Motorsport 7 looked better than the new Motorsport. But I'll honestly agree that Gran Turismo 7 has the new Forza Motorsport beat in a graphics comparison. I have a pretty beefy custom built gaming PC and with all the settings to the max on Forza Motorsport, it still doesn't look anywhere near as good as GT7 does.

Yeah I don’t know what they were thinking with Motorsport, I’ve played it maybe 5 times so far since launch and I can’t get hooked, the visuals are horrible, I’m sticking to Horizon 5 as long as it is has updates, at least it looks good.

Gran Turismo 7 is far superior in the graphic department, it looks much more accurate and realistic

The Forza team needs to learn dont play with the players who enjoys good games they kew and ruin it with lies ..

I suggest you go and look into both Dev teams and compare what each has at their disposal when it comes to modeling cars, Polyphony literally has 'cleanrooms' (Laboratories) at their disposal.

Loss me immediately with the camera pan. If this is forza running on a 4090, then you are cpu bottlenecked my friend, The PS5 camera pan is buttery smooth but the forza camera pan is jittery and that immediately discredits the entire comparison from being fairly. Also, the textures on the road does not look blurry like that running forza on a high end PC. This is not a fair comparison. It gives the impression that you are going out of your way to make GT7 look better. Granted, it may look better than the console version but cannot compare to the pc forza running maxed out, no upscaling.. just a native Dlaa anti aliasing image. Until folks have seen what that looks like.. they are not getting the total fair picture here.

This is on the Xbox Series X, mate. How many times do you guys say PC is better when there's hardly a difference at all? Yes, the road looks so bad in Forza. Why don't you disprove me with your own screenshots of the racing line and starting grid boxes that the cars sit in? The track is spa. Do this, and I will use your footage in the next video. @@AutomotiveVP no rage my friend, Infact.. I think GT7 is the better game overall. But if your going to compare visuals, compare forza at its best. If you think the series x doesn’t look much different than the PC version maxed out.. than I’m going to assume you don’t have a 4090 or a high end pc and have never seen this game maxed out. The difference is huge. Also, why is the series x version stuttering in the camera pan? Do you think that is fair? Or you really didn’t notice that the camera pan is silky smooth for the ps5 and not the series x? Also, Do you know what Dlaa on a high end pc does to the native resolution of an image? It’s amazing. Gt7 on Ps5 is blurry by comparison, You should check it out. I do enjoy your content by the way. .. I just disagree with you here. And if your trying to come across and non biased you are doing a terrible job because your passion and obsession for gt7 and PS5 is very obvious lol. But again, I do agree gt7 is the better game overall. Just can’t compare to a maxed out dlaa native high end pc image of forza is all I’m saying.

​@@riecksmoov Dawg, I think that's a terrible point. It can look better on PC than it does on consoles, but shit, it's a comparison of two games, both of which are *running on console*. This is literally as fair as it gets, and the fact is, Forza's doing a worse job in its respective console (which is basically abt the same as the PS5) than GT7 is. Of course it'll look better on something like a 4090-- IT'S THE 4090, IT HAS TO 😭 Regardless of what u say, matter of fact is that gran turismo is doing much better than forza in terms of visuals, especially regarding vehicle detail and consistency of the visuals, in their respective consoles, which is about as equal of a playing ground as you can get

@@eikeshu we agree to disagree.. when GT7 comes to PC (and it will) that will be the version being compared to other racing games because it will be the best representation of what GT7 looks like. So that goes for forza right now. How do you compare games when your taking the worst looking version as an example when you know there is a version of this same exact game that looks 1000 times better? Makes no sense. Now.. I will say, that when gt7 hits pc, it will most likely be the best looking game at that time. But as for now. We can’t just pretend there isn’t a maxed out PC version of forza lol

The one thing I'd give Forza the win on is the ability to open the doors, bonnet and boot - with full engine detailing. Fair play - thats pretty damn good.

why don't you send these videos to turn10, so maybe they will be ashamed of what they made us believe graphically, since I'm not saying it's bad, but compared to Forza Motorsport 7 it's not that great.

When GT has real-time ray tracing, you should compare them

I believe forza has a better deformation when crashing or after crashes because of the car modeling. All game devs lie & I do mean all. But gt dropped the ball so many times on about 3 of em. Forza has 2. Soo tit for tat. Their 80-90 yiu pick makes no diff,both are good

GT is just graphics. FM is complete game with track visuals better, car damage, physics of the car, new tyre model, setup (just think in GT you cannot neither change tyre pressure), more car licenses, ..

IGN released a video “most next gen games of 2023.” On it the host said Forza looks better than Gran Turismo. I can’t with these blatant lies. These vehicle comparison shots look an entire generation apart.

You biased automotive and its clear stop using the crappy pc version of forza and compare the series x version of forza my motorsport looks way better and i can tell coz i watch your videos on the xbox and your videos always make it look like gt7 is the best in ever single thing but forza is better at many things and gt7 some things stop being biased and be honest

@AutomotiveVP ok will do But why not upload videos of both games in hdr Exactly my point forza motorsport on pc looks like dog food compared to the series x and another thing..why I'm saying you biased..it's because yes gt7 has better car models or pain layers on a track but that has nothing to do with gameplay the gameplay on forza is way better than gt7 but tall never talk about that all tall speak about when comparing the 2 is car models come on my guy that's getting old compare gameplay then forza would look way better

​@nicog4638 Gameplay comparisons are highly subjective. So no one can adequately compare gameplay/physics without having driven said vehicles in real life in identical conditions. Any video attempting to do so is purely the creators own opinion. Your opinion is forza is better. That's fine, enjoy your choice. But any rational person should be able to respect others opinions that GT7 is better, instead of getting upset about it. Opinions on gameplay also heavily depend on what you aim to get out of your chosen game. These videos clearly focus on graphical comparisons. They work because forza advertised and sold their game on the premise it will be the most ground breaking, built from the ground up game ever. But they lied.....clearly. Which is why many who prefer forza hate these videos. No one ever wants to admit they fell for the sales pitch. Merry Christmas.

@Brocky05 I just recently switched to a xbox from a ps5 I have played gt7 I watch gt7 video on my xbox in hdr and still the only good thing in gt7 is the car models and the physics are not as realistic as you think...if they are then explain how every single car even without slicks feels like you driving on ice when it's raining..also another thing when they said built from the ground up they weren't talking about gt7 they were speaking about motorsport 7 and I can see a big difference in graphics and gt7 is out for a year now and when it also released people had tons of issues with it so they gave it a years worth of updates and fixed the graphics and the physics but still it isn't about liking one game more it's about talking the truth you guys make it seem like gt7 is the perfect just game because they have good car models..another thing that makes forza more realistic is that when you turn you can see the weight of the car transfer to the other side like real life while in gt7 all cars feel the same abd just stick to the ground unless it's raining...merry Christmas to you too

While I admit gt car models look better and the marketing for Forza pisses me off, I would add that Forza models full engine bays and perhaps the outside of the cars look worse because they deform in an arguably better crash model.
