What would you say about a person who allowed the prosecution of many innocent people when knowing from what they'd been told the prosecutions were unsafe, relying on a dysfunctional computer system that she knew to be dysfunctional. We are now more than twenty years on. Will anyone be prosecuted for knowing this? It looks not. Is there anything clearer?

You cannot say sorry for what you have done. All of you Post Office executives knew the truth and you hid it while people suffered injustice and persecution for years on end. You should all be convicted and jailed for what you have done. "Sorry" is simply not good enough.

An apology is an admission of guilt. The thing is, even though people have lost their lives because of this, if a court finds post office execs guilty of offences will they face jail time? I very much doubt it, there is a hierarchy of punishment in this country depending upon your social status. If there are fines, well then the customers of the fined company will have to pay for it. They may get fired but that will take the form of well renumerated gardening leave until head hunted by another business who will be pleased to welcome them as proven ruthless bastards. They lead a charmed life, protected by judges.

It's been delicious watching the lawyers help her to trip herself up. Look forward to the day when she's in a court of law facing criminal proceedings.

The main thing she should be apologising for is being totally incompetent and overseeing a totally incompetent, investigative, legal and prosecutorial group of people who no doubt popped the champagne after each conviction.

If anybody that the Post Office prosecuted during her time were to say they were "truly sorry" it would have made no difference to that persons situation despite their being innocent. Senior management always think they are untouchable and that everything they do/did was for some "greater good" but the "greater good" is always their pockets and their careers. Angela van den Bogerd has not suffered any hardship unlike the people prosecuted underneath her chain of command. Angela van den Bogerd is far too self absorbed to be sorry let alone "truly sorry". This inquiry must result in criminal investigations and charges because Angela cannot be "truly sorry" when innocent people have committed suicide, been imprisoned and suffered long-term hardship because of her actions or lack of action at the Post Office.

But not so sorry she's going to do anything to make amends to the people whose lives she destroyed. Is she going to meet them personally? Is she going to make it up to them financially?
