Violence against spouses is always a slap on the wrist. He could have killed her and he probably didn’t even spend a night in jail. What kind of man viscously beats their wife and mother of their children like that?

I would also say he is also responsible for the death of Louwana Miller who is Amanda Berry's mom. She died only 3 years after Amanda was kidnapped because her heart was broken because of it. She lost almost all hope after that physic Sylvia Browne said Amanda is dead on the Montel Williams show. But that wouldn't have happened if Castro didn't kidnapped Amanda in the first place.

I'm currently listening to an audio-book about this case. It details a lot about Castro's life, including his familial and sexual relationships and how he was a complete psycho and general shithead. I have just been listening to a part about a court case which involved accusations against the man who his common law wife left him for. It seems that he was extremely controlling and managed to get 2 of his daughters to testify against their stepdad that he sexually abused them. (He apparently bought them loads of expensive crap like iPhones and promised them cars when they were 18 if they complied - his son testified against him however: Good man!) The allegations against the stepdad seem a bit 'projectiony' to me as he turned out to be a big weirdo about his daughters getting their periods and asked them if that was what was really happening or had "someone stuck a finger in your vagina?" Ugggghhh, creeeep... I wonder if he molested either of them, especially when you consider that one of his daughters was best friends with Gina DeJesus and they were around the same age. Anyway, if I understood correctly, Castro somehow managed to walk away with a clean record after this court case even though he'd clearly had form in the past what with battering the poor woman mentioned here as well as kidnapping his OWN kids. Terrifying that he was anywhere near a school, never mind a school bus! This monster should have been put away long before all of this was allowed to happen.

We lived across the street from the family. My mom would say he was evil.

The system failed the kidnapped girls, he should have been charged and jailed for what he did to his wife!

From what I read in Amanda & Gina's book, at Nilda's funeral all the male family members wanted to gang up on him & take turns beating the hell out of him for what he did. They managed to control their tempers for the sake of Nilda's children. I bet they later looked back & wishing they went on & given him a good beat down.

@Starlight. OMG; I don't know if you ever seen that movie "Bastard Out of Carolina" it's about a little girl being physically abused by her stepdad. Anyway, there was a scene in that where the little girl was at a relative's funeral which cuts & bruises from the beating. After one of the relatives seen the marks on her, the group of male relatives have that stepdad good beat down, just look up the movie scenes in youtube. It's a shame that Nilda's male relatives didn't do the same thing but I'm sure they look back & regret it

I thought of that facial resemblance as well. Michelle is only 4.07 was was 160 pounds at the time she was abducted. Watch the video Michelle before abduction on yt. Did you know Michelle lived on Walton Ave, only a street away from Seymour.Thats how he knew her. She was not a friend of Emily though,who is 7 years younger or any of his daughters. Her book is not truthful at all. He picked her up at the family dollar, very nearby, on W 65th and Clarkson. On the 22nd August 2002. Her mother reported her missing the next day,the 23rd.

The woman waited too long to leave. She should have left after the 2st hit punch or shove. True love never hurts, tries to control/,possess , threaten harm of any sort. No man has any right to hit his woman. Only in self defense. And that's a very thin line. Until women learn this there'll be deaths of women. There's alot of men out there who haven't learned true love if their women. Parents are failing to teach. All's I can say is any man who hits his woman out of anger, jealousy, or any rage is not a man. And women need to leave this man. It will only get worse. Cuz the apologies are good for nothing. Beautiful post! I speak Italian. I just read your post and could understand most of it even though it is in Spanish. It's amazing how close Spanish is to Italian these words are the same in Italian and Spanish: (triste, muerte, trono, lo perdona, tierra, pero, cielo). Some of the words sound the same but are spelled a little different but easily to recognize: Dios (Dio), comprendan (comprendare), la veda (la vita), personas (persone), todo (tutto).
