    Great men of science, where truth and the wellbeing of society is greater than profit to them. I would have loved to see Dr Dean Ornish amongst this group. Thank you so very much for this wonderful video. It was very much appreciated .

    It was both easy and difficult getting involved in whole plant foods as a young woman in the 90's. Easy because I saw the benefits in my own body, but difficult because of the negative verbal influence of family members. In my 30's, I started to find my niche in California with the cornucopia of restaurants offering beautiful whole food. Finding social acceptance was a wonderful experience as well. Thank you FOK for such a masterpiece of a film that has been a wonderful help to bring so many excellent health!

    Have you ever seen what they feed people in the hospital? My dad had heart surgery and the first meal with bacon and eggs. OMG

    Yep, you are absolutely right. I am appalled at what patients are given to eat in hospitals. A lot of what is served to the sick are also processed "foods "out of packets and boxes and cans. Lord only knows how long ago they were frozen packaged and stored as well. The doctors themselves are having their lunch breaks and coming back with Mac Donalds burgers nuggets and fries to eat . They have not got a clue. When you try and talk to them about nutrition and plant based eating, they look at you, like you are some kind of nut. My husband has cancer and when I asked them about a radical change in diet , I was basically told "diet makes no difference " and that he can eat whatever he wants. Long story short......I radically changed his diet , and after just one month his pains have diminished considerably, and he is feeling and looking so much better, and that's what we are going to keep doing. Fresh home cooked, .....and whole food plant-based foods. Thank you so much for your comment it was very pertinent. Oh, a final comment, I'm sorry if you might be a little confused I am a wife and mother writing on my husbands account at the moment . Cheers , you have a lovely day.

    a truly inspiring podcast when you have TC, Cal Es and wife and son, Neal et al in the same space; that is a big coup; well done; knowing most of the panel, you have to be hungry to make a moment like this happen; as i write there are only three other comments in the comment section here, which is not a little surprising considering the lofty minds in this cast; the reason i point that out is that you must never lose heart over numbers, because this particular podcast will undoubtedly rise in views. in this sense the podcast is a historical document; knowing the sincerity and tenacity of the panelists personally i would keep at them to do followup with new questions, searching other elements in their singular areas of expertise; eg forecasting where medical (mal)practice will be in 5, 10, 20... years going forward. Dig out the inner nuggets that are seated deep within these luminaries. Cal's regime is probably the ideal albeit the most challenging of all WFPB diets but that is because it is the gold standard; his results speak for themselves; but as Cal says, TC 'taught the world how to eat right,' right! so within that spectrum of both the best evidence factually and clinically, you see the perspective across two curves, the medical model curve, and the best evidence curve, and i know what side of the curve i want to be on; doctors in the future will be litigated if they don't wake up to this, because that is the way the ground swell eventually moves in the game of medicine; why didnt you tell me this doc? ignorance is no excuse; both forks and plantpure will go down as the game changing point of no return; it is just now a matter of time and telegraphing the truth until its time has fully arrived, which it has already, its just that the last ones to find out will be the stone wallers in money, medicine, media, and vested interests, the ones with the most to lose. But if the message is given right, the penny drops before you can even know what has hit you and the old game is over. If you can unite a panel of such luminaries as this, then you can surely throw another panel of difference blends of talent to make it ongoing, eg a chef like Juliano Brotman, who is extreme but legendary, with someone like Joel Fuhrman, who is a middle of the road clinician when it comes to defining the practicalities of WFPBN, say compared to someone like Cal who was the last resort for a lot of heart surgeons and cardiologists at Cleveland CLinic. But Joel is a great guy. If you could bring Joel and Colin together, and i am not saying you can or will, but if you could, that would gain some traction. But you might have to do some extra ground work for that to happen because they are two guys at the top of their game. Good luck Nina. Well done. Since you pulled this one off so well, now get cracking on the next big one. (just to clarify the point Neal made re the oxymoron word 'junkfood' because there is no such thing in reality, since it is either food, or it is junk, it can't be both); for newcomers, make your kitchen your playzone lab; read the labels carefully. cal and colin, you guys are the best;

    I suffered from metabolic syndrome (obesity, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, and high blood sugar). I went whole food plant based no sugar oil or salt and I lost 65 pounds, all my conditions greatly improved, my gums stopped bleeding, and erections and energy returned. I used to have an appetite that was never satisfied; whole foods cured it. I no longer use a sleep apnea machine. Finally, the food is cheap-Beans, lentils, rice, potatoes and seasonal apples. Also, I save money by not having to buy pills or visit the Doctor. I am thankful to all the vegans who suffered attacks to reveal the truth to me.

    So…what exactly CAN I eat. Don’t I need certain oils and proteins, vitamins and minerals from meat/veg protein? I want to be healthy but I’m worried I will be limited and antisocial. I have kids too. If I put nothing but carrot sticks in their lunch box will their brains develop right? I haven’t watched the video so will have to to find out more. Genuinely interested.

    1st accept you have an indoctrinated point of view on food and diets. Its ok, it took the covid pandemic for me to hatefully come to grips with the truth. Proteins, minerals, and vitamins is super easy to get on a plant based diet. What you think you need from animals primarily come from what the animal ate and in todays factory farmed climate, a lot of nutrients is injected into the animals because humans messed up the animals natural diet. Animals is simply the middleman to key nutrients. Go straight to the source in plants. Personally, i would recommend disregarding the staple vegetables and look into the other 100s of plant options.

    @@MsGyzy nice. Great point. Lets unpack those thoughts. Most animal's nutrients come from their diet. Those same plants you mentioned, the factory farmed animals eat them too. Also why animals need to be injected with hormones, nutrients they lack, and who knows what vaccines to help hide how unhealthy they are. Through your own thoughts, time to stop the meat or start your own farm. Good luck to you too.

    Yes, because over ninety-nine percent of the world's population isn't too intelligent and they're just followers, they buy the official story about what a normal diet is, rather than doing what they know in their heart to be right. Especially in America.
