    Depends on how you look at things. Moon elves taught humans magic. Then they stole the Nether Scrolls and practiced magic their own way, ignoring their elven teachers. Then became their own nation. Moons caused the elven empires to begin to crumble because they're "fun".

    I'm probably in the minority here, but I've always had a thing for elves. I hated some of the changes to their lore in MToF (namely that they're reincarnated after a time, rather than remaining in Arvandor). Evermeet: Island of Elves is still one of my favorite FR novels.

    I'm one of the newer players in my D&D campaign but I don't know much about the lore of my character. I'm a half-elf cleric who worships Gond and is a leather worker. I quite enjoy my character but the game itself is revealing the true nature of my character as I progress. I enjoyed your video as it allowed me to know more about the different kinds of races of elves. Thank you! 😊

    I'm drafting a sun elf wizard character who has been tasked with studying abnormalities within the weave. I do plan on making him a tad stuck up/haughty at first but eventually becoming more open and flexible toward the other races. I personally love wizards for their flexibility and potential. I'm having the hardest time picking which subclass of wizard would be best for him. At this time I'm debating abjuration or transmutation. Any thoughts?

  • @tyree9055

    @tyree9055

    Жыл бұрын

    Abjuration is ideal for warding magic and mythals, and you might want to consider worshipping Mythrien Sarath if you go that route. Transmutation is great in that I had a human transmutor who turned all of the enemy spellcasters to stone (or anyone who tried to melee him), then disintegrated them. The only problem is that he generally didn't have enough spell points to kill all of his opponents and earn the xp for them. So, the other players were forced to try and kill them, and many didn't have the weapons necessary for damaging the statues. Of course, this was in DDO (a video game) too. A DM can award xp however they see fit. I called them my "trophies" and I can still remember clearly watching one annoyed halfling tapping her foot at me for doing it too! 🤣👍

    I played a night elf rogue till northrend came out. It inspired my own lore for my illustrated novel series "Chronicles of Alkaya" my character Jaypar Prakkari is a lunar elf/avariel elf he was born without wings, rogue assassin that can shadow jump with umbrakinesis and bend the light around him with cloaking photokinesis. He's not as tall as a night elf only 6'4" 200lbs he's got dark hair cut like the goblin king jareth. He's got glowing green eyes that are adapted to seeing in the dark. In book four in my series "Alkaya: the lightening strikes at night" we follow jaypar on his mission to the darkside of the moon. First he must find the lunar saber or sword of truth an ancient alkayan artifact hidden on mt everest. When he finds the saber he holds it above his head and he's struck by a bolt of ultraviolet lightening and is instantly transported to the palace of the white witch/shadow priestess on the darkside of the moon. She trains jaypar how to use glamour magick and he becomes a Glamancer aka the westside wizard. With her help he finds the air temple to battle the gargoyle king the lunar saber is the only blade sharp enough to cut his flesh. After defeating the king he recovers the air Empyro a biomechanical symbiotic suit of armor that adjusts to conform to the host and is imbued with the elemental power aerokinesis. Think venom meets iron man meets the last airbender. There are three other Empyros that we find in the previous books book one the earth book Alkaya: the legend of Empyro you can find on amazon we find the earth empyro in south America. Alkaya is a parallel world of earth so the geography and names for places are the same. The host for the geo empyro is my younger brothers character bantam bumeril the wood elf demon hunter. The second book Alkaya: The rising tide follows my older brothers character Ferrick Vatten the whale man warrior on his mission to the water temple in the Mariana trench. The third book Alkaya: the wyldfyre follows Kolobar Avlossa the lion manimal pyromancer shaman to the fire temple located at mt. Hood oregon. The fifth book Alkaya: the holy light follows Sabria Masue the high elf holy paladin she discovers there's a fifth Empyro hidden in Egypt that enhances her photokinesis abilities. She's the heals and gets the team together she must solve the riddle of the sphinx. The sixth book Alkaya: the enveloping shadow follows Arnvatta the dark elf repticon and lead singer of dressed for genocide, as he steals an Empyro and they mimic the Empyros technology creating the shadow suit and synth empyros granting enhanced umbrakinesis. The last book in the series is book seven Alkaya: The immortal spirit. After our heroes save their realm from the great shadow dragon Lucifer they decide their work isn't done so they decide to save the multiverse by falling through the void. They end up on earth with their memories erased. Jaypar is the only one whos memories are triggered by different symbols in their realm. When i turned 16 i had a kundalini awakening the doctors called it a manic episode but i knew it was a spiritual emergence and remembered my life in Alkaya. Book seven is almost autobiographical because i talk about my experiences being hospitalized and waking up to my true potential finding the Empyros and save earth from reptilian fascists. Magic Card art of Nissa, a Zendikari elf, but of course, you're talking about some DnD realm instead. Some realm that is DEFINITELY NOT Zendikar.

    So let's make a video about goblins in DnD, but only show card art from Kamigawa, Rath, and Ixalan, where the goblins are culturally distinct and look entirely different from regular goblins in other fantasy settings.

    +dac314 If you want to stick to classic D&D goblins, stay with the first sets of MTG, which was inspired by D&D, and is more true to the classic look & culture. However, since you're being such a smartass, Ravnica goblins are both D&D and MTG...officially.

    Wowzers, you sure showed me. I know Ravnican goblins are generic as fuck, as are the goblins of Dominaria and most other planes. Which is why I specified goblins from planes that are visually distinct from regular goblins, to highlight my argument. But way to be a dumbass and miss the point I was making. I guess the video could have shown Keebler Elves, since they're elves too, yah know?

    This video was helpful I'm a shitmix a rare one at that, 1/4 sun,1/4 moon,1/2wild, and was sold into the adoption of thé darklord, Escaped (supposedly), got into a fight with the spider queen god that was sexually stocking me, got killed by said spider queen with baby's and shit laid inside me whole black widow pre-mantis thing, When the party's dragon tamer disengages from battling her stepping back to prepare for a fiery dragons breath,ignoring the hundreds of eggs waiting to hatch with just a little warmth required, Then boom, My Phoenix bursts into flames, I the elf Rælk, Drunkenly stagger back to life, Amazed and bewildered the Arachnid queen has no chance of reaction or escape, I sneak attack, as a ranger/theif My accidental nat 20 has doomed her, She resists, and I'm told to roll again by dm, Over 15, 😪spider queens dead, Next thing that's done, Is the dragon tamer nooks the room, Fwoosh, Her eggs have now hatched, Fwoosh, with his last breath, (don't ask me what lvl his dragon was he'd been playing character for 30 yrs) 🥚's dead then I'm cursed secretly, effects of curse consist: living un-death(beats me,I think like immortality but not,) ,host carrier( her spider baby's that upon my death could unleash an apocalypse of its own), web weaving (making me a better Spiderman and allowing me my day job as a silk merchant(sky pirate shh), and overbearing alcoholism (to keep critters from feasting on me own flesh) And there's a couple more that I'm forgetting

    there are no dark skinned elves. the skin tones range from tan white person to pale white person and then also just black skin (and naturally evil). so yeah, i guess my point is racism.
