Now that you're back in Montana for awhile I hope we get a couple more Steele VS Stelter vids, maybe one on each of your channels? Those were always fun to watch

Lol, Will’s soul shearing “NOOOOO!” always brings back memories.
I didn't expect to get this happy seeing you and Will get together again, if only for a little while! You should outsource some more hand sanding to him in the near future, I'm sure he'll love it!

I have been watching you since you were in that tin-can shed across the pond. You have worked very hard and I love your attitude. Very nice of you to visit your former coworker and friend Will on camera. This will definitely help Will's channel to keep growing.

Same Ive been watching since that dirt floor tin can shed haha. Hes came such a long way and what an inspiration. He is the sole reason I took up knife making and now run my own business forging knives all day. There's a lot of amazing blacksmiths out there but Alec has that rare gift that sets him so far apart from the pack.
When you are getting a better workshop tour of Will's place on Alec's channel than on Will's own channel 🤣🤣🤣
Been following Will since it was time for him to leave the shop. Always has great material on his channel. Love hearing you guys are gonna reunite the band for a project. Looking forward to it.
I love it when you guys do two man forging operations. There’s just something about it that makes you feel good about seeing something done by a team that couldn’t be accomplished alone
So great to see Will! Really loved that era of collaboration.

Real bittersweet seeing you and Will together. Reminds me of all the energy back when you just moved to Montana!
It's great to see you re-connect with Will back in the states and Jaime back in the UK when you bounce back and forth. Hopefully, one day you and Sam Fowler the farrier can bury the hatchet and do a reconnect to bring this bring back full circle.

They kind of did bury the hatchet, when Alec 1st moved to the US Sam came over to his workshop in England and Alec had him in a video he also gave him some tools and materials
Conversational "Ow, that's hot." LOVE your sense of humor and timing, Alec! If you ever get the chance to come to Bellingham, WA, PLEASE come here and visit Hardwoods To Get. 😊
😲cheeky Alec... I was waiting for Will to post the finished journeyman knives but really good to see you guys together...
It’s so cool that you’re uploading a bunch again :) if you ever have time for another project or series of videos I would love to see you try and make your own switchblade entirely from scratch. Awesome to see Will again :)

@@robfenwitch7403 i think he’ll be busy with his journeyman qualification for the next while for sure.
Glad to see you back in the US, Alec. You've come a long way since you first coined the term "doise" in a video for the loud and annoying production of dust. As you wore your Darth Vader helmet and walked into your grinding room. Glad to have been honored to watch part of that travel.
hay alec i just want to thank you in being the one who got me into bladesmithing. its been a struggle over the years and people telling me I cant do it (btw I'm 13) but im now making knives and selling them. so again i thank you .
Good to see Will again, those knives he turned out were beautiful. He has a great personality and his skill is growing by leaps and bounds. Good on ya mate!
Aww. I missed the Steele & Stelter Show. You were great on your own, of course, but you have such great on-screen chemistry.
It brings a smile to my face every time they show the clip of Will dumping that power hammer.
Looks like a storm went through Will's shop, but it's a good storm. Those knives look (as Alec put it) scrumptious.
Love the nod to Will when you talk about stainless foil. Acknowledging those who helped you grow, ultimately grows you further.
Good to see Alec and Will together again! Now finish that hammer!
You and Will together makes me happy
That stainless foil trick is pretty cool
it was nice seeing you and will together, I have been watching his channel I do miss the two of you together the steltter vs steel episodes but I am glad you separated as we. get to see him and you both build.
It's always a good day, any time you see Will !
Great to see Will! Glad you went to see him.
I am really routing for will and truly hope he will obtain the journeyman… May the forge be with him
Great that you are back in montana. It gives the whole thing a new vibe. looking forward to your new "will and alec" project(s).
The project is great, but seeing you and will hangout again is the best!
Will is something else. His attention to detail on his knives is just incredible.
It was so cool to see will on the channel. sometimes when im bored i re-watch the steele vs stelter series, it always cracks me up they should do on including sam while alecs there.
I remember when it all started and it doesn't seem that long ago, when a very young man was hammering away in a very modest shop with a leaky roof. Such an impressive journey.
Will!!! I watch Alec and Will religiously, but it’s great to see both of you together again!!!
It is great watching Master Craftsmen at work.
Love that you're back in Montana! It's fun to see more people in the videos. Love seeing Will again too.
gets me every time, the Will "NOooOOOOo!!!" hahaha
Loved seeing you two boys back together!!!
Love seeing you and will together on screen the banter and connection is real. Miss him working on the channel but understand he wants to go his own way on builds. Cant wait to see you both collabing again
8:50 I would absolutely scream my off in excitement if my husband bought me kitchen knives that looked that beautiful! omg! Dang good work! So impressed!
So nice to see you back working in Montana. I hope you’ll stay several months there and forge some epic knives, swords,…. In my opinion, your best videos were the ones you made in Montana….

Cant wait for a video of you and Will working on a project together again
Great to see Will. Reminds me how long I've been watching your channel and how for a time he felt like such a new addition to your videos. You're really expanding your brand and sharing your experience and lifestyle expertise as well as learning from and utilizing the connections you make with the cool folks you incorporate. Much love 💪⚒️
Great to see you and Will together again. Can't wait to see a colab.
Great to see you and Will back in the same screen. Looking forward to your colab.
good to see you and Will hanging out.
Nice to see Will Stelter making an appearance. Love the hammer plug hammer idea.
You have to warn us before showing that tragic clip of wills hammer breaking!! I wasn’t prepared to cry today!
So good to see you back in the states and hang with Will!
Glad to see some more current videos!! Been having to dig through the older ones to get that forging fix haha
Absolutely love the channel and better yet, I love seeing your support of other "KZreadrs" channels by using their products in your shop. The Fireball Tool metal squares are essential for any fab business. Thank you for making awesome videos and can't wait for the next!
A lot of us have been following Will's journey since he left your shop. Fantastic to watch him gearing up for his Journeyman's test. It's something he SHOULD be able to do easily... we certainly know the quality of his work. My only concern is that he DID kinda rush those knives. I hope he didn't compromise anywhere. It will be really good to see you two doing some stuff together again.
Latest vids with more workshop have been great. Good to see Will too!
Watching this got me thinking… I’d love to see a comparison of making this with the power hammer vs with a human powered hammer. How much longer would it take? Can you still be as precise and make something as perfect?

The end result would be the same, but the method and starting billet would be different. You for sure would not want to start with such a large billet. Start with a flat bar about the size he uses for a knife, upset one end to fatten it up, hot cut on one side of the upset so you can isolate the claw then flatten out the cut with the claw pointing off to the side and the head starts to protrude on the other. Then you start hammering out the handle and you are at the same stage he left the video on but with less steel to work going forward.
@BGSenior

This might not be exactly what youre looking for, but he has a series of videos where he makes a knife without using any power tools and the way he has to change his technique is really interesting to watch.

I dont think its humanly possible to make complicated damascus like this without a powerhammer or like three apprentices hitting the metal for you, it takes way too long and the metal powder would oxidize before you finish consolidating the steel properly

@@Davey768 theres a very big difference between forge welding two pieces of steel like a san mai and forging out of powdered steel The more surface area you have to work together into a single whole the faster you have to work before oxidation ruins your weld and powdered steel is nothing but surface area
Love seeing you and Will together again even just for one episode. I've been watching Will's channel since he started it and it was cool to watch him finally get to show you his progress.
Love your videos, any 25 episode series coming soon? Would love to see some sword making again😁
Something about seeing you and Will together brings me much joy!
Saw Will today at bladeshow. He was indeed a happy man.
Hey Will , For the amount of work you did in your shop to produce those beautiful knives. 😳 Just remember you can't get something clean if you don't get something else dirty.Back in the 20th century the old saying was ( A cluttered desk is a sign of genius ) 🖤🔥🖤
Wow, Will's chef's knife is beautiful.
Now these episodes are refreshing to see. I missed seeing these random forging videos in Montana and you working with another Smith together.
The dynamic duo is back!
You guys work extremely well together awesome team!! I dig your enthusiasm one reason I subscribed.. Great stuff!!!!
Really liked this one. I like the molding of metal and then you forging it into something.
Great to see you guys back together, you’ve both come such a long way from when I first started watching your vids.
Great to see you and Will together again. Glad to see his Journeyman set came together looking so nice.
I know it's a small thing, but it's really great seeing you forge back in the MT shop and to see you with Will again. Good stuff!

so cool to see you get to tour Will's setup :)
will has that universal look of someone who just went through a fuckin ringer and is satisfied with the results. congrats on becoming officially recognized will! it’s well deserved!
As a framer/carpenter, I'd love to have a framing hammer made by you. Man... it made me so happy to see you two together. I'm so glad you and Will have kept your friendship. I hope to see you guys duel again soon. I watch both of you guys and really enjoy both your channels
Love you Alec. Been watching for years. But it's just not the same as having the Will/Alec synergy on every video.
Ah, it was super nice seeing Will again in your video!
love the video , great to see will again on your channel , even tho i’m subbed to his channel as well , he made some beautiful knives , love to see more of those videos again
I live how cool this video is and thanks for keeping being cool Alex WE LOVE YOUUUUU 🥰🥰🥰
Congrats on getting those plugs to forge weld, Alec! Will sure makes some gorgeous steel!
It was so nice to see you and Will back together for a little while. I would love if you guys could do another collaboration or a Stelter vs Steele video. You guys are THE BEST!
I'm glad to see these type of videos from you again! Keep it up. It's what we all came here to see
I had one of the Estwing hammers years ago, and gave it away. Wood handles only, and yes, it makes a huge difference on impact loads to your hand, wrist, and forearm if you use it a lot. Same with your forging hammers...
Wowers that's definitely very unique and really cool. Hopefully you get great use out of it for many years to come my friends. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend forge on. Fab on. Weld on. Keep Making. God bless.
Will doesn't even work for Alec anymore but he still advertises for him. That's a good friend
love to see more collabs with alec and will. anyone agree? something like, running between two beautiful shops. :D :)
it was really nice to see some will and alec interaction. idk why but ive sensed some kind of animosity between you too but this video really cleared alot of that uo
Well I was going to give you a thumbs up, mostly because Wil was on, but then you showed the scene that makes me cry, you know what you did! :)
