Ford Fiesta Water Leaks Repaired

💧 This car had been back to the dealer, and they had resealed the rear light with lots of sealant. While the rear lights on Fiestas can leak, it's far more common for the problem to be the rear vents and cracked seams around the door hinges. We did a full inspection and found the door membranes to be leaking, although it was just a little and this didn't seem to be letting water into the car just yet. We advised that they be resealed so that there isn't another problem further down the road.

I found same problem on 2010 fiesta - leak was from welded roof seam under the plastic roof trim just before it meets the rear tailgate. Painted rubber underbody seal over cracked factory sealant to fix!
I removed the rubber items on the roof. Cleaned the groves and sprayed liquid glue(leak spray) 5 coats. The glue also gave adhesion to the black rubber strips when I returned. No leak now. Fiesta 2009 mk7

It can vary greatly, so I can't give estimates on the internet. If it is just water in the boot, it is probably something your local mechanic can fix. We sell this service as a package which starts with a £150 inspection.
How did you get that carpet out the side and what screws did you loosen without damaging it?

I did this yesterday on my fiesta. Didn't need any of tools to take off the carpet

The interior is very easy to take apart. Just remove the front seats, pop the rear seats up (no need to remove) and remove some of the plastic panels around the side that covers the wires. Only thing i had to do when i completely removed the carpet from my car was that around the center console the carpet wraps around, so i just reached back with a sharp knife and cut it. After removing and cleaning it just flipped right back into place without issue.
Ironic this has just happened to my car but don't want to be taking it to someone who will do a cowboy job. Would not know where to start for even finding garage who would do this job properly . Where are you lol. Looking at this video I would come to you lol I live in the north east.

All cars leak when they get to 8-12 years old because plastic and rubber perishes. Fords aren't worse than any other car.
