Ford Econoline O2 Sensor Replacement How to change an Oxygen Sensor on a E-150 van.
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
This video will show you how to replace an oxygen sensor on a 2002 Ford E-150 van equipped with the 5.4L V8 Triton engine. I explain the difference in a bank 1 vs bank 2 sensor and how you can tell the difference on a 5.4L V8 Triton with the 2 valve per cylinder configuration. I also explain which sensor is sensor 1 and which is sensor 2. Even if you have an Econoline that is of a difference year or engine type or trim level, some of the information in this video will still be able to help you.

This is helpful after some jackass stole my catalytic converter off my E350. Looks like I need an O2 bung and sensor as well. Hopefully the push connector on the frame side isn't fubared.
am glad i did change the sensor
gj on putting the anti-seize on there. so many vids ive watched with them not putting the anti-seize on there and I just feel bad for the next guy that has to replace the o2 sensors in them trucks.
Thanks 🙏
Hi @Creeper Van have you fixed the issue with Bank 1 - Sensor 2 ?
Did anyone realize that you can take the doghouse off and the sensors are right in front of you?

Not bank 1 sensor 2 for that one you gotta get underneath and it's behind the catalytic converter on top..
Are all three sensor the same? With the same hookups?
Did you ever fix it?
My van says rich on bank one and bank 2, do you think this could be my problem or most likely something else because it's both?

that could mean all kinds of things. check the egr valve and pipe for build up. or your timing belt needs to be replaced, you may n eed to replace air filter, there are so many reasons why htis is happening. go get yoru codes checked at a auto repair place itll give a good indication of whats going on.
WOULD YOU HAPPEN TO KNOW HOW MANY SENSORS ARE THERE ON A 1993 E150 5.8L CLUB WAGON VAN (EXPLORER MODEL).?

v8s have 4 of them. some have 3.

unclip the wire from the harness, unscrew the sensor. bam youre done. its just like removing a bolt.

@@TheStonedSpidR Well yes, theoretically, but with very limited space in the channel to move any sort of wrench. Managed to use a crows foot style sensor remover and a lot of heat, but it's out. Thanks for the help.

@@DHFlip18 if you just use a 7/8ths or 12? mm wrench it should be fine. after clipping wire you could just put the closed end on it. ive yet to find an 02 sensor that needed the special tool. the tool is mainly for if you plan on reinstalling the 02 sensor and i dont see why anybody would, unless its new and replacing exhaust or engine blows a rod or something.

@@TheStonedSpidR In my case, that crows foot adaptor and heat was the best way to go. Gave me plenty of clearance to work in the tight space and gave me the leverage I needed.
Driver-side one has to come out from under the van.
Did you ever figure this out?

Yep. The sensor ended up working. Still wandering why it is running slightly rich but so far its not an issue
