For having one of the most stressful positions in the capitalist world. Jim Farley deserves to have some FUN!. I love how he uses the product that he manages over. I bet he could tell you everyone’s first name who designed, engineered, and manufactured the Lightning Switchgear and Supervan 4. More company CEO/owners should take his example, and know the HEART of the company they are responsible for. ❤

This is what every car company should be doing … making fun kickass vehicles that are fast as s**t. That’s how you sell cars and make people excited about your product. An electric Raptor F150 is a good idea, I’d buy that over the cybertruck.

You guys are on fire. Access the vehicles that very few other people have had access to.

As a Lightning owner, I was pretty impressed to see the Switchgear and how much it work it probably took up upgrade some of those components. Would love to see more about it!

@@d4b1000 I put a small level kit on mine, a 2 inch lift and 35 inch tall tires. Other than that I would be too concerned about losing range unless I had 2 Lightnings

Ford should seriously consider taking these (Supervan 4, Lightning Switchgear) to production. Also an E-Mustang GT would be awesome, as there is definitely a space in the market for it IMO 🤔. The Supervan 4 sounds like a Banshee down the track, I love that sound!!..🤘🏽😎.

These demonstration vehicles are so cool. That van seems insane. I love the Mustang Mach-E 1400. I really want it in the new Forza Motorsport. I was really surprised to see it in Forza Horizon 5 so hopefully it along with the Lucid Air Sapphire will come to the Motorsport game.

It really was odd just to hear the rocks and debris hitting the underside of the truck instead on only hearing the engine. And when we slowed to check out the pond, it was remarkable.

I can’t wait for the electric raptor. Though we need better batteries before it would be something I’d buy.

I'd say RTR built it. Vaughn has had a lightning since before customers had one. I was wondering what they were going to build for it.

Good job good job good job!!!!! Love this channel and I love the CEO of FORD giving demo rides in a FACTORY RACE CAR. Go Ford GO!!! I’m starting to adjust to the strange sounds electric motors make and it’s only due to the performance. When the speed goes up, the anger goes up. One of the beautiful things of running hard is your car starts communicating with you. With a gas car once the engine starts screaming and the tires start frying it feels like your best friends! “C’mon Man HIT IT! More power don’t brake yet! Not yet! NOW!” Up to now, watching videos of electric cars on tracks felt a little surreal. Like the driver was disconnected from the quiet, ethereal car. That Van was different. It has its own language, just worlds different. Good to hear. This may seem strange but, my first electric car will be a Tesla, unless Ford whips their software/engineering issues and builds a street legal version of this VAN. Not kidding. A bullet fast mini van with great style would be magnificent. Low, wide body and an open, simple, multi-use interior with removable/storable seating. MAGNIFICENT. GO FORD!!!!👊

Interesting not hearing a screaming engine in an off-road truck. Pretty exciting. I love to see some rock crawling vs this racing. Any data available after that closed track blast? Would be interesting to see the drain stats. Also, was there any extra bracing needed for the battery? That’s a heavy piece of kit that I’m sure shook a bit over those jumps. Thank you for the video!

It's a great playground for testing, but it would have been better if Ford had entered Extreme E and shown his ability there.

They seemed to indicate they will take it to King of the Hammers and other events this year.

I'm not personally interested in high speed off roading, but I would definitely be interested in an off road capable electric Maverick. Sadly, I'm sure that's a few years away 😢.

Glad to see more truck stuff, but you guys need to be more like 4x4 journalists who spend more time underneath a truck than looking at the body, which really doesn't matter. Stock frame? Stock suspension mounting points or was that custom fabbed, if it was I'd really like to see it. Hydraulic or air bumpstops? And what about that low hanging rear motor, did they tuck that up more?

The powertrain was completely stock. They gave me very limited time (literally just a few minutes) with the truck but I'm hoping they get Kyle some in-depth time with the truck.

Leif Johnson Ford did something similar to a lightning for a customer back in early 2023 using some raptor parts and custom stuff. This is very cool as a concept, but imo Ford won't ever sell it, just like the cobra jet e 1800 and mach e 1400 demonstrators. So almost pointless in the end. A factory raptor style lightning imo would sell decently and a lightning lowered truck with a sporty suspension setup would also sell well added in the lightning lineup.

Except this is actually pretty much a production unit. He specifically said it's essentially a lightning with a raptor package on it. I mean there isn't much reason they couldn't produce it unlike the other stuff

WTF Level 3 Charging Stations should not be located down town. Typically on the edge of cities OR in between major destination points. You fail to understand how this stuff works.

Thing about the Ford Lightning and my family and I are Ford people for life but the truck imho would be useless and not a TRUE off road vehicle, we pull campers, four wheelers , etc through deep mud and water and no charging stations in the woods sometimes 30-100 from any town, even hunting and fishing in general, no charging stations and after we put mud grips on and hook a trailer in the winter I don’t see a place for this for your AVERAGE OUTDOORSMAN, prove me wrong????🙏🏻🇺🇸💯🤙🏻wish my uncle was still alive he was a designer for Cadillac and my grandfather worked at Ford in Detroit, then I could have more access and see for myself but these things are out priced for your average guy!

What happens when a rock hits the battery guard and ford is like your warranty is now void and forces you to use insurance who then totals your truck cause the price of the battery cost more than your truck is worth? I’m asking this because Hyundai is doing exactly this to their customers and an Ioniq 5

Max consumption rate you could probably safely do is 120 Mile range at race pace. 150 miles if you are going a leisurely like 8/10ths.
