another great video from ford performance. first the GT3 series (hope that goes all season long) and now the dakar. top notch. it's like watching an actual tv show. quality is great. and i don't think a lot of people know how hard the dakar rally really is. just to finish is a huge achievement even in the first year running.

Ford winning and finishing 24 hr Le Mans, Baja, Dakar, GT3, Rally, NASCAR, Top Fuel, etc and so many generations of racing just makes me smile and dream!
I'll be honest, i can't afford to buy a new vehicle no matter what it is. But seeing what Ford is doing with the trucks and the new Mustang gt3 is impressive and makes me happy to watch and think of Ford in a positive manner

Is the purpose of Ford's participation in the Dakar Rally to consolidate its position in the European commercial vehicle market? Can T1 racing boost sales of the production Ford Ranger? Thanks
Hey fellas, me and my dad who has been a Ford mechanic for 30+ years may be getting a stepside standard cab ranger. And we've done some engine swaps before. We want to put a 5.8 engine in this assuming we land the deal. Think ranger lightning. If this is something we manage to pull off would you guys tune in if we post it. Keep in mind it'd be some time down the road.

"Ford’s First Dakar Rally" so are we just ignoring Jean-Louis Schlesser's 2 podium finishes in a Ford buggy in 2004 and 2007, and Martin Prokop's efforts in the Ford Ranger over the last 8 years?

With Ford leading all makes in recalls I bet at least a few Ford owners wished Ford spent some of the money and brainpower they used on racing to get their vehicles fixed instead of having them sit in dealership service bays waiting for parts while those Ford owners make vehicle payments on vehicles they cannot use.

If Ford can truly get a handle on their trash QC issues of the past many years they have a real chance of climbing back up to the top of the mountain.
Imagine selling a real ford ranger to the public. Not Ecoboost trash.
