I love to hear GM's talk about chess the way they talk about is damn near surgical
I have just recently gotten into chess and the more and more I watch I can’t help but to appreciate the craft. I mean the commentary behind how he’s gonna strategize the other players move is so useful, I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve been in his opponents shoes and now watching him combat that gives me so much knowledge:)

That player played 96 percent accuracy ONLY against Hikaru on THAT particular game, all his other accuracy across the board are way lower. Not to mention that account was only weeks old and hasn't been played on again for over a month. Seems like a surf to me... and what's the point, Hikaru was playing unrated to help teach others. Not like you can ever even brag to your peers if no one knows its you. No one like that will bring up their account name knowing others will accuse it of being suspicious.
Keep these vids coming.
We need more videos like theezzzz
I think it's incredibly profound and a testimony to Hikarus chess knowledge that he can teach younger and more inexperienced chess players "themes" and "ideas" rather than being like 99% of every chess teacher I have had who just drones on about theory and positions.
Forcibly mating 500s? “That’s assault, brotha!”

New challenge: You have to mate them in 20 moves or resign
"...just like on the submarine"
Me in Chess tournaments: Cursing and rage quitting after huge loss streaks, especially when I'm matched against way better opponents or get defeated by low Elo players. Hikaru in Chess tournaments: Winning every game and making it look like the 2000s were getting beaten by an insane 500.

Thanks for the great video! I have a few questions: 1) What other books have you read/studied? (Except the ones you mentioned, "Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess"). 2) What other lists of books do you recommend to beginner/intermediate/advanced chess players about Opening/Mid-game/End-game?
