It's what I'd want from an Imperium deck, tools to face anything, go wide cause life is cheap, lots of Officers and Heroes buffing everyone, and enough xenophobia to tell anything to go die before making it do that.

I think flesh of the weak is some kind of a finisher, pumping your token units also removing opponents other smaller blockers*

Appreciate so quickly these got out. Was as stoked for these as the actual reveals

I really like the couple of just solid vehicles added in these for vehicle decks.

That assassin is badass!

Cool that thunderwolf cav has first strike so it will grow your normal attack creatures before they deal combat damage getting extra value that combat.

The sicarian infiltrator is decent in some blue decks but it gets crazy value in panharminicon yarok style creature entering decks. 😂 starts at 5 for 2 creatures entering that draws 4 cards total. Alot of value

Wait did i miss something? How come there is not a single normal imperial gaurdsmen? Like the other decks have their basic troops as tokens (pretty clever) but here those are space Marines. Heck same can be said for normal adepts sororitas units. Both are very iconic imo and it's weird there's nothing off them around here. (But then I'm also missing any mention of a leman Russ tank or a Bane blade sadly enough)

I was hoping for more clue or noncreature token theme.

Sooooooo close to foiling out mono blue jacestice league/jaceShips in oath breaker. Down to full art islands, F.o.N/W and a full art ugin. Let's goooooo! Ps just scooped the foil imperium vehicles up for $30 total.

Note on the Space Marine Devastator: I'm pretty sure the only other rec sage mono-white has is rambunctious mutt. Devastator is comparable to rec sage but so much better than what mono-white currently has

Angel of the Ruins and Cavalier of Dawn are comparable, but Space Marine is the cheapest we've seen this etb in white, and the scalability is great.

Marneus Calgar is going to make a fine token commander

Flesh of the Weak is especially strange because if you have 1/1 creatures, they just die. The +1/+1 ability uses the stack whereas the -1/-1 is static, so they will die with the trigger on the stack

It might fit the lore. The depicted space Marines are of the iron hands chapter, who's philosophy is "The flesh is weak". They hate weakness and are into biomechanically improving themselves. There's a shortstory where they they get disgusted by and casually executed panicked allied guardsmen, who were huddling up in cover away from enemy fire, not reacting to the Marines' commands to continue the fight. This fits.

Isnt Sicarian Infiltrator a better Mulldrifter?

Am I misreading Sicarian Infiltrator? It seems amazing. It's not better than Mulldrifter, but in the right deck it's not exactly worse either. Mulldrifter is good because of the shenanigans it enables... well this has shenanigans too, just different ones. Mulldrifter is a better attacker and a better blink target, but if you have token and/or artifact synergies this is great. For example with a panharmonicon, for 5 mana you get three bodies and draw six cards at instant speed. Flashing in some defensive blockers that draw cards seems pretty good too. Amazing mana sink in the late game... the only drawback is the 1/2 body isn't very impressive, but you're not playing this card for the stats.

I want to see a commander game with all four 40k decks.

Not sure they're releasing these decks on magic online, but there will almost certainly be a game knights

For how wide this deck goes it should be able to get to a 10+ reduction easily should be able to drop an omniscience for free. Then, unless I’m wrong about the ruling, you can go all in on the squad costs to maximize tokens. Add cathars crusade and just profit.

10/10 except for the "Robots" card at the end - why not make them Golems or Constructs?

The way I understand The Flesh is weak card states that your card gets plus 1 plus 1 token on them, which then states any card with plus 1 plus 1 token becomes an artifact plus whatever they were before. In other words, they wouldn't get minus 1 minus 1 as they are no artifact, meaning everyone else in the game gets minus 1 unless their card is artifact.

Will these be available in big box stores? (I prefer to support lgs but gift cards are gift cards).

Flesh is weak is very flavorful and while over costed for this deck, I imagine is costed at what it is because of the other decks that could make explosive use of it. If it was only playable in this, shouldn’t cost 5 mana lol

Looks pretty crazy but, I hate to say this but the thought of a box of miniatures made by Games Workshop of Magic the Gathering characters for me to paint sounds way more appealing!

Was somehow expecting a tiny bit more imperial gaurd rep. Also no actual Sisters of Battle or Morgen Vahl... Still really cool deck but im leaning more to the crons and the nids

One thing i wonder bout...Like. what is the main strat of this deck? I mean Nids are big stompy counters. Crons are artifact graveyard shenanigans Chaos is some weird Cascade deal noncombat damage thing I guess? But this is what? Go wide + clue tokens + artifact deck or something? I love it all its just a tad unclear to me

Go wide tokens with some combat tricks/disruption seems to be the ticket here. I'll likely drop the artifact pieces to boost the token strat, they just don't seem to fit well.

not a fan of this deck: as you said, many of the cards are overcosted, so that you can... pay even more mana to copy them? without green or any type of mana dork or ramp? the mana curve of this deck is more of a mana mountain

Oh my holy God Emperor I see now, when I took that quiz and got Obscura while my friends got everything else it was because I was just being a loyal child of the Emperor. I must go forth now and purge them for their transgressions against humanity. I will return soon in this rotation cycle as well to purge the Multiverse of the filthy Phyrexian scum. Ultramarine honor guard is going to be insane in Commander, dump infinite mana into the squad and watch as all of your creatures get +1000/+1000, add trample and rofl-stomp because, all the copies have the same +1/+1 ability

I see why Tomer likes the squad cards but I hate them. Because it's kicker. And I can't play those in my kicker deck!

I'm excited yet disappointed at the same time. Excited because of a 40k Imperium deck, disappointed that Ciaphas Cain ain't in it.

@@robkrieg8301 i feel ya. But i feel it more fitting that an inquisitor is the face commander. Who else to represent every part of the imperium and not just the spacearines? Unlike with chaos where Abaddon is the de-facto leader of them all

I want to disagree with the people who complain about you bringing outside cards into the discussion. Anyone who buys the precon decks mostly for their own sake will just need to know that they are decent/balanced compared to the other precon decks and fun to play. Individual power levels or card potentials or even optimal ways to play them don't really matter. But a comparison to the rest of the Commander card pool and ideas on how to build around these after pillaging them from their precon decks is actually interesting and useful information. I would have really liked, for instance, to have known which of those multicolor legendaries make for good commanders in their own decks.

Really excited to get this deck! I just wish that the Adeptus Mechanicus creatures were typed as cyborgs rather than humans.

Would like this deck IF it wasnt universes beyond

I don’t like the design of Sanguinary Priest. It doesn’t feel like it matches what they do in the lore at all. I feel like Blood Angels should have been left out of the deck.

Honestly I love everything about this, they did a pretty good job combining the two hobbies. But why oh why is astartes a creature type? Inquisitor I get, but astartes can never be a real tribe.
