Sylke Faya was one of my favorites for the sad short time she was there. Whoever bought her and Pjirkje was one lucky person! 💞

Me too! I enjoy watching these older videos of them. Maybe one day one or both will return to Stal G. I know they went to a beautiful home.

Pjirke is a very protective mama! Sylke is wanting to run full tilt and Pjirke is like”settle down Sylke”. lol what a beautiful site!

I'm not sure why I never noticed in previous videos, but Pjirkje is really muscular! Some of the mares are more slender, but Pjirkje is a tank. I can see why she's great pulling the cart - she looks incredibly strong.

I'm not sure why, either, but I thought the same thing. Watching them together in the arena I realized what a nice hip, croup and overall muscle and mass Pjirkje has. Elegant, but lots of muscle expression. Impressive.

It's a treat watching her find out what her little legs can do! Running, jumping, quick turns.... she has lot's of spirit!

Pjirkje is a wonderful mare. She is so attentive to Sylke Faya but calm and trusting with her human friends. She is really the sweetest mother. Little Sylke Faya is so different from Sanne. It is amazing how different their personalities are so young. My granddaughters are just in love with the new fillies.💜💜💜💜

So very cute! I remember Pjirkje with Jonah Rein outside for the first time, and how closely she watched him! She is a very good mother. Sylke likes being close to her too, I always think of Mathilde running like crazy and Sjirkje chasing her! Every foal is different.

David Cordes, Jonah Rein's first time out with his mem was great. I remember him tripping over her feet. And, although she warned him not to, he did put his face on the wire and shook his cute head when he got a little shock. They were great together.

There's nothing more beautiful than a mare and her foal romping about. Especially with these two cuties!

I love her little whinnies too!! I saw the word wee & knew you were Scottish! BLESS you my dad's people are from Scotland near Glasgow & I had Aunts & Uncles that said those precious words to me. I'm 4rd Generation American born.

She’s so fast ! And brave, she doesn’t wait for her mummy, she just runs 😎

AMEN!! A job that NEVER leaves you. Even to nurture the lost, sick, & unloved out there.

It's always a proud moment to see little Sylke and flexibility she demonstrated. Calmer yes, but a bundle of energy that one day will unfold into a beautiful Fresian Horse.

Sylke Faya is all legs and shows a nice step already! She has beautiful movement for a baby.

Pjirke is a true "helicopter " momma, hovering over her little one and running after Slyke Faya to make sure she is fine. I would love to know what she is saying when she tosses her head around: "Listen to your Mother "?? Slyke Faya is already prancing in fine Friesian style. Wonderful to see!

I want to recognize what a fantastic job that PIETIE did corralling Silke Faya when she tried to take off running away from Pjirkje. She got her arm around that foal's neck so FAST as they were approaching the stable, it was almost unbelievable! EXCELLENT MOVES PIETIE! 🐎🤩

Sylke Faya is absolutely Beautiful!! Pjirkje never took her eyes off her Precious Little One.

Omg I about died laughing in the beginning at Sylke Faya in full prance mode without a care in the world! You always gotta watch it when the infants learn to walk/run, they'll zoom on ahead before you can stop 'em! XD

Everyone seems very interested in the foals whenever they come past the stall doors! I think Pjirkje panicked just a little bit when Sylke went the wrong way when going back to the stall.

Yes, I would have loved to watch Sylke Faya grow up.

She stays right close to her as a mother and spunky daughter should!! She’s findings out what her legs will do!! So beautiful watching them! I could waste a whole day watching them!❤️❤️

Filly Silke running is a thing of beauty.

Pjirke is a bit of a helicopter mom. lol. VERY protective. And Sylke Faya was ready to go on without her at the beginning. lol. Independent spirit, like Marije. they must get that from their sire, Fonger.

Sylke Faya has a beautiful little structure and prance. She’s going to take a nice long nap after this playtime.

It's wonderful when they discover they can gallop, then there is no stopping them. I think Mum enjoyed a bit of a stretch-out too. Thank you for sharing this moment with us.

She seems very confident walking straight into the arena without any hesitation like most foals.

After Sylke Faya ran away outside the stable, I would have expected that she would behave in a similar way to Sanne and immediately gallop away. But then she was much calmer, probably too much new and scary things and of course a different character. Does Pjirkje have problems with the halter or why is she imitating headbanging Johnny?😀

From what I am observing she is telling and encouraging Sylke Faya "you can run, I am there with you" which then off course Sylke Faya takes off in a little gallop with mama behind her.

That was so much fun to watch! FREEDOM!! At one point I saw Sylke put the move on her mom & galloped all the way down! I know I’m not the only one who wants to know what all the head shaking is about. Was Pjirkje trying to tell her where to go?

K A Layne Reintje & Ritchsje are next up at the end of this month after them it’s Her Majesty of Goengamieden(Uniek)in May & her little one will also be Yvonne’s.👑💗💗🐴🐴 Last but not least it’s maiden Frieda’s turn in July so if all goes well there will be a total of 6 sweet babies this season.🤗🤗

Lots of pizazz that little one has. She will be a forward moving mare. So very cute and she has a good mom.

It is always the mama's chasing after the babies, when it should be the other way around! OMG... I just love the noise she makes!!! She did not sound like a horse, maybe a bird or chicken! LOL soooo cute!!

Goodness that little filly is FAST for a 6 day old! Lol momma trying to keep up thi king, this kid of mine is gonna wear me out! 😂😂

Wow - Pjirkje really has her "hands" full with little Faya! Most of the foals are like shadows to their dams... but not this one! She's so sassy & not afraid of being apart from her Momma. Ps: have you given any thought to tying the neon colored, plastic ribbons/ non sticky tape onto the electric & wire gates & fencing in the field so the foals understand where the wires are??? Easy to cut off when foaling season is over & prevents unnecessary injuries. We did that anytime a new adult horse came to our herd, to help them "see" the wire fencing in the fields. Just a thought.... Great, super cute video!!! 👏👏👏♥️🐴
