@@KarateDojowaKu I think the difference with you is that you know the techniques and can communicate them clearly. Other videos have more senior sensei's but either don't fully explain the technique or it's in japanese so I can't understand what's going on.

In my, Kang Duk Won karate style, if I have this correct, we step through the knee, not over the knee. I believe this is the same thing you are presenting. We do this for the speed of the movement.

Do you also show stretches to help do the splits or at least a high kick. I'm 33 and super rigid now... When I was young I could almost do the splits... I'd love to be able to kick high again. I'm currently doing goju ryu karate

Quick question, why is your round house kick more similar to TKD than to some of the older shotokan karate videos?

@@KarateDojowaKu Hey thanks for replying! If you look at any old JKA videos, Mawashi Geri almost looks like it come out of the side with the knee very high latterly and the striking point is with the ball of the foot. In one of your kicking tutorials your Mawashi geri's lateral chamber seems very minor, you don't bring it very high. And the striking area is with your instep. If you look for TKD "round house" tutorials you'll notice the kicks are very similar though not exactly the same. Thank you again for reading.
