you are brave, considering the stereotypes Chileans often have.....they are usually just based on looks, which I hope changes once they meet you, but even so. I have lived in Chile for 14 years, and 95% of Chileans are nice to me, but since there are so many more immigrants here compared to 2008, some of the locals have less open attitudes about foreigners than before.

I’ve been OUT since 2020. The handwriting was on the wall for me in March 2020. I’m so happy I did. My husband and my 95 yo mother with dementia, pack up, sold my home in 1 day, and moved to the Dominican Republic, my husbands native land. I’m retired! We have bought property, houses and our monthly expenses are so low its head spinning! We live in the country and most of our food grows on our land. Moving has been a blessing. And the icing on the cake is that my Vitamin D level is normal for the first time in my life. 😂 don’t get me wrong. It’s been an adjustment, but little by little. I’m in my paradise home now, Mosquitoes and all. I want my Grandchildren to come and live here. I’m the retired Grandmother who has paved the way for my family to follow me. And leave now! God bless you!

I’m white, 61, and male, and I found this video informative, inspiring, practical, reasonable, and useful. I have already sent the link to the video/channel on to multiple friends of both genders, different races, ethnicities, religions, etc. I am hoping that they will watch, listen, and act before it is too late. I am also heading for the lifeboats as the USS Titanic has hit the iceberg and is in the process of sinking, whether the conditioned masses want to believe that or not. It grieves me to say it but what is, is. Acceptance of reality is critical as a first step and knowledge is key to doing things properly and successfully. This channel offers wonderful, supportive help toward that end. I cannot help but remember that millions of Jews in Nazi Germany did not want to believe what was happening in their country with the rise of Adolf Hitler. They wanted to believe that things were not going to get worse and reasoned that their families, businesses, and lives were in Germany, which HAD previously been a successful, prosperous democracy until the rise of Hitler and the Nazis. The ones who fled Germany because they did not believe the propaganda that everything was going to get better and Hitler did not pose the threat that he did lived. Those who stayed and told themselves that Germany was still the same country that it had been lived to regret their decisions to stay and were slaughtered. Keep up the wonderful work! May God help us all. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

12 years here in Japan. Its 50/50. The treatment here depends on the job you have. If you have alot of skill, you may be able to escape the bias and possibly working for abusive institutions. However, its all in the preparation. Getting certificates and researching on how to get the approrpiate visas to be able to work on jobs outside of teaching English. I am darkskinned. And have worked my way up to positions of power. Yet, still face terrible intersectionality when it comes to being black and female in this patriarchy. Japan is a self soothing country that often sweeps issues under the rug. And yes it is beautiful as well. However, i would advise not to be blindsided by the pacifiers here. If your daughter would come here to live, i feel she should have a unmovable goal. Once she sets foot , start working on getting a permanent visa (not a change of citizenship). So this way, if she doesnt like it, she would still have the opportunity to come back. @@shoot4themoon406

Acknowledge that this woman had the education and experience to back up her qualifications. I don't agree with everything that happens in my political party. The point is, something seriously wrong happened then. I left the U.S in 2021 to live in Portugal 🇵🇹. I bought a small apartment as a vacation home and this was my go to. Paid est. 65,oooeur. My property taxes are 149 eur. I live near a tourist area. Beach is a 10 min walk. Bakery at the corner. I feel as though I came back to life. I was ready to leave my job but we worked out an arrangement. I registered as an llc so that they could pay me as a vendor. Plan, visit & research. I don't pay for private insurance anymore because I can afford to pay for appointments myself. I make it a point to go to gym. Work on my health. Eat healthy. Go visit, know what kind of area you want to live. I wanted small to medium town with easy access to amenities and that's where I live. Blessings and best wishes 🙏 love and ✌. I have no regrets. Don't look back.

This is awesome Stephanie! I am a retired senior and planning to move in 2024! I planned for many years. I did it in steps. First I moved back to the East coast after 40 years in Los Angeles. I got my finances and health care together in California. The next phase was to prepare more intensely with my spiritual and emotional mindset to live abroad once again. I lived abroad 40 years ago and I always knew that I would leave America in the future. Plan!Plan and make your EXODUS!

It would be a shame to suffer violence twice. My heart breaks imagining our diaspora suffering the judgement coming to babylon. It will be a double tragedy. I pray the LORD leads all of you who have this insight and provide all that is needed to move to safety. Also be careful where you're moving to as babylon will not suffer her judgements in isolation, there are many who have drunk of her cup and will share in her judgement...

As the saying goes "go where you're treated best." I left the USA years ago. One BIG reason was I didn't want my daughter raised in the US culture. A bit of advice.....if you can obtain a 2nd passport do so. It's easier to live in other places if you're a citizen of that country or at least working towards obtaining citizenship of the country you settle in. Then you don't have to worry about your visa being denied, getting kicked out at a moment's notice due to laws changing, etc. Don't forget about taxes. ALL Americans are supposed to file taxes no matter where they are in the world.

I am a black American and work in healthcare. We had to choose a country where English was the primary language due to my career. After 3 years of paperwork, we finally received our permanent residency in Melbourne Australia last month and planning to leave right after elections. As a permanent resident in Australia, you have free healthcare and kids go to school for free. It was important for us to choose a country that the education level was at or above the level of the US. Currently live in GA and we are ready!

Another tip to figure out what you’ll need for the cost of living in another country is to look at the average salaries of different professions of that country. For example if a nurse makes an average of $24,000USD in the country you’re researching, then you may be able to use that as a guide to figure out the amount of yearly income you’ll need to live in that country, especially if you can speak the language a little bit.

I love this conversation and the pragmatic discussion about reasonable options. "Safety is an illusion." So good to keep it real. I'm a generic middle aged white guy here. I appreciate the perspective of black woman (and others) to see alternative angles. I'm middle of the road in terms of politics. I'm not afraid of the far Left or far Right. I'm concerned about potential conflicts between those two extremes causing difficulties. Two years ago my partner (gay) and I started the process of acquiring residency status for Mexico. We continue to live in the States, but travel to Mexico regularly with a one-foot-in and one-foot-out strategy. In three more years our temporary status will become permanent. We have American and Spanish friends in Mexico and we love Mexico City. We might semi-retire there someday in a nothing-ever-goes-wrong scenario. Or we could quietly migrate with documents in hand during a crisis. Mexico could be our final destination. But it could also be a staging area for a second migration elsewhere. Keeping those options open.

I don’t have children but what Roshida elegantly expressed about Black children living abroad is what brings me the most joy when in Belize! Their smiles and safety are PRICELESS!🫶🏾 And I am so glad you mentioned how to live abroad and then return to the States to work! Retirement in Belize for teachers is age 55 (the last I checked 🤔) so returning to the States and substitute teaching (do not sign a contract even though you may be certified…negotiate your salary) and working as a licensed massage therapist afford me the FREEDOM to earn money several months a year and live/travel abroad for several months. It is a win-win!!! You can do it, goddesses!
