The biggest question of all that not many people will touch/address. The main thing for people not quitting their job especially in USA is health insurance. Health insurance is what is holding most people on their job. Especially if you are over 50 as I am. You definitely touched on this. Thank you. It looks like that’s why most people are looking outside of the USA so they can afford healthcare after they leave these jobs. Blessings to all.
@StephaniePerry
Жыл бұрын
You're welcome. And blessings. For anyone else with this question, I talked about that at 14:55 My solution is to go to a country where healthcare is not tied to my employment status. That's basically any country except for the United States of America. Residency in Costa Rica will give me access to a less expensive, more inclusive healthcare system. Private insurance ($1400/ year) + low cost healthcare. In the US an MRI can cost $2500. In Costa Rica an MRI is $400. So even if I didn't have residency in Costa Rica, I would get insurance and pay for the difference out of pocket.

That's a good question I used to ask too. Thankful for Ms. Perry's touching on this topic. I also found out before that some private insurance listed U.S. marketplace is income-based. Some people who transitioned to working from home may start off not making as much as their job, so the price of some health insurance seems like the "section 8" ins., where it's usually expensive, you're only paying much less if your income is less than a certain amount. Of course, it can increase after you've increased past that threshold and varies according to state, marital status, family, etc.

This is why health insurance should never be attached to your job. National health insurance is a human right not an option to be monopolized and monetized for profit.

I am in my early 40s. One child. Currently employed for 10yrs. Renting. Credit qualifies for home purchase. Money saved in the bank, yet possible homelessness could be real by the end of THIS month due to being unable to find a home to buy in the last 2yr's Seller's market and also being unable to find affordable housing as a single woman in the world. Been praying and crying and crying and praying for a breakthrough. (Crying while typing this, actually, too...lol) This is the 2nd video of yours that I have watched and you are very encouraging. Your vids gave my heart a little much needed hug... Thank you. Pray for me, please!

How much do you pay each month in rent, # bed/bath, and how expensive is the area? It does not always make sense to buy especially because the pandemic has given rise to a housing bubble in many US metropolitan markets. It may make sense to rent and save in a HYSA / invest. Look up compound interest calculator.

Instead, I am stuck yet again, working a job I dislike and running yet another race I cannot win, I am a hamster on a wheel yet again. I have 4 children, 1 in college and 3 still at home. My husband and I are stuck, we cannot just pick up. If I could unplug, leave this house behind and all the worries and strife that come with it, pack up in an RV, and travel....go where we wanted when we wanted.
@StephaniePerry

@melinatedroyaltytv

This video was such a breath of fresh air. I literally hate every job I get. I crave freedom & my time. I am also a creative. I paint, draw, create flyers/media/content. I’m currently a social media manager & photographer for this company that doesn’t pay me nearly enough. I’ve been thinking hell…I can probably offer these services without them and get paid my worth!

I have dreams, but so many things are holding me back. I am living vicariously through you right now.
