It’s funny that I as a 39 year old man that has never been drunk or even drank alcohol nor done any drug that’s a controlled substance due to seeing my older siblings battle addiction absolutely love Klaus and is my favorite.

I love how Diego's hallucination is "We dance happily and become friends afterwards" . It's actually what he thought of somewhere deep inside, because Five was hallucinating of Delores later and we know he loves her. Actually it makes sense that Diego loves dancing because he does it every season and his dance moves are the most cool and original.

I love how the dance pairings between the Umbrellas and Sparrows foreshadow many of character arcs throughout the season. Planting seeds while cutting footloose. That's some great writing and choreography.

I've watched this scene three times now and just now caught this. It is hilarious and just shows how many takes they did on this one scene alone. At 0:00 Klaus has his jacket and hat on. At 1:52 one of the Sparrows is wearing Klaus's hat. At 1:56 Klaus throws his hat in the air. At 2:00 Klaus is back to wearing his hat. And at multiple cuts within the scene Klaus is wearing his jacket and then not wearing his jacket. In the last dance off portion of the dance, they take shots out of sequence. Cast have switched positions in the ring and Klaus is again with and then without the jacket.

This scene is just as good as the dance scene from season 😂😂😂 Diego: What are you doing? Luther: Protecting our honor bro! Diego: "just goes with it"

My first thought was Marcus had some kind of dancing related power since another guy with super strength is kind of lame when there's only 60 some of them in the world (or 16 in this universe?). So many perfect elements to this scene. Diegos shocked little step back in the beginning. "Get him Luther!" The smoothness of everyone synchronizing. Five's serious face clap. Alison's amazing outfit. Klaus' hands up dance during the passbacks. It also tells you so much about these new characters in a way. Just such a clever tv moment that I will always cherish.

You know this proves that no matter how absurd this show gets, we accept it and love it

I was 100% ready to accept that this was a timeline where all conflicts were settled through dance battles.

Klaus spent most of this series living his best life in really horrible (for him, for others who tried to save him) ways. But I will always love that in this scene, Klaus really IS living his best life, including being reunited with Ben. Robert Sheeran is hard core fabulous in this!

I would love for the cast to do an interview and be asked how long it took them to get the dance scene down. From what I understand they had to work on this over Zoom due to the quarantine. Can you imagine how difficult that was? You have no way to coordinate the rhythm since nobody is in the room with you. If your timing is a second or so off, it isn't obvious over Zoom.

The season 1 dance felt pure adlibbed. Season 3 is well choreographed and many of the actors appear to be fulling enjoying themselves. I can only imagine how awkward it was to learn this over zoom during the lockdown. But man, it just doesn't seem like The Umbrella Academy without one dance scene every season.

In this case Diego wants both parties to be happy & get along with each other which is why everyone in the Umbrella academy has some nice & happy expressions on their faces, it may also be how he views each of the members on the Umbrella Academy. Since Luthor talked in a himbo voice when Diego asked what are they doing so he may see him as the big dumb brute of the team & like the commenter said even in this goofy scene Five is still looking serious so Diego may still view him as the same hard ass.

I love how when viktor is dancing next to marcus it just shows how dwarfed elliot page is by everyone. Even five! (five is 5'5" [lol] and viktor is 5'1")

It wasn't even a particularly relevant detail to the rest of the season that her venom causes hallucinations, which leads me to believe they just wanted a Footloose dance battle and wrote Jayme to have that power so they could do it.

This is still the best scene ever from this show. Luther's crab dancing makes me laugh every time!

I like how in his hallucination, the only thing Diego can imagine Christopher doing is spitting out glitter and manifesting balloons.

You can tell all the actors enjoyed the hell out of this. Some of them likely went into this dance kicking and screaming, but when it all came together it was perfect symmetry.

I love this bit Not only does this imply a lot of funny stuff about Diego (including the fact that he clearly knows the footloose dance intimately) but we also get to see 5 dancing and seems to be taking it 100% seriously

5 dancing is hilarious because of the personality of his character in the show

Damn Elliot is giving his all at 2:23 and it looks great, the choreography in that duo was great. This whole scene is great.

I was so disappointed when I learned that it was an hallucination

This show’s so weird and odd I didn’t even question for a second if this was a hallucination and was fully ready to just accept this as being reality

Diego being very confused and proud at the same time I freaking love it! Also watching the behind the scenes is just as hilarious as seeing the final scene.

Dance scenes are sooooooo underrated. Love this.

Considering that we establish later that the hallucinations are based on desires, this adds a bit of charm that deep down Diego wants to solve all his problems with dance.

And as we see Five hunging and kissing the air, people act out their fantasy... so Diego danced all by himself while the others were just standing there or fighting, (the show, shows him in the same spot from the beginning so i think diego controled himself while hallucinating... but still fun to think about)

Personally it threw me back to the pilot episode when Diego and Luther were about to fight, and if I remember correctly I think that Klaus tells Luther the exact same thing 🤔

It's the "Get them Luther!" That forever cemented Klaus as one of the greatest characters I've ever seen written and interpreted by its actor so perfectly. I can't be convinced that in other universes he is played by anyone else, it's just inconceivable to me.

I love the moment, when at first you think that Allison, Five and Klaus reacts like "What the hell just happend?". But the thruth is only Diego don't know what is going on. Allison in fact is like: what's Luther gonna do? Five is like: they're really good! And Klaus is like: that's gonna be a tough one dance-off!

Actually, Reggie made them take dance lessons. At least that was said by Diego when he danced with Lila in the Mexican Embassy on season 2. For that reason, I also thought the dance battle was real.
