🚗距离督亚冷市镇大约10分钟车程，有一个村庄名叫《宋溪榴梿新村》。此村命名的缘由，是因为以前有一条河，河边种满了榴梿树，当时被称之为“Sungai Durian”。如今，这条河流已经不复存在。虽然宋溪榴梿新村毗邻督亚冷，但早期的村民并不是靠养殖大头虾维生，反而从事矿工及橡胶行业。目前新村人口大约4千人，村民以客家籍贯占了大多数。因此，大部分的村民一般上都能说得一口流利的客家话。
🥢一谈到当地美食，最有特色的则是“刀麻切”，也就是我们俗称的板面 。以前的客家村民，家家户户都会自己动手制作这道美食。 “刀麻”在客家话的意思是“菜刀”或者“大刀”。而传统的板面是以大刀将已经压扁的面团切成条状，再加以烹调， 故此得名 。当今市面上售卖的板面都是用面条机制成，“刀麻切”这种手艺越来越少见，所幸有些客家新村保留了传统美食的原貌。

🌳Sungai Durian is situated in the state constituency of Kampung Gajah, Perak. It is about a 10-minute drive from the town of Tanjung Tualang. The village is home to around 4,000 people. The majority of the population is mainly Chinese Hakka. In the past, the main economic activities in the area were mining and rubber tapping.
🍝Pan Mee is a popular dish in Malaysia, especially among the Chinese community. In the early days, Hakka Pan Mee is known as “Dao-Ma-Chet” in some villages. The name comes from the big knife that the Hakkas call "dāo má”; this was used to cut the flattened dough into strips before being cooked. "Chet” (or qiè in Mandarin) simply means "cut”! These noodles were later called pan mee after they were brought to Kuala Lumpur.
