Hi Bill and Lisa 🙋‍♀️ Just a tip. Find a place to sit and eat food from places like the taiyaki stand. Standing on the sidewalk and eating or worse, walking and eating is considered a faux pas in Japan, though they tend to overlook it if you're obviously a tourist. The exception to this are places like street food markets and festivals.

500 yen is a great price for that fish soup. Did Bill dip his chopsticks in water before 3:38? The fish shaped desert with red bean (ice cream version) is my all-time favorite. l like how Lisa enjoys all the San Rio stuff. I'm the same way...I remember when they used to have the punch loyalty card in the mid 90s. Those are outstanding Ramen prices, better than here in the states!l

YELP reviews can be tricky to navigate, so my experience going there so often has taught me. Some people really like stuff. Others really do not. Some people are in good moods when they review stuff. Others seem not to be. 😂 Oh well, huh?

I could never win anything with those claw games (UFO Catcher)👍. Never. 😰 I could only play the golf games and airplane flying games. 👍 The prior complex, to where your hotel is located, included a multiplex movie theater, shops and a live theater called Kabuki-za. One night I was drinking and singing at my favorite bar in Golden-Gai and the cast from the musical Grease came in (they were from Australia and performing at Kabuki-za). Top level singers in a dinky bar where all the drinks were ¥500. It was a great night as I got to hear some professional singers for zero fee. haha! Next time you are in Tokyo, try the tempura chain, "Tendon Tenya." It's great!

In some cultures it’s considered a compliment if you eat voraciously. Slurping ramen or stuffing your face means you’re really enjoying the food.

Bill is unrivaled in his ability to eat ramen noodles. His technique should be studied by all up and coming noodle aficionados. 🙂

I hate chewy donuts. I want to eat my donuts not chew on it like gum. Krispy kreme ftw

Takoyaki is the worst Japanese food I have ever tasted. Yuck. I bought it at Tokyo Central Takoyaki stand fresh and it was uncooked inside with a really tiny piece of octopus. I tossed it. 🤮

Tokyo sweet, sales person wore gloves, I thought he wore it for sanitization but then he took the money with gloves on and gave change with it on. Disappointed!
