Back in the late 80's, I saw The Kneetremblers at UMASS Lowell Cumnock Hall. In the 80s, Foghat broke up and reformed a number of times, and one of those iterations was The Kneetremblers. I imagine some contract bullshit kept them from using the name. Anyway, it was a snowstorm that night, and nobody showed, so me and about 25 other people got to see Foghat perform a really intimate show, and it was awesome!! I think I broke my chair making noise.

I only had one chance to see Foghat live. That was at the “Super Bowl of Rock” on June 4, 1977 Soldier Field, Chicago. The concert featured Emerson, Lake & Palmer; Foghat; the Climax Blues Band and the J. Geils Band. The next day the Chicago Tribune reported that 70,000 people attended the concert but later I read it was more like 67,000 or 68,000. Still it was one Hell of a day and evening!

Glad you checked them out, they gave some great songs, "Fool for the City" "Stone Blue" " I Just Want To Make Love To You" just to name a few

Foghat was one of the pioneers of the blues-rock & boogie-rock sound. Their heavy use of the electric slide guitar and synthesizers drove the heavy blues influence. Very cool band and lots of hits. Here's another suggestion for a live performance, if interested. "I Just Want To Make Love To You - Foghat/The Midnight Special" --This is a blues song and it's a cover of an older song, I think...and it is from the band's debut album released in 1972, the first of their two self-titled albums.

The rock, funk, blues of Foghat
This was one of those bands that tore it up for a few years there. Very deep good group of talented musicians. They weren't posers. Once again: An era of musical giants swallowed solid bands like Foghat. But Foghat had top position on rock stations for a good while. I remember Journey was being pushed by agents hard, but listeners called in to cancel journey, play Foghat now!! We had just gotten over KISS clown show, these dudes slammed that door!!!

YES! Foghat was a helluva live band in the 70s. Live version of 'Slow Ride' and 'I Just Wanna make Love To You', from the Foghat Live album, are incredible. Thanks for the reaction
This song was a staple in every skating rink in the country in the 70s.

There are SO MANY rock bands that are outstanding that you guys have never heard before!! SO MANY!!!!
Love the bluesy Rock of this song by Foghat. A rock n dance, driving song. Takes me back in time. Thank you for a great reaction guys
What a great classic rock song!
Legendary!
Some songs are just timeless & this is definitely one of those songs. People 100-years from now will listen to this & love it.
Foghat! Now you are talking! One of my favorite bands. Fool For The City, Stone Blue, Live Now Pay Later, Home In My Hand, Stranger In My Home Town, Drivin Wheel, Midnight Madness, Somebody's Been Sleepin' In My Bed, Boogie Motel, Honey Hush, Nervous Release, Loose Ends, these are just some of their great songs.
One of those badass songs that you just can’t ignore! Phenomenal Classic!❤
One of the greatest rock songs ever made!!! Good one guys. Thank you.
Every song from the Foghat Live album is fkn amazing!
One of the best rock songs ever! One of my favorite bass tunes, soooo awesome
I saw Foghat in 1978 it was the loudest concert ever!! And fantastic 😊
Yes... To reiterate other comments Foghat live all of its good this song is amazing
From 1972 I think. This song was used for something, but I can't say it here. Lol! High school was fun! Thanks guys
Definitely road trip music! Speeding ticket on the horizon? My wife loves them, so…..
Man, if this doesn’t bring back memories of the 70’s, nothing will!
Nick Jameson on bass is so good. This song will definitely help you get a speeding ticket. Hahaha
It reminded me of the American band Montrose, such songs as "Bad Motor Scooter", "Rock Candy", "Space Station #5", they are very similar in style
Great live show band, high energy , honey hush , live is a cranker.
Saw them in the early 70's when they opened up for ZZ TOP, such a great concert and such happy memories ,you guys have me going down memory Lane again, Thanks !🥰✌️
Would like to see some Savoy Brown the band that Foghat players came from. Foghat had one of the great album covers of all time. Their Rock-and Roll album simply had the image of a rock and a dinner roll.
One of the best live bands of them all. Seen them rock arenas and the Cotton Bowl to the top and farthest seating. Foghat Live is one of the best live albums. I Just Want To Make Love To You off Foghat Live is as good as it gets. Honey Hush. Home In My Hand. Fool For The City...
Glad to see you are liking the music I grew up with. The 70s were so great for music.
Oh man! This takes me back, I saw Foghat 3 times, and it seems over the years they have been a bit forgotten. During the 70's they were often headlining stadium festivals. They were the perfect blend of rock, funk, and some swampy blues thrown in for good measure.
1975 Foghat with opening act….Kansas $6.50 ✌️
My first concert February 1976 in Cincinnati Ohio was Queen & Foghat, great live band
Foghat has several Great songs. So Happy you Gents are rocking it up with so many great bands. Thanks Again ❤

Hey Paul, I just chuckled and shook my head when you mentioned BOC and godzilla! That was the tour I seen them on also! Now, of course I have no clue as to the specific circumstances of your experience, but mine were trippy! Pun intended! I seen them at the Lansing Civic Center...Lansing, MI I dropped a hit of Orange sunshine, blotter acid before we went in. I just started peaking when godzilla came out on stage! I bullshit you not, I thought it was the real godzilla!! The concert seemed to go so quickly, because I just lost all track of time. The only other time I ever saw anything similar was when iron maiden brought eddy out! I went to 37 concerts in the 70s. Just thought I'd share that story. PEACE bro! Michael Kane

You guys always bring it in the way that makes me come back. Been a bit since I’ve been with you. Traveling a lot. But I did hit a business trip to Columbus Oh two weeks ago and did see Foghat live. They aren’t what they were. Only 1 remaining original member left, the drummer. They are one of my favorite bands! They have their radio hits but their first 5 albums are all quality products! This song at the time was (is) badass buts it’s the one that been played to death on FM radio. This band was born out of Savoy Brown! One of my favs (British blues rock band). Dave Peverette sand on Savoy Brown Looking In album then they left and started Foghat
"Foghat Live" album is right up there in my top ten albums of all time. Check out "I Just Want To Make Love To You"
The last time I saw this band was in our “Ginger Rogers/Craterian theater. They were loud enough that people were LITERALLY hiding behind the seats!!!
Fool for the city and I just want to make love to you are their other two really big hits, but everything is good from them. It was a huge part of the soundtrack of my life, played at every party or function that I was at. Thank you for finding this band, classic.
I could listen to that bass groove by itself for hours!
foghat live is one of the best live albums ever(top 10 easy) only 6 songs but it rocks hard
My very first concert. Elf, Foghat and The Edgar Winter Band. 1974 Pocono Mountain Speedway
I saw this tour live, 2nd row center ! Minneapolis '75. Montrose opened. Then Foghat who was my favorite band then. Followed by Black Oak Arkansas. Monster show !
Great band and great live show. Will never forget them.
GOOD WORK listening to the long version. It's no use without that incredible buildup at the end.
1979 I saw the World Series of Rock at Comiskey Park in Chicago- Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, The Tubes, Foghat and RUSH. Great Show.
The live version is even better!
That’s bluesy interlude……mmmmm……then let’s make noise!!! 🔥great song! ❤️🎥❤️
Another great classic from the 70s Your covering all the bases of the music I grew up on! Way cool
Ya start with a drive, getting comfortable. Then things start getting cozier and it's time to get to it and go, go, go. It's rolling, you're feeling good. It starts building and the urgency is strong. Faster and faster, then BOOM! The song is over.
A classic 70s song. Check out Their rendition of I Just Want To Make love to you, Driving Wheel, & Fool for the City. They were a blues based British band.

Sweet memories. My first ever concert, Miami baseball stadium 1978.
Title track is cool, too. Excellent live band.
The album Fool For the City that this song came off of is a GREAT ALBUM.....EVERY SONG. Foghat is a group. They came up with name when one of them spelled it out during a scrabble game. FOGHAT is not a word. Presto! Great name for a band.
For a song called Slowride, its not what you expected. Banger!
Check out the live version of I Just Wanna Love To You by Foghat. Fantastic groove!
You're right. They ARE a fun band, live and on vinyl. The title song from this album, Fool for the City, is fun too. They do great covers of Chuck Berry's Maybellene, Willie Dixon's I Just Wanna Make Love To You, and Terraplane Blues by Robert Johnson. Drivin' Wheel is a good rocker from them.

Foghat "It hurts me too" live is amazing
Knockin’ them boots!!!!!
Feel like we're going through the Dazed and Confused soundtrack
All downhill since the seventies. :)❤
the album foghat live is killer start to finish. all their best songs (up to that point) super charged.
It was in the 80s at The Agora in Cleveland. Same night was Foghat, Blue Oyster Cult and Black Sabbath. I couldn't here right for a week.
Beyond EPIC -- playing air guitar to this while grimacing at a kegger was almost a Rite of Passage for America's White Teen Males circa late 1970's and early 80's. There's a damn good reason the last scene of the (great) movie "Dazed & Confused" is of the gang going down a ribbon of highway (driven by a young Mathew Mcconaughey) passing joints and laughing their asses off as this party anthem blares forth.
❤😊 Love Foghat!!
Best rock musical "climax"!
I liked a lot of the songs u react to when I was young, like 5, 6 years old, like this song. The songs were so good they just hit you at any age and you knew, this is good stuff.
First rock concert I ever went to, Foghat, on this tour.
One of my favorite bands
'Foghat Live' was one of my first albums and still one of my favorites
This song closed out the credits to the movie "Daze and Confused", a classic Richard Linklater movie about school kids in the 70's. Featured a young Matthew McConaughey driving that classic 70's muscle car
When it was said, "I think it's speeding up", I was thinking "You have no idea. That's just the tip of the iceberg". The guitar ramping up at the end like that was perfect though, because just when you figured things couldn't get any faster, it jumps in and blows away.
Yep! A masterpiece !
The 2 times I saw Foghat in concert, they didn't do a LOT of songs, but almost every one turned into an extended jam session. Super talented musicians, and really great showmen.
Foghat was one of the go to party bands of the 70's for sure. Well shes my baby not your baby. Shes my baby!! This whole album is a banger🤟
Rod Price on slide guitar...lonsesome Dave Peverett on vocals...awesome!
