They certainly have their place in rock history. Never made it to my purchase list, but definitely made a couple of great albums with a few gems. This IS classic car Radio JAMMING rock. Perfect example.
The lead singer "Lonesome Dave" used to wear a black top hat with round mirrors on it. When the lights hit it it was the Foghat/Lighthouse. Awesome gimmick. They always kicked ass and had a funky bass player who really set them apart. Fool For The City gets my vote. THANKS Abra, you kick ass too!

I’m a SoCal kid. I saw these guys in concert in either Dec. ‘77 or Jan. ‘78 in Dothan Alabama. I was 18 and in the Army at Ft. Rucker, AL. I was surprised that those Alabama kids were rocking out. I was a naive kid to think SoCal somehow could rock out better.

Foghat! Nuttenlike em. They came out late in my hippy years and were great along with Rainbow , Black Sabbath, and Lenard Skinard.
