    @@urbanviii5103 Thats the only part of the impression that was kind of accurate lol. Not a great impersonation, but ya that was a signature of Cher's. Think you'd be hard pressed to find someone doing an impersonation that doesn't throw that in there at least once or twice.

    i've seen men in drag do better There is a Drag bar in Virginia that should be called the officer's club because most everyone who goes there are Navy Officers . i say that going by the stickers i saw on the cars in the parking lot

    Christina Applegate deserved an Emmy just for her Cher performance. So sad about her MS and retirement. Wish her the best. This was always one of my favorite skits as a kid. And first taste of ASMR.

    Chris played a woman wonderfully. He could be delicate as well as manic. I wish he could have found someone special, kick his horrible habits, and start a family. I think his desire for acceptance was rooted in his wanting to be loved- one of the most important facete of being a human being. I'll always love you, Chris.

    I'd just finished watching her on an episode of Dead to Me on Netflix, came here afterward and randomly chose this video because of chris farley in the thumbnail + nostalgia, and here she is again!     Chris Farley wore it on his sleeve and gave it 110% everyday!!!! Chris was/is so special!!! You can't even describe him! He found a way to stand out in everything he involved himself in!!! Whether Chris got 5 hours or 5 minutes he made a heck of a difference in the given piece!!!! Thank you, Chris, for the gift that is YOU!!!     Thank you for keeping this up! The original "Brad in the Lab" is my dad! Chris Farley, Christina Applegate, and Phil Hartman did such a wonderful job parodying the terrible infomercial and I share the original and SNL version all the time.

    @@teamster9413 Yes, he really is! This skit is based off an infomercial from the early 90’s that ran allllllllll the time. He is a scientist, not an actor, and was only given 1 take, so he’s part was terrible and he did come off “kind of creepy” lol

    This is the most '90s thing ever: the furniture, the fashion, the generic music, and the whole infomercial format. I was a latchkey only child with insomnia in the '90s, so I watched a loooot of infomercials, both late night and daytime. I'm getting flashbacks from this.

    "Lori, this is the compete opposite of sticky". I don't know why but I found that highly funny as hell. Christina is so good in just about everything she does. Farley's best roles were as women, not that he played a great woman, he was just funny as hell doing it (guess that's the point though, duh).

    It’s incredibly difficult to come into your first time hosting, nail someone as iconic as Cher, and lead a sketch this long. Props also to Farley for trying to sell his character as an actual woman. The comedy is less Farley in a dress, more from the idiotic nonsense she’s selling.

    Same show had first Matt Foley sketch. Christina hosted twice I think. This was her first time in the 92-93 season. She later returned when she was promoting her film with Cameron Diaz and Selma Blair.

    Christina Applegate is one of the most underrated comedic actresses ever. She was so hilarious on Married With Children and destroyed on SNL... I'm so sorry to hear about her diagnosis. And Farley, my god -- this is the same episode where Matt Foley debuted w/Christina and Spade sitting on the couch, just to show how on fire he was that week. Phil Hartman's line read at 5:29 is just solid gold too. Ah, man. Simpler times!

    I remember when Chris played Mindy Cohn of 'The Facts of Life' in one of the skits where they were former child stars that had turned to crime and were holed up at their safe house. I wish I could find that one on KZread. He was hilarious doing Mindy.

    LOL!! Kept waiting for Farley to throw himself on top of that glass table. He died only two months after my mother. She died on the night he last hosted SNL in October of 1997 right before the end of the show. Now he is forever linked to my mother in my mind. Miss them both may they RIP.
