Brian Ortega is a man of destiny. This is like those videos of bieber singing when he was 5 years old. Just when you know you were put on this earth to do one thing and to show the world your talents. Brian Ortega is the true epitome of the student becoming the master. A protege of rener gracie. A future legend. He will be the Greatest.
I hit a flying triangle in competition the day after I watched this. Thanks guys.

I remember watching this video when I first started jiu jitsu... Brian hadn’t even had his first mma fight yet, let alone the ufc. Now he’s fighting for the title soon undefeated and possibly one of the most entertaining fighters in the sport right now. Blessed to have witnessed it.
crazy, this kid's now fighting for the belt. much respect!
just hit one in comp... never tried it before, just watched this video a couple times... i'm in the heavyweight division. In the GI, i just got collar/lapel and sleeve grip and just went for it. Thanks for the vid!
One of the coolest moves I've ever seen, I might even try to practice this move and master it
“Call me. I’ll carry your weight” 😂 Classic

Hit this for the first time today! Great stuff guys, love the flying triangle now :).
Great clip, many thanks! Also, great commentary!!! Funny but not obnoxious. Keep them coming.
I finally moved to back California and I'm hoping I can get to the academy to train. But more importantly, I'm happy you're spreading the message and love on coconut water. Keep up the good work brotha
Ive been watching Gracie videos but there is no doubt Rener is the best Instructor. Great videos Rener. Naz United Kingdom
Looking forward to seeing more of Brian. One of the most dynamic fighters in MMA. Get after it T
rener has so much energy I love it haha
highly entertaining and educational. i really like the metality you guys have.
Awesome move, and i loved the finish. with a surprise with coconut drink >.< So unexpected.
That's insane. You also explain everything really clearly. Great job.
See we need more people like this guy, very energetic, straight-forward, etc,
Rener can kick my ass anytime. What a joy he is to watch. Gleeful, competent and a true teacher. Thank you.

I though it´s hard to me, in my level. But i now i gonna get do it. Thanks for your excellent class. Thanks for posting it. Ossu!!!
I gave this video a "like" because it got straight to the point within 0:23 ... Videos on KZread that get straight to the point are hard to find these days... so well done. 👏👏👏👏

But before we get to the flying triangle, let's go over the history of Flying. First there were birds.... Every youtube video today just milking it.
Haha Brian is like the kid copying everything his big brother does as he idolises him 😆 Rener has quite an overpowering presence
Já usei muti o triângulo e posso dizer que é uma das minhas técnicas preferidas! BJJ sempre! Oss!!!
@RDbushi The 10 gracies brothers names start with a R. The last is Ricon also named R10.
Good video. One further detail is to tilt your head forward , so as to touch your chin to yourchest, as you fall down. This will protect one´s skull from cracking against the ground as they alluded to. However, they did an excellent presentation. Thank you.
Haha, back in the day when Brian was still a purple belt.

Wow thank you so much great instruction, where is your gym?
I found that out the hard way. Although, in my experience, because of the surprise factor in techniques like this, I had enough time to do a breakfall (to some degree) as well as finishing the technique. Food for thought.

this video... is so cool on many levels! i love the enthusiasm !!!!! heheheheh
where can that coconut water be bought at in the southbday? i looooove cocnut water so much but hate drinking ones wit preservatives etc im so glad to finally see one thats kept natural..where can it be bought definitely gonna stock up on that:)
Billiant guys my fav video so far!!!!
what if you step across with your right leg and turn your body to the right and toss him over your hip or something? would that block the triangle?
One coconut was hilarious. Keep it real
Love the Gracies
If I lived near them that would be the gym I train at!
Muy bien explicado, saludos desde Perú Motupe.
real good lesson gnna go try it out at next practice
Dude this video is awesome!
Only thing I ask is, to complete the triangle choke you must apply pressure to the neck with both hands if you only apply it with one hand you might not get enough pressure to choke them out?
awesome vid
Rock on T-C! Keep pumpin youngblood!!!!
I am absolutely going to try this next tournament
won last jiu jitsu tourney with this move! going to gracie jiujitsu world championships at the LA convention center, deffinetly going to be looking to use this =)
I am in Paulo's class. At Gracie academy I have the same master that you had on the back wall!! Where is your academy?
he talks with passion about everything
Brian gets mad props just for having the ballz to attempt a flying triangle on Rener, amazing he pulled it off.
rener is such a underated youtuber man
I'm trying this out today!
That was awesome, funny ass ending. Rener would be a great pitchman. Awesome technique though, professionally explained.
The guy in the blue seems very talented. I wonder if he’s a black belt now.. I’m sure with innovations like that he’d do great in a fighting organization
The version on Redline's page seems to work better for me. While we are watching this 5 year old video T-city is still evolving.
Esto es lo primero bueno que enseña, el pajarraco Rener!!!!
rener is freaking awesome
i like his enthusiasm
Where is this academy? i wish they would open a gracie academy in Puerto Rico :/
Gotta luv awsome people
Wow a very young T-City, future champ
My personal thanks to Rener and Brian because I caught one of these flying triangles in an MMA fight last weekend. The best part is, I'm a Superheavyweight so It's incredibly unexpected.
lmfao The Dood cracks me up!!!! Great video!
How do you drill that?
well assuming its 1v1 and you start off duking it out like all fights start (face to face or like the start of a match)
does anyone know how much it is for a private lesson with this guy!!
Is This allowed in the with belt division
@themagicaltragic The groin isn't actually close to the mouth in the choke, your opponents mouth should be exposed if the move is done right. Your groin would actually be closer to the bad guy's armpit
Letting the student teach. Real genuine martial arts
i was trying this right now! kinda got it.
Product placement works!
Nice
From Los Angeles California BRIAN! T CITY! ORTEGA !! -Mike Buffer Voice
Coconuts have never sounded so enthralling!
This kid is going to be a star!!
Great
Does grabbing the leg really prevent the slam. Because it seems like slamming can defeat a lot of bjj in the street.
I have an opinion... You guys should talk more about other injuries involved with this technique; there's nothing between the hips and the rib-cage, but [the spine]; which can cause paralysis if someone does slam you. Some(bigger/stronger)ppl can pick you up even after you land, and break you in half. Oss
Guy in black is an amazing instructor.
The weekend's triangle choke on Yair brought me here ..Way to go T-city
crazy awesome!

wow you guys keep up the good work.
does anyone know what the easiest practical submission bjj move is (ie for a street fight)? my guess is guillotine but i no jack squat about bjj.
it deserves the PASSION it deserves the JUICE
I perform all the technique everyday and I can try different variations
it is the guillotine, even unskilled people use it, because the head kind of acts as a natural handle, and people usually want to rip your head off in a fight.
Man Rener is intense!
