Bullying Victim Learns Jiu-Jitsu in 5-Days
Спорт
12-year-old Luis was violently assaulted at Lakeland Middle School in Florida. We invited him to California for one week of Jiu-Jitsu training and this is what happened.
The Gracie Bullyproof Summer Camp is a 5-day event hosted once a year in Torrance, California and at Certified Training Centers around the world. Designed for kids ages 6 and up (no previous experience required), this camp will equip your children to deal with bullies verbally, physically and psychologically.
To find a location near you, or to save your child’s spot in this year’s camp, visit www.BullyproofSummerCamp.com
For those who cannot make it to the camp consider learning from home using our online Gracie Bullyproof program at www.gracieuniversity.com/Page...

God bless him and y’all for doin this! I was bullied as a young boy and this was so great of his parents supporting him in this. Very smart kid!
These videos always make me tear up. In 1st grade I was mercilessly beat on by a few older kids. I was never enrolled in and kind of martial arts, and I felt the psychological effects all throughout school. Not until later in life was I able to find confidence. You are really helping these kids live their best lives.

same here, i was super skinny in high school, even got picked on by a freshmen my senior year. I have 1 stripe to my white belt now at my gracie school
Take down - > side control -> double ankle sweep -> full guard -> mount -> arm bar - > full guard (again) -> rear mount (taking the back) -> RNC. That is very impressive with just 5 days of training.
I'm not crying, you are.
I shed a tear the first time I saw this story, and I did it again. I train at HQ and know many faces in the crowd watching; that pride was genuine. He picked up sooo much knowledge in only a week. Rener is the best teacher on the planet. 🔥
Brought tears to my eyes.👍
I cried like a little baby watching this ❤ what they did for this kid is amazing.
This is awesome. Empowering kids to be themselves and regain their spirit. Bullies are no one of consequence because they do not contribute positively to your life.
Wow. We need more good humans like you. 🙏
Oh Rener! Please stop tearing me up! Please know I endured bullying as a child. The WE and now the combatives program have helped me through so much in overcoming the past. I’m forever grateful of it and the CTCs I’m training in. I won’t be able to overcome that past without being in these programs (even with 2nd black belt in a diff art). Takes work to face the fear. But it’s all worth it.
It's a great thing you guys are doing Rener, it amazes me bullying still exists and no one stands up for others. Back in the 70's and 80's, I got in a lot of trouble for getting into so many fights, the teachers never cared I was standing up for others, and it makes me sad bullying is around after all these year, MAD respect for you guys at Gracie jiu jitsu!!!!
Watching such videos of bullying and random violent attacks does something to me that nothing else does, emotions wise. The helplessness of random violence victims, I cannot deal with it. What a great way to give this kid a great confidence boost for life, and look at all those amazing smiles in the class!!!
Mr Gracie I wish someone would have done this for me when I was in school. I was picked on a lot and didn’t have any friends or any way of doing anything about it. This is why I want to learn bjj. Just don’t have any money for it. Ty I really love watching all these inspirational videos

Hey Steven you can learn so much of jiujitsu from youtube, just get a few guys together couple evenings a week and watch youtube instructionals. The potential is limitless
You guys are amazing for helping kids like this.
I love these videos keep them coming lol. Martial Arts is amazing for many different reasons and im happy to see kids being taught them
I absolutely love this video! After my son who was 12 at the time was bullied at school last year, I enrolled him at my local Gracie Barra school. He is no longer afraid has confidence. He absolutely loves his BJJ family and continues to train. Thank you to all of the Gracie family for teaching this amazing skill.
Can't believe how much technique he displayed after such a short time training!
The main tip agaist bulling is the same to avoid school bullying and cyberbullying: be confident
I was a bully slayer in school. Having been put into a foster home when I was 2 years old I learned to fight fast because they put some kids in there who were bullies. When I was in school I beat up about a dozen bullies. When I saw a bully picking on a weaker kid I'd get that guy to bully me then knock him out. That was back in the 1980's so they didn't have this stuff to help me back then.

Haha nice
This is fantastic 👏 ❤. Thank you so much for doing this for this amazing young man. I have been wanting to participate in your program for years but Im disabled [dont look it]. I could do the moves but not over and over and over. So I will cheer on everyone who participates in the program from afar and thank you for helping the work be a safer place. If you create a program for disabled ppl let us know! But im not asking you too bc that would be crazy hard.
Rener is a AMAZING teacher!!
Wow amazing progress in such a very short time 😊🤙, what you did for that kid was beautiful
Great job, Gracies jiu-jitsu. For so little time.Great skills.
You guys are just awesome
Rener, you guys are such an amazing Family, I followed you ever since the first UFC when Royce became champion, but even before that I had heard your families name when I was 17 yrs old at the time ( I am 52 yrs old now ) and my 7th Dan Budokan Karate instructor told me how good your family was, thank you for being Such an Inspiration to these kids and to Millions of Dedicated martial artists👍🥋
I don’t even know him and I’m super proud of him and my eyes watered up for him too!
Really great stuff!
That’s an amazing trainer, knows when to back off but doesn’t make it too easy
Smiling the whole time watching this 😊
Man this is uplifting!! ❤❤❤
YOu got me clapping for him through a video man, you guys are such inspirations
Thank you
Man, this video really put some knots in my throat while in public. Amazing story.
training makes a big difference, i took 2 and a 1/2 years of tae kwon do year of karate and 6 months of judo, and even though i was almost always either the smallest or the youngest or both, nor started or thrown the first punch, i never lost a fight. all street fights where people thought i was a easy target, out numbered out sized, out aged, or a mix of the three. even totally demoralizing a guy twice my age and size by bitch slapping him into submission while he was trying to car jack me and take my keys. and right in front of everyone he's been bullying for years. they all thought i was weak! and the most submissive there, they have no idea. the shock in everyones faces including my best first who knew me for 6 years thought he was coming to me rescue ran 3 blocks to save me only getting there as the guy was walking away. he asked what happened. someone replied, "jason beat up the bully" priceless....
Wonderful!!!
I love every bit of it
Amazing video
God, kids learn fast! What a pro!
Beautiful video. Rener = GOAT
assistindo seus vídeos e vc realmente é um excelente professor. se pudesse fara uma aula c vc...nunca fiz JJ e gostaria muito...
OMG, I LOVE THIS!!
Amazing.
Well done this is awsome I love it
Omg! What about a class for senior citizens...After watching, senior citizens get punched in the face...with no help! Than, another getting rubbed...I want to take a week long class with you all....I was taken a Ju-jitu and Muay-Thai class...But, the instructor had to leave the state. I purchased a bag, gloves, chin guards. To practice what I have learned. Also, watching your videos as well...From SC
Pure Awesomeness!
Holy crap this was wholesome 😮👍🏼❤️
Awesome. Love it ❤❤❤
Love this
Hell yes! Well done
Fantastic.
Super video.
Hats off to the little man just remember if you can bleed so can they 😊
Awesome
In just 5 days is impressive. Although it's 15 hours intensive. That's still impressive
AMAZING 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
He will become strong, he looks like a primary school kid so young, great family.
Wow, take the back from Guard, punch block series, double ankle sweep, elbow escape from mount AND from side mount, leg hook take down, block and shrimp, armlock from Mount, RNC, etc etc etc. That's a lot of techniques to learn in only 5 days! That kid is a Prodigy! I hope he's still training.
that was so awesome
Kid certainly learnt a lot in just five days, he even tapped Rener
5 days?!😮👏👏👏
This is why it's a good idea to always train your kid into some sort of modern martial art for self defense.
That's so cool🥺❤🔥
Shows how much can be learned in a short space of time. Just saying because sometimes people see the black belts that took 17 years to get there and figure it's just too long for them. Great job and well done to Luis too.
PLEASE BRING A GRACIE SCHOOL OR 2 TO TORONTO, ONTARIO PLEASE , PLEASE 🙏🏾
Just amazing!
nice. so lovley :)
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟keep it up!!!
Nice promo

Kid is better than me after 5 days than I am after a year
Where's the sound gone??
oh my god he learned a ton!
Is it just me or is everyone’s audio cutting out at 45 seconds?

yes it cuts out, not sure if it's intentional.
Imagine Helio gracie watching the part of the video where rener lets Lewis defeat him without context and wonders where he fails as a grand master
Rener for President
I'm not crying
Audio cut out
Nice move.
😢👏👏👏👏👏
Make sure you are learning takedowns and locks. I want to train BJJ to improve my takedowns and locks. I practice Silat and Escrima since 1993. In 2008, I took up Taiji, Bagua and Xingyi. I am going to practice some blades out on my porch when the Sun hits the porch. Peace yo! Thanks for the Jiu-Jitsu. I ran a ground game on a savage I deflected his Glock and stepped in Reaped the leg and he hit powder keg stage I used my knowledge of rage stopping blades To take all the pages out of his book He was shook He got a look on his face like he was going to die in this place I master violence In silence I deal with real steel I peel back caps and intact To the max collapse fools and crew down to too Everyone brew up a good Jiu-Jitsu game With no name Everyone came up Realized the aim was to cut the violence in violent situations I stayed on vacation while they booked him down at the station I don’t like firearms and flame throwing I don’t blame you for showing your blood and cut But what about shut cases? With Aces I deface this trip criminals thick in the hood I don’t know how to mix it up in the ground fight and roll Control the Soul and get dominant position But first you close the distance and take down After you achieve position you finish with submission I know takedowns and crouching locks from Silat I need to roll a lot I need the BJJ To stay sane I train with blades I rip raw Sawed yah off It’s close call You gotta get in close Get the megadose of violence All while spread of terror Makes marriage there Don’t get scared Surgery carefully There fully pulled heat You must meet Or suffer defeat Most crews can’t compete I’m happy I learned Taiji Bagua and Xingyi All certified pay heed to the soul child Of wild style Mind profiled on the file folder To slice soldier Off Yah gotta boss and hold jack In gang attack Fold max Relax and fit it with attacks A machine gun At least summed I hummed a tune And lit the fire consumed Might see tombs
Kids a natural
This kid will be a legend if he sticks to BJJ
I hope this kid sticks with it. He’s a spider!!
It took BJ Penn 3 years. Kids are accelerating.
No add basic first aid to recognize when to stop chokes when people on street don’t know to tap out, and revive choke and some other basics and you have the perfect self defense system. All the best my friend!
It's good america have this. In our country your rich if you enter this class
Now you can be the bully lol joke's, great stuff 👍
His bully appears to know mma as well.
Real question is why is there one certified academy thats just outside London. Hard to get to 😢

@@scottr5233yes but there's no combatives classes, they actually drill distance management, and punch block series very well as also they use context like if the attacker or if the bully, where's other schools you just roll from day 1, Gjj school gives you street from understanding from day 1 how to handle a untrained unpredictable attacker.
Life isn't governed by tournament or Marquis de Queensbury rules. Remember to "cheat" and win.
First time I see a pink belt.
This is so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. God Bless you @graciebreakdown
damn.. a little kid beat him up.. washed.
His father is a disgrace! Son don't know how to protect himself in this cruel world 🌍? 😢

Unfortunately most fathers don't know how to fight; they can't pass on a skill that they don't have. This is why we have Gracie University

Ridiculous comments about father. Not everyone is a fighter. I sent my son to JJJ, later to BJJ and Shinkiokushin. After almost 4 years of practice he can defend himself (starting from 4 years old). BTW 5 days is ok to learn technical stand-up and maybe breakfall (if very gifted) 😅
