FLYING DURING THE PANDEMIC 26+ HOURS (Our Experience)

Curious to know what flying during a global pandemic is like?
We flew 26+ hours from Australia to the US and vlogged the entire journey home.
While this trip home wasn't exactly what we had always imagined it would look like, it was still a memorable one. It could be our last travel day vlog for a little while, so enjoy!

About Us:
We’re Jenny and Logan, American Millennials with a passion for traveling and eating delicious food from all around the world. Our love for travel started in the UK where we lived and worked for a while, traveling to different European cities almost every weekend. So when we went back to our “normal” lives in the US, we knew we weren’t ready to settle down. This motivated us to plan a trip around the world and then a year in Australia. We decided to give this vlogging thing a shot and have really enjoyed sharing our travel journey. Who knows where we’ll end up next, so be sure to follow along to find out! :)

I'm from Melbourne, and I only discovered your videos a couple of days ago. So I've been binge-watching every chance I get. I think the two of you must be one of the nicest American couples ever! So proud that you enjoyed your stay in Australia, and I think it is so sad you've had to cut your travel experience short. I have to say well done for being so responsible on your trip back to the States, wearing masks, being so conscious of hygiene, and then voluntarily going into quarantine when you arrived in Charleston. It's now August, and COVID cases are still rampant in the USA. Please stay healthy, and I hope we see an update video from you again soon.

Kind of private island, people there were very pleased to have us, once their economic is only tourism. Swim with sharks and mantas, hang out with sea lions and befriend a giant tortoise 🐢🐟🐋❤️ Travel safe, respect the social distance, country rules and enjoyyyyy!!!! 😎

I love travelling and one of the things I like is the hustle and bustle of big international airports. It would be surreal to be travelling like this with near empty airports and planes. I had to take my niece to the Perth airport a few weeks ago to catch a flight to Adelaide and there was only two cars in the pick up and drop off zone. One of those was a security guards car.

We'd assume things were filtered on the plane but we're not experts so can't say exactly what precautions they've taken. Either way everything felt very clean and that United was making an effort. Best to check United's website and the latest news to get confirmation on what they've been doing to manage Covid. Overall we felt safe while flying so as long as you have your mask, hand sanitizer and some wipes you should be fine!

Hi Guys, if you are worried about missing Flat Whites in the US, I suggest you buy your own home expresso machine. It will pay for itself in no time and you can make your own flat whites, or anything else, just the way you like them. My wife and I are coffee addicts and a shot of top quality coffee costs 50 cents instead of $5 in a coffee shop. We have a Breville Barista Express and we love the coffee we make on it so much that we won’t drink coffee in coffee shops anymore. Cheers

Two Traveling Kings The great thing about an expresso machine is that you can adjust the flavor of the coffee to your liking. You can adjust the grind amount, the coarseness/fineness and the pressure .....all of which affect the flavor as well as the quality of the beans themselves. Here’s a tip I picked up from James Hoffman (the David Attenborough of coffee) on you tube....he has a HUGE following. Add a pinch of salt to each cup....takes away any bitterness. Sounds strange but it works...try it at least once. We are a ten cup per day couple. In Brisbane a cup of coffee costs $5...the same coffee at home costs 50 cents. I keep urging my wife to drink up cos the more we drink the more we save. 😀

But to all you American folk who are planning to visit Australia, you’ll no doubt soon become aware of some of the vocabulary differences between our two countries. But PLEASE be careful with one word in particular! At 4:25, a fanny pack is mentioned. In Australia a “fanny” has an entirely DIFFERENT meaning to what it does in the USA!!! It is actually a slang/colloquial term for the female genitalia 🤭🙄 So be very careful!!
