although he really rates Canelo. Always says good things about him. Wants in for the TMT lol. Floyd never really gets the credit he is due so I think he resents fighters who haven't achieved what he has getting more praise. He also rate Errol Spence and Crawford. He is more respectful now though more of a likeable character.

Ward is a great fighter but Kovalev beat him when Kovalev wasn't even in the best shape physically OR mentally. The second fight should not have even happened. Should have been a wide unanimous decision win for Kovalev and then he should have moved on from there.

@ RJ Dodgerz, I've always thought Canelo has a great chance in this fight as well. Canelo has faster hands than people give him credit for and GGG has proven that he can be hit. Plus the only fighters that have given Canelo problem are the ones that: 1) have faster hands than him 2) move a lot 3) stick to a game plan by continuing to move. GGG is a come forward fighter with little head movement

This interview makes me want to hear Mayweather commentate on boxing more. He knows his shit.

Floyd is right. Virgil is just a rent a trainer. He is more of a motivator than a teacher. Ex probation counselor never been in a ring. Notice how Virgil dont have anybody but Ward? And other guys who switch to Virgil like Khan, Angulo and even Berto end up getting beatup bad. Khan almost died and Angulo was brain damaged after the Canelo fight. Virgil is not a good trainer. He not a bad trainer but in such a serious sport with a mans health on the line Virgil aint the guy to take you to the battle. And I heard dude be wanting like 20% of the fighters purse. 🤔

I agree with him on Kovalev beating Ward, but Virgil is a good trainer.

Terrance Bryant you’re the only stupid one to think it can’t happen sooner than that. They’re both going to be 30! Next year the fight won’t be interesting if they fight at the age of 34 or 35. Floyd was 30 when he fought De La Hoya. And some pundits said that wasn’t the best de la Hoya and he was washed cuz he was 34! He only fought 2 more times after that (Forbes and Pacquiao) and got his ass kicked at 35 to a 30yr old Pac-Man.

Ramon Turner Virgil isn't a great trainer, he just has one special fighter. his corner work and tactics in the corner for Khan, Angulo, etc...were horrendous.
