Today we loaded up the Cirrus SR22 with fishing gear and departed South VFR for Cedar Key, Florida. Cedar Key Runway is 2302' and is attributed for being the shortest paved runway in the entire state! This runway boasts a real challenge for any pilot due to it's short length and strong winds. Follow along and see if we can conquer Cedar Key.
Today’s upload is in honor of the Wright brothers who 120 years ago today, set into motion a completely new way of seeing the world.

Great video! I always love flying into CDK. My first flight there was in '85, after getting my ticket at GNV, and the field looked a little bit different than it does today 😉. No fence or gate, and the parallel road was just a few feet from the rugged runway. It was not uncommon to see a car joyriding on the runway. A local named Judy would monitor unicom and drive out in an old school Checker cab to taxi us into town. Like yours, my last approach there a couple years ago was to runway 5 with a strong Northerly wind that also blew out the tide. Some craaazy turbulence from those trees right at the numbers! Based at SPG now. Keep the vids coming!

You know there's a balance between efficiency and clarity for radiotelephony. You're very smooth and efficient, but maybe just a bit too much and you lose some clarity. I'd slow down your speech on the radio just a tad and also make an effort to pronounce everything more clearly. Just a suggestion.

Great video, but me see a few concerning mistakes. For example, when you start engine, you didnt say clear prop 5 seconds before starting it. You did not do this properly. There are 50 accidents a month related to this! I also saw a flaw in your run up. You a young boy, and of course you have a lot of growing to do. I wish you a merry and safe 2024.

I find your comment towards Andrew to be very condescending. Have you ever thought about how your comment may affect Andrew. Imagine your comment makes him worry about his flaw in the run up and he crashes the plane cause he’s distracted about getting it perfect so you don’t terrorize him in the comments again. Very childish Jerry. Grow some nuts and go touch some grass of instead watching airplane videos in your basement.
