If you consider the circumstances, bland green room, probably only technicians in masks and cameras in various angles, no immediate audience feedback, after midnight, Floor's operation, no Marco, no real stage test runs... what a team performance and Floor given dedication, in the second show even more liberated and relaxed, my greatest respect. It was a pleasure to experience this festival for the ears and eyes.

5 months ago I started listening to Floor Jansen sing. It has been an everyday thing for me. It´s crazy to say this but every day during those 5 months Floor made me tear up several times each day. Goosebumps as well .. I never came across someone that could do that to me. I didn´t even know it was a thing.. She is such a beautiful gift to this world :)

I "found" her in 1997 - and she still surprises me. She has evolved into the super league of singers - and still it is 100% pure Floor. She is even more emotional and passionate powerful now, than she was a decade or two ago, even though she wrote some pretty strong songs back then. She is phenomenal

In one of the videos on her YT channel, Floor told that she is a hyper sensitive person ( see e.g. www.healthline.com/health/mental-health/what-its-like-highly-sensitive-person-hsp ), which is one of the reasons she can sense & convey emotions so well.

Same here, about 5 mounth ago I started listening her.

Pretty sure that's not a wind machine but the power of her voice creating a tornado in the room

I love how many times we had a repeat of “reaching for divinityyyy” “Euphoooriaaa” 💕 How amazing are the Beste Zangers back up singers with Floor!

You were wondering about how they pulled this off and I have one word on how they do it: clicktrack. She and the band settled on the arrangement remotely, then created a clicktrack (most likely with a guidetrack of piano for her) to which she then records her vocals. Those vocals and clicktrack are then played back to the band in the tv studio during their performance and presto, the two of them 'magically' fit with each other. She is very used to singing along a clicktrack because Nightwish uses it all the time as the band makes extensive use of backing tracks (the orchestra and choir parts mostly) live.

Loreen's original is one of the most famous Eurovision winners. It was a big hit back then and receive some airplay here even today. Actually i like it quite a lot. But Floor is always Floor...🌹. She was top form also on recent Nightwish's virtual shows. They even did "Shoemaker" flawlessly, although Floor said earlier, that it is way too difficult to perform live. Well, that's the spirit! 😅👍

@@schout33 I have a relatively good memory (yet 😵) and have red lots of interviews and comments about Floor and NW. I think it was one of her live chats or something about a year ago. Could be wrong, but anyway now we all know better.

@@pekkakarppinen1608 Yes, it was in her live instagram q&a video where someone asked if Shoemaker is going to be live and she said probably not because it is so difficult. Then she continued by saying that if it will be highly requested then they (the band) have to think about maybe doing it. And I’m so glad they did it was just amazing live!

The sound engineers of "Beste Zangers" are also very, very good. That always stands out. That's why Floor's voice sounds even more heavenly.

BTW you look good with that dress and necklace, always classy.

I always say that in the part "reaching for divinityyyy yyyyy yyyyyyyy" is a literal scene, she is just reaching divinity, getting in the heavens and leaving earth...

Her stage presence is amazing. She is the total performer and watching her adds an amazing aspect. That took commitment and tons of hardwork to bring her talents to this amazing level. I think she owns whatever cover she does.

On the evidence of this and the two recent virtual shows, she has somehow gotten even better over the last year and a half 🔥🤘🏻

Her gallbladder was remowed in Joensuu hospital Finland. She had allready come to Finland for Virtual Show training. But the ability to two full lenght concert - and partly do Markos job also in virtual worldwide concert as convalescent... pheww! This is recordet in their home studio in Sweden b4 surgery... After surgery Emppu (guitarist of the band) gave he new nickname "Stonehenge"...

Hey so glad you reacted to this, I love your reactions and insight. Floor is so amazing, she just completed 2 virtual show for Nightwish. She completely slayed her roles in all her songs including Shoemaker, which you reacted to. Marko was not there so she had to adjust her vocals in some songs and even sing Marko's part in some, she was completely excellent and the shows killed. Troy helped to cover where he could and also did well, but you know how powerful Marko's vocals are, she is just a vocal beast and force of nature.

Always enjoy your videos and whenever you react to Floor is just a special treat. I love her musicality, talent and skill and though I myself couldn’t carry a tone if my life depended on it, nor do I have a wish to learn personally, it brings me great joy still to learn more about how the singers I love do what they do. Thank you for what YOU do too! Great video!

Christi , Floor took that band out with her on Tour about year and half ago , there are some decent videos of it on you tube ....standouts are " Slow Love" a loungey blues song which Floor kills and " sweet curse" a revamp ( her old band) song where she duets with Henke Poorte killer performance.

There was a plan to record the last and biggest show on Floor's terms. In no time by crowdfunding the money needed for it was raised among the fanbase ... Corona spoiled realisation of it. There is so much to say but Floor was amazed by the fans and the fast effective fan reactions. Special, very special. She feels blessed, we feel blessed.

I don’t want to put the other singer down because I am sure they are amazing, but Floor is clearly in another level. I kind of know Rolf because I watched the season where Floor was a guest, and because I leave in Florida where Salsa music is everywhere. But unfortunately, I don’t recognize non of the other singers. I think that this show was quite popular in the Netherlands but Floor gave the show a tremendous boost in popularity that now is a global phenomenon watched by millions outside the home country. That’s how good and amazing she is!

Most of the other singers (any season) are very much worth it to be checked out as well but Floor (and that 2019 season) was like the mount Olympus of vocals, so freaking good. And Rolf... omg, i adore that guy, has the best smile, best reactions, is a great singer, and entertainer as well, thnx to the show he's now scoring hits in the Netherlands as well (he too wasnt a household name there)

That song done this way with still-recovering tissues in one's midsection is ... just ... beyond. Her musicality and creative genius put her in a league all her own. Her stamina and power are humbling. I was floored (sorry, had to) when I saw it the first time, and agog at how she was able to sing this way whilst so soon after surgery. At ANY time this quality of performance will be absolutely amazing. Knowing what this kind of surgery (and the crisis that leads TO the surgery) entails internally to the varied tissues involved, I'm just ... speechless.

Hi Christi. I couldn't watch had to work at 7. Floor is awesome. Lookin Beautiful. The virtual tour was awesome on both days. She over did it and had to calm back down

I wondered the same, it's surprising how well they blended her recording with the live band. Always great mixing the Beste Zangers show.

I had my gall bladder removed with a minimally invasive surgery with four tiny holes, and was up and about on the next day already. No heavy lifting for a couple of weeks but didn't really feel it in my guts (apart from the pains being finally gone!) Plus our daughter was 9 months old at the time so I didn't really have any choice to not be up and about 🤪 And I didn't have pancreas infection. So I felt recovered pretty quickly.

Floor is simply unique to me. i love their singing and their charisma.

Floor is amazing singing everything and I’m loving your reactions because you really dissect the music. I’m a surgeon. Pancreatitis is an inflammation of pancreas that could be very serious but to be operated to the gallbladder immediately it should be light. So in a few days completely without pain. About the surgery itself, the purpose is laparoscopic surgery is precisely to recover faster, so, in a few days patients are completely capable of returning to normal life. Obviously it depends of the patient and it help Floor is in such good condition.

The original conveys vulnerability, desperation and longing. Floor's is all about confidence, power and celebration. Music such a wonderful thing, the same notes can make you feel so decisively different in a different context 🎼🎵🎶🎆

You need to watch Floor Jansen singing Dangerous Game with Henk Poort appeared 6/11/21 the best of course.

Also is how much she impresses the other singers on the couches. Not sure if they have all heard Floor sing beforehand, maybe those from other seasons of the show did some homework and listened to her performances. Look for Kroos ? Singing power of love to Maan from an earlier season think 2016. She is an opera singer, singing a pop song, and really at one point opening up into the full opera sound.

I think I've suggested before, but I would love a reaction to JP Leppäluoto. He's a singer from Finland with a unique (to me, at least) baritone voice. The two best-quality live videos of him performing are "Mombasa" and a metal version of "Petteri Punakuono" (the Finnish version of "Rudolph The Red-nosed Reindeer"), but his songs "Kuoppa" or "Piilevää Piimeää" are beautiful too.

Imagine being an artist and hearing that Floor is covering your song... At first joy, excitement... feeling flattered. Then sudden apprehension knowing Floor is going to take and crush what was with her interpretation forever altering what people listen to... for we all know that means Floor's version... Damn.

She begins nice and calm, and you think hmmm.. nice, and then, boom! You end up blown away, and wonders what hit you. Then you realise it was floor with a tiny little nightwish - touch on a great song.

This was a special episode of 'Beste Zangers' to celebrate Eurovision as The Netherlands organized it this year because they won the last contest in 2019 with Duncan Lawrence (2020 was cancelled for obvious reasons). Floor stated later that she did a bit to much during recovery and that she had to take it a little bit easier in sight of the two digital shows of last friday and saturday. She always wants to go 100%+ but even a goddess has her limits.

1 reaction channel singer named Anastasia Luna did say she has seen Floor sing such amount that nowadays she thinks what would Floor do or how she would sing certain parts. I think Floor has given many young woman singer's very good example. And they have good icon to follow. She is so down to Earth and doesn't feel like she is above other's. No Diva qualities. As someone who had Laparoscopic surgery to remove my gallbladder, I can say that it was easily 2 weeks before I could move and breathe without considerable pain. I am not certain what Floor's recovery time had been prior to the taping of this episode. Knowing this makes the performance all the more incredible.

It looks like the band is playing to a click track. It makes sense, they sent the file to Floor, she recorded her song on top of it and sent it back. And then the band can play it live in the studio using the click track.

Floor looks & sounds like a Valkyrie. Even if she isn't actually a Viking Angel masquerading as a mortal, she definitely has the unmistakable soul of a Valkyrie & it comes out when she preforms.

Between her photos and this rendition of the song you can clearly see she lost weight due to her surgery. I am pretty sure this is post surgery. I mean chronologically it makes sense. She couldn't know that she wouldn't be able to attend in order to prerecord it unless she knew about the surgery which she did immediately. And yes it is as impressive as it can get. But the 2 shows are what is the most impressive considering she was singing to the max for almost 4 hours in 2 days....

I have to say it with all respect and delight. You are a gorgeous looking woman.

You should try the Swedish version of Beste zangers, Så mycket bättre. Basically the same theme, but slightly different. Also with a superb band. Loreen was on last season... The new season is being recorded on my island now. 😎
