Evey last item on that list affects the earth, just you are comfortable with that effect because it personally benefits you. It's okay, everybody has to be indifferent to the harm their lives cause, it's just then pointing the finger at others. How can something that comes out the clouds with the rain be permanent? You know how it works? Particles called condensation nuclei act as a way for water to form out of the air and form a raindrop. Those particles then fall with the rain. So, no it is not permanent. How hard do you think it is, when I know you have access to the internet, to find this stuff out? I'm not smart, but I was still able to do your work for you. PErrsonally I would be embarassed

I lived in Saudi Arabia for 3 years and traveled throughout the area. Drainage is not a big thing there. There is a lot more rain than you would think along the coast and all the streets turn into canals.

It was a real storm as in hawaii or Europe … when they cloud seed you can feel it I believe by now. before this it’s heavier to breathe - it is a very muggy air and also after it never feels really clear but just wet. This air NOW was so purified in between when the clouds disappear. Thunder and lightning came back between four and six times. But the air was refreshing like a real storm. Same as in Europe. You could feel the difference. Also The air was much much more cool. Cloud seeding just brings rain down.

They need to ask the UK what's the formula!

When messing with mother nature messes you back

Live with much rain all the time Britain the extended down pours are getting that frequent people are now growing gills.

Need explaination from RTA / Dubai Municipality, Police why Total breakdown collapsed on the major roads?? Why RTA and Municipality were not seen anywhere? Why water is not pumped in on main roads. Would insurance settle this loss of billions of dirhams? Request investigation and accountability of those responsible for this disaster management failure!? We love Dubai and it will be back on its feet soon!!

The city legitimately can deny - simply because the city would not have been informed by the military whom carry out these nefarious projects. It’s a clever use of words to simply manipulate the publics perception. In not doing due diligence in your journalism you are willingly corroborating in the down fall of your children’s/grandchildren…..future - on so many levels on so many other deeply concerning topics too! If the claim that’s it’s the climate CRISIS! then this certainly would not be the first in 75/9 yrs as suggested!, they would be happening more often.

With all of the high rise building and limited sewer/storm water drainage, the floodwaters in the streets would like walking in a cesspool of human waste!

Dubai or not Dubai, that is the question. Splish splash water is good. Should have a few reservoirs ready...spend more on your people and not on weapons seams sensible.

Lack of effective storm drains, in an area where they know short storms are the normal rather than steady prolonged rain. FAILURE to cloud-seed this expected high-rainfall storm, BEFORE it reached the catchment areas of conurbations, might need to be looked at?

My God i was mad that my flight was canceled.thank you it did otherwise i would be stranded in Dubai. Sorry guys sad.

They don't have the drainage capacity to deal with this. Invest in better drainage, not like you don't have the money.

I'm thinking that there has been an overbuilding on the the infrastructure. Too much concrete and asphalt, not enough soil to absorb the water. Poor drainage. Another thing, leave the clouds alone ,rainfall is supernatural.

its not cloud seeding, cant be cloud seeding. cloud seeding can make some rain fall from clouds on the day of the seeding, yes, but this much water in the clouds, would have fell anyways. This is from AGW and was predicted for them to have increased floods. Their big problem wasnt listening and building drainage.

The Sahara desert from west Africa across the middle east had lush tropical forests and lakes many times in the past, science is speeding up the process.

I'm kind of guessing that even though this was an unprecedented weather event, Dubai does NOT have a STORM DRAIN SYSTEM, which you will find in singapore, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur etc. I was in Dubai in early 1981, when they had intense storms/rain. Since then, with all the building, plus hard ground, plus very little grass/soft ground to absorb rainfall, the situation has not got better. Oman, along the coast and facing the Arabian Sea has mountains right behind Muscat, in which there are dry river valleys. When they have severe weather events, the water can be 5-8 metres high, coming down the river beds at amazing speeds. Instead of building glitzy apartments/shopping malls, Dubai needs to improve their drainage/pumping infrastructure.
