I agree. It seems like they were practicing for something more when they introduced super powers in SR games, and as you said, that element combined with all the inside jokes, slapstick and exaggerated EVERYTHING, it became it's own entity in AOM

Mayhem looks fun. I still think Volition must be planning a lot more with the real Saints Row Name. Koch media paid over 22 million I think. I would also like to see them buy the rights back to the FreeSpace franchise.

Only in Seoul, but they've already said there was going to be a sequel, perhaps that will take place in a different city.

This being a part of the saints row verse is fine; remember, Red Faction took place in the same universe as Saints Row 1 and 2 as well, and SR2's DLC storyline had some Red Faction easter eggs in it. (Earth being gone at this point though, might've retconned that however.... but then, wtf planet is this one?)

richard krebs Yea, that's an unfortunate thing. I guess that's why they could get away with blowing up the world in SR4, but then, do we know what world this IP is taking place on? Hell, they're not really paying attention to continuity anyway I'm betting. I did like the idea of SR being tied to Red Faction, and I hope this will be just as good, expanding the lore of the SR universe in an intriquing but more or less harmless manner.

According to a writer, I believe this is set in a continuity where the Saints Street gang never happened. That's why Brimstone chose the purple Fleur as the symbol, because no one else was using it.

They included time travel at the end of SR4, shit can go nuts. If anything, I think it's best to call it the Volition Multiverse instead of the Saints Row universe, makes a little bit more sense.

Hi flippy! Love your content. I always love seeing a new post by you. This game looks good I guess. I want a sr5 more tho.They better return to the gangster style if they do a fifth one.

This'll be interesting. Doesn't really boast my excitement, but I'll definitely be looking forward to a demo gameplay to get a better idea of this.

In the saints row AMA, a couple of people asked if there would be a saints row 2 remastered. Their answer was a remastered version is long overdue.

I like to think that AOM is a wacky spin off like far cry blood dragon. And SR is going to get a major reboot. So there will be two games with relations Agents of Mayhem Saints Row (The grounded version) That would make everyone happy.

But hold up, what happened to the alien race that your character took after killing the king (you can tell it's been a good minute since I touched a sr game)

I'm pretty happy to see this isn't SR5. I'm not sure what they could do with the series after the Choose Your Own Adventure ending of Gat out of Hell.

My dreams have been crushed and my worst fears for the franchise have been realized.

With the stuff that I looked up about this game it seems like the saints don't exist anymore and brimstone uses the saints logo and the agents are kinda like the saints row 4 type saints but Johnny may be like the head of police if some of the saints return

I hope they do split the series up like that and have Sr5 as the gang on gang thing like Sr1 & Sr2 days for us old school fans!

Being a huge Saints Row fan, I'm not sure what to think. I was hoping for Saints Row V news this E3 but this came out of nowhere. It is great that they're trying something new. I can imagine working on the same series can be tiring. The fact that it's in the Saints Row universe is really interesting and I would like to see how that works. Plus some news from a new series is better than no news. Great video, keep up the great work, Flippy!

Fl1ppy, remember that most of the time the canon endings to the most recent saints row games have been an amalgamation of the two i.e. SR3's endings which in Saints Row 4 turned out to be an amalgamation of each other just Shaundi wasn't dead. So, if I had to guess what ending was canon for Gat out of Hell, I'd have to say both the Retcon ending and The All Knowledge in the universe which would explain why there is a very alienesque feel to the enemies as the information Gat received at the end of GOOH which would mean He knows of other alien races. Note: That the main antagonist looks human but could easily be an alien with human features.

Hey Flippy, I was wondering if you ever saw this article www.pcgamer.com/saints-row-4-considered-end-of-that-saga-future-games-to-go-in-different-direction/ but it seems as if Saints Row 4 is really the last game in the series. In Red Faction, the main antagonist is in fact Ultor Corps, in SR2: Ultor Exposed theres a cutscene including a npc talking about how Ultor plans to create space technology and how they plan to fly to mars in the future. Ultor in Red Faction in fact deals with technology while on Mars. Red Faction takes place approximately 60 to 70 years after saints row. Now Agents of Mayhem includes a character called Brimstone, Brimstone was mentioned at the end of Gat out of Hell. Agents of Mayhem according to the wiki is set right after the GOOH ending that includes God rebuilding the earth and retcon the saints. I hoped the saints row games wouldn't have ended with all this futuristic fuckshit but unfortunately it did. Hopefully you might make a vid on it to show everyone else.

It's coming up to the 10th Anniversary of the SR Series, this looks good..But a announcement of SR5 on the Anniversary in August would have everyone marking tf out.

Oh I would absolutely love to get the Saints Row 3 we all deserve with the perfect batshit crazy/seriousness balance that Saints Row 2 had, completing the storyline or expanding it with a great story... Although that will probably never happen. I Can't really say anything about this as it's not even an in game footage, but I like its cartoony style. The ending is interesting though, seems to be some sort of a sequel to Saints Row, or perhaps a rebooted Saints Row.

Volition expects to make a ton of money off this, and they aren't really going to. I just want to say right now, that Volition is better off remaking all their old games with new physics, better graphics, and new gameplay mechanics. I like old Saints Row, just like everyone else. Imagine Saints Row 1 gets a remake with... are you ready? A PC port. Volition will really win our hearts back if they actually do that.

In saints row Gat Out of Hell, a possible Ending says that the world is recreated, but the saints Are non Existant. But nothing is said about Previous Gangs, So.... Saints row V (Before the Events of AoM): After Previous Gangs are on the rise, Brimstone hunts down all the saints members and Tries to Make a guild to Take down the Gangs. After Realising what's happening, the Boss comes back to HQ, to find a Tablet with Video of the 3rd Street Saints. The Gang is Reformed, a Massive Gang War, Multiple Special Enemies and Helpers Return (Fun & Future Shaundi, Santa Clawz, Angel and Oleg) and Yeah.

I believe they confirmed that AoM is set in a universe where the Saints gang never happened and Brimstone just kinda thought the symbol was nice. which would imply that Ultor still became a major power but possibly could have succeeded in their plans in Saints Row 2 somehow.

I can definitely see "Hollywood " as being the reincarnation of "The Boss" from the original SR, absolutely!!! Especially since Volition reps have stated that "Hollywood " will be the "face" of AOM

DUDE CHILLHOP MY FAM, I LOVE YOU FLIPPY! And this does actually look kinda cool. Like I said, SR3 and 4 are fun games, just are not good as sequels to the first 2. And since this doesn't count as one I'm REALLY REALLY HOPING THAT 5 WILL BE DIFFERENT, and also that this will a good game too. It's a shome there'll be some SR elements missing, like creating your own character in AoM but it still looks fun, we'll see. Still as for getting 5 back into "reality" so to say, IDK how exactly they could do it after 3 and 4? Ah well, we'll just find out now, won't we?

Not sure about the ending if it is the "Retcon" ending which makes the most sense currently, why would Ms. Brimstone mention a street gang kinda referring to the saints where in this world they never existed? But for the "New Planet ending" that doesn't really make sense either, as this world has all the same countries and Earth and- I'm over thinking this a lot...

Borderlands and Saints Row just had a crack baby and I love it

I would try to make a new Saints Row 2 save on Insanity Mode (Evil Cars, Low Gravity, Super Explosions cheats in Hardcore, cheats must be activated when you load your save though - other cheats not allowed), but the best of legendary gamers would succeed, and I am talking about SR2 and this game (if they add cheats from SR, that would be cool).
