Totally agree with what you are saying about campaigns and missions Rod. I also feel that a lot of the modules have been forgotten in that department too.

Nice video Rod! The Crusader is looking mighty fine! The last gunfighter is what they say about that jet. We will see. I’ve purchased many campaigns and haven’t finished a lot of them, especially the WW2 stuff. I bought the P47 one and can’t even get the damn thing off the ground because I can’t taxi it! So fully agree with you, which you know. When I 1st got into flight sims & Falcon 4 came out, I loved the realism. Couldn’t get enough of it. As I got older though I just don’t want all of it all the time. Yeah it’s super cool but if you can’t spend the time learning it all, it would be nice to have the ability to turn stuff off. Same with the campaigns. Make it where you don’t have to have the carrier traps or refueling etc. Can be optional. Anyway, great video!

Thanks man! That's how I feel about every campaign I have purchased separately too.

You're pretty much spot on regarding campaigns. I'd also prefer to have more straight forward stuff, with much less head scratching involved. IMHO, that should raise the fun factor while lowering the chore factor. And trigger zones should be set a bit larger. On some missions I've flown, they seems to be very tight. As for the CASE III recovery, I wish someone would include a training mission to the F-14/F-18 modules.

I can't speak from personal experience, but I believe that (ease of entry) was part of the intent of the Rising Squal campaing for the Hornet. Would be interesting to see how well that campaign did sales wise. I personally love the 'real ops' of allot of these campaigns, but totally understand the desire to tone it down sometimes and just jump in without having to go to ground school first. More 'difficulty' options would be a nice touch. I wonder how hard it would be for folks like Reflected to build their campaigns at their intended level and then do a second pass low-fi option

There really is a lot of info on the IAR-80/81 available, a couple of great books in English plus more resources and examples in Romanian. It was a good plane for the time and a lot of Romanian national pride goes with it to this day.

Wish someone would do campaigns for the "lesser-loved" aircraft like the I-16, but along your suggestion: quick 20-30 minute, air-start, no-comms, good visibility, blah-blah

I would love to pre-order the F4U-1D, but the DCS regional pricing on Steam has gone haywire. DLC are now most expensive in my country's currency (a poor country). We are paying 30% higher prices than US for example. Not fair, so I'm not buying any DCS modules anymore.
