OMG am I glad to see a Mosquito coming to IL-2. I can't afford the one in DCS World, because regional pricing on Steam (where I prefer to play) is horribly distorted and we pay 40% more in dollar-equivalent price in my local currency for DLC. I live in a poor country, so Eagle Dynamics price discrimination hits us very hard. IL-2 prices are 10% lower for us on Steam, more fair.

Why use steam then? You can download DCS from the ED website and download/buy dlc straight from there and not from steam. Unless it’s applied to all platforms.

@@zooweemama911 The major reason is (1) the *convenience* of Steam, as it keeps the game updated. (2) *download speed* on Steam always at max for me, whereas it varies on ED website, often painfully slow. (3) If you buy on Steam, you can also activate on ED store ie *2-for-1* whereas if you buy on ED store, you cannot activate on Steam. Lastly (4), prices on Steam *used to be more favourable* in my currency (compared to the ED webstore) up until mid-2020 and then made a massive jump in Jul 2020. Someone at ED completely miscalculated the currencies and haven't corrected it in over a year. I have *built my whole library on Steam over the years* and would like to continue there, so hopefully they correct the situation soon.

I'm not so sure its not going to be a simulation. They say in their announcement in part, "the research support from the 100th Bomb Group Foundation key historians has enabled a level of authenticity not normally seen in simulation games today." It sounds like this may be more of a simulation than the norm. Let's hope so!

One of the beauties of it being a Game rather than a Sim is we won't likely need a freaking Super Computer to run it ! PS> I'd much rather have a Longbow than an Apache.

just so it keeps being said.... dark grays (( mudhens are NOT the same as air superiority eagles )) we need a full-up DCS-level F-15C
