That came out perfect. Your attention to detail is spot on. Love the clock ticking in the intro. I repaired quite a few in my past life. Thanks for the video.

Love this design. You have inspired me to make a version 2.0 of my saddle/carriage stop. Nicely done. Your anodizing turned out great too. Thanks for sharing.

I just made one of these stops last night after watching this video, it took me 3 attempts but I was finally successful.

It is indeed somewhat difficult to make but worth it when done. Congrats!

@@TheMiniMachineShop this wasn't my first attempt, I tried to make a carriage stop 2 years ago and it didn't work out so well, I made 10 attempts, and none of them worked. When you posted your video I decided to try to make the part again. I guess I just needed to practice for a while learn a little bit and use the correct tooling.

G'day Dave. Excellent job working it all out, & making the Carraige Stop. The stops definitely need Alan key to tighten it down properly. The only suggestion I would add is to recess the Alan Key head into the top of the unit for safety purpose . Still very meticulous Job, well done 👏 ✔️ 👍🏻 👌 😀 Ted

Hi Ted, I did make the brass knob to tighten, and it works great. The only problem now is I need pliers to loosen the knob! Even tried anti-seize.
