    Greetings, enjoyed your vlog on your new RT Limited. Last year we purchased a pre-owned 2014 RT Limited from a private seller, with low kms. Overall, really enjoying it. We also had a problem with the seat lifting up, when it was time to add fuel. Mentioned this at the dealership when we were in for a oil change and they replaced the latch spring, which was stretched. Luckily now the problem is solved, :-). Thanks for sharing. Safe Travels.

    I purchased a 2019 F3T with 2 miles on it, a little more than a month ago. I had them also place the top bin, built-in back-rest, and additional two speakers. I already have 1,100 miles on my baby, and I'm pleased with every aspect of my Spyder. I have rode motorcycles since I was 11 years old, and I'm now 58. My son rides a Suzuki GXR and he can't lose me in the corners. Because I grew up on motorcycles, snow mobiles and just outside fun. When I take corners, like a corner going to the left, I push heavy on my right leg and lean just like a snowmobile. If you want to see a major difference in how you can take corners, give it a go, because I'm sure you won't be disappointed! Sorry about your paint job, I better take a closer look at mine because I clean mine at the carwash, even using the brush that's provided. I haven't noticed any problems but now I'm going to take a closer look. Again a 2019 F3T with all the extras including the top bin, with built-in backrest, and extra two speakers is awesome!! I've read where people state they can only hear their music up to about 50mph. I hope these people understand you go under your settings and you can change the settings on the music amplifier. I can drive at 70mph and still hear my music with no problem. People need to play around with their Can Am and figure out all the different things they can do. Playing around with the settings won't kill the Spyder, lol! I have an issue that when I go to hit my signal, on a few occasions I have hit the horn. If you're in Missouri go to Pitbull Powersports to check out a Can Am, they have three locations. No I don't work for them, nor am I getting paid to mention them in this write-up, I wish I was. It's just that they treated me so well and went above and beyond to sell me my Can-Am Spyder!!!

    That's what I really like about the Spider. It's a street snowmobile. At 63, my body is done sledding and lugging my Goldwing around.. This scratches both itches. I had to get used to speed though. This thing cruises at insane speeds compared to a snowmobile. Easy to get in over your head.

    @@dannysdailys enjoy and be safe. Missouri just got rid of the helmet law. When I'm cruising around our town I don't wear my helmet but when I get on the freeway the helmet is on. I grew up in Colorado and when I was a kid we never had a helmet law When I went and took my motorcycle test I didn't even wear a helmet. So I'm not saying that helmets aren't important because they truly are! However when I'm in town I just like feeling the breeze on my face.

    Good points and well done, will BRP take note, probably not. I certainly agree about the brake pedal, I'm 5"7", I would prefer it a bit closer and a bit larger, I want to be able to find that sucker real quick. I suppose the aftermarket will come up with something. From old school, even a hand brake would be nice, but it is what it is.

    I have a 2020 rtl and enjoy it very much. I put on 15,000 km this year on it with no complaints at all. Im short and love the new floorboards as it gives you lots of room to move your feet around when your riding all day seats are nicer for long day rides as well . Im very surprised that you have so many issues with the bike. Spending this kinda money i cant believe you never took more time being your so picky now that you own it. They all have issues of some degree and first year of a model change on this is no exception. That being said im on my third spyder now and i average 15 km a year and i think these are the best bikes yet 🛵👍🏻.

    Very thorough acessment, of that beautiful 2020 Spyder RTL. You would think after 12 + years, ( and many many hours on computer CAD programs. ) they would have figured out these simple and stupid flaws. It's a real shame, that Spyder Lovers spend SO Much money, on these great machines, that BRP insists on continuing, putting cheap low grade parts and low tech solutions, to an otherwise truly impressive innovations. Hopefully BRP will hear everybody, and do something about it. Nicely Done. Thanks for sharing. Keep on Spydering.

You can find the find part of the review here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eYSHrKWbcaXVkcY.html !!! -- Also I need to add a correction to this video about the dash getting washed out in direct sunlight. Now that I've washed the bike a few times, it seems that this can not be reproduced. I've even worn a white tee-shirt to give it the worst possible scenario. I don't know if this was due to some residue on the screen when it was new or what the deal was. I'll either make a correction video and leave this video alone, or I will edit that part out of this video. -- !!!

    The only thing I agree with is about the plastic piece in front of the frunk, the drivers seat should come up a little higher for checking oil or getting gas. I bought my 2020 RTL about 3 weeks ago have 3000 miles on it now. First thing I did was wash it with a lot of suds after drying I used F11 on it let it cure for 2 days and put another coat of F11 on let that cure for 2 days now I just wipe it down with F11 I don't have any paint problems. I'm 6'1" and weigh 270 and 76 years old came off 2-wheelers after 60 years of riding HD touring machines and last was a Indian Chieftain. The hardest thing for me was no Front brake lever. Other than that I love this machine even if it is all plastic and it is relatively cheaper than any other Trike.

    You brought up a lot of good points to consider. I have a 2018 F3 Limited. So my biggest complaint doesn't affect me. Why did BRP remove the turn signals from the back of the mirrors? This also makes it harder to add additional lights.

  • @ridnwithred5607

    @ridnwithred5607

    @Mark, I believe the new RT's are using the same mirrors as they have on the F3's. I think BRP is trying to save as much as possible reusing different elements between the F3 and RT. I think the Top Box for the 2020 RT and F3 are the same now, just with different part numbers, same as the mirrors.

    I decided to use the mcguire's ceramic wax and detailerI . so far no issues. Use a buffing pad soak it In water rinse the water out Spray 2 shots of ceramic wax on the pad Give it a few seconds wipe Super shiny Slippery Got your base down Now when your bike gets dirty. hoes it off. And while it's wet use a detailer ceramic . super easy. This way your paint won't scratch. 2 the best of my knowledge . I just did it Have a 2021 marcello red black 16 miles on it. I have The 2021 Can-am RT limited SPIDER marcello red black. And we are still having fitment problems toward the back by the passenger rails. Zip ties ,metal clips side cover lose mirrors mud. Flap not fitting off to one side trunk close and still opens front trunk don't want to open .front tires low. Must not be sealed lost 10psi in 3 weeks .mirrors can be updated but it will cost me 75.00 Dollars. Because it is not a recall or safety problem. But I still love 💘 the bike it's. More of a cosmetic issue.

    Thanks for the video, I also understand that the body panels on the 2020 don't fit and are held together with zip ties, and you can't put bolts in. And with all the issues you point out, I'm glad I waited. I have a 19 so I'm in no hurry to trade it in. Maybe next year when they get some of the bugs out. Nice looking ride though. I'd run with the trunk panel on just like you do. Really good looking without the top trunk. Stunning, really. And it should at least have indicators for the back seat/hand hold heaters. At least the switches should light up. That's almost unbelievable. How long have they been doing this? And why no Android support? Still going with slave labor Apple. I have to use a phone app to get bluetooth music. Where are you supposed to put the phone? That's junk in my book. And the headlight body panel should be body color like the older machines, not black. It looks hideous in black. Especially on the white machine. And no more Nav option. The Canadians are going backwards with the tech end of this machine. It reminds me of Rolls Royce when they first started putting computers in their cars. A half baked effort. My machine with Nav, cost me 31,000 dollars and the Nav doesn't even integrate to the rest of the machine. So it won't go through the machines speakers. It only uses it for the power wire. There's no excuse for this. That's a LOT of money for so many short comings. And they don't even offer it on the 2020. All my cars have a real Nav system. Serious bummer on the 2020.

Due diligence before buying would have found most of what you are talking about. It's just hard to reconcile that you love the machine and bash it like this. JMHO

    Your rite, I sold Luxury cars for almost 20 years. Luxury brands are pretty good but the last 5 years before I retired I worked for Hyundai and they sold most of their cars with cheep Kumo’s. Yuck, I bought an Elantra Limited before I retired and while the tires were ok, they sucked in the snow and rain. I replaced them with some Yokohama’s that are heads and shoulders ahead of them in snow and rain. Loved the Hyundai brand though, have had my Elantra since 2015 and it has been perfect in operation. Have only replaced the tires, wipers, Battery and front break pads. Didn’t even need rotors! The car has been a real dream!
